Smooth Ride
Weakness:
Price, Price, Price, Price, Price I bought the Michelin MXV4s as replacements for the stock tires for the G20 (Bridgestones). I paid a tremendous amount for the tires (replacing all four cost over $500) and was not very satisfied with the tires given their price. In general they are smooth and relatively quiet, but tread wear is worse than average and I kept having flats with the tires (maybe a very soft compound). I replaced them eventually with Pirelli P4000s, which were about half the price and were just as smooth with better tread wear and no flats. Similar Products Used: Pirelli P4000s - the Pirellis were better than the Michelins and were only half the price |

Strength:
quiet, long lasting (unfortunately)
Weakness:
traction, feel, handling, mileage, high price These tires are truly an abomination. They failed to deliver the promised increase in milage, and utterly ruined the rapid reflexes and precise handling of the Accord. It transformed my car into a wallowy barge. It was like driving on marshmallows. Frustratingly, they've lasted for over 40k. Similar Products Used: The old MXV3, or the Dunlop D60A are vastly superior |

2000/Fabia Comfort 100
Strength:
Quiet, reliable in most occasions and can hold the car when mostly needed. Very capable in heavy rain.
Weakness:
Sometimes unpredictable. They squeak loud when accelerating and have many difficulties when changing terrains (wet-to-dry). It is a generaly good tire, but not the best ever encountered. It squeaks a lot when I try to accelerate a bit faster (not hard) and it's sometimes unpredictable, but it makes up for it (sometimes). Very quiet and reliable at high speeds. They need lots of "warm up" or else you can end up floating around if a hard occasion occurs. Similar Products Used: Standard tire, comes from the factory. |

Weakness:
Noisy, ill-handling, rough-riding, expensive These were the original equipment on this car, and when they wore out, I replaced them with the same. By the time the second set wore out I was certain there had to be a better tire out there for the car. The Nittos I replaced them with were a real eye-opener. They were better in every respect, including wear and appearance. I found these tires to be vastly over-rated and over-priced. After this experience, I doubt that I will ever buy another set of Michelin tires. Similar Products Used: Nitto Exteme 450's |

Strength:
Flexible solid road handling, excellent traction in dry conditions and far superior to anything in the same price range. The consistency of manufacture makes anololies non-existent.
Weakness:
Short life span and traction can deteriorate a little on a wet track. I drive a light sports car in many condtions. As a all-round tire for fun, this one is a fine choice. Similar Products Used: Pirelli 6000s are no match |

Very good ride; nice and round. Mine lasted 55k miles with rotation and balance each 4k miles. Ok in rain.
Weakness:
Cost, smoothe ride but just o.k. performance tire. Oh did I mention that they cost way to much. Wonderful for a Mercedes but not sporty enough for a Porsche or BMW. These tires have always been used on my wifes car up until now. I will still buy Michelins but maby not the MXV4's.( to costly; over kill on Mercedes ) Dealer suggested Michelin X-1; I'll let you know. Similar Products Used: Goodyear, Yoko, Firestone |

Strength:
Great drivability, good over all surfaces. Noise is minimal and the tire provides a stable feel.
Weakness:
It seems like the dry traction is a little lacking and the treadware is a little worse than what I expected. I guess I pushed them too hard. The tire is great as a luxury tourer but not for spirited performance driving. Similar Products Used: None |

Strength:
- Nice quiet and smooth ride.
Weakness:
- Tread wear is not good. These tire came with the car. Although they only have 28k on them, the front tires probably have 8k left on them. They are in bad shape, I just had to replace a blow out on my rear and replaced the front two. The tires do not impress me at all after 1yr and 5 mos. At 28k miles, I had hoped they last longer. I am an agressive driver, but how can a tire get a work out in a diesel engine? I turn tight and do hear the tire squel. So it could be my driving habits. Strength:
This is the QUIETEST tire I have ever encountered. They replaced some Dunlop tires that were on the vehicle when I bought the car (used). The car handles very well and the tread wear is minimal.
Weakness:
I wish I bought a higher speed rating so the car would handle even better. I would recommend this tire unreservedly! Similar Products Used: This is the best tire I have ever owned in 42 years of driving. |
