Strength:
Last, last, last........ Good in all conditions
Weakness:
Price very hight Very good tires. Not very sporty, but good tread life. I bought this tires in 1996, and came whit my Honda Civic. They have now 86000 Km, and they are quiet good in the tread, but the ruber is very bad now. I have my car in a garge, so the sun and the rain don,t damage the tires, and the type of driving is very smmoth, and this reflects the duration of the tyres. Strength:
Quiet, smooth ride. Excellent in rain. Very good on snow.
Weakness:
None for now. Model: Energy MXV4 Plus Size: 205/60R16 91H Price: 184$ CDN (115$ US)Incl. Tax & Inst. I have installed these four new tires on our 2000 Camry XLE V6 to get it ready for our spring vacation. A week later, we drove it all the way from Montreal to Melbourne, FL and back. This is 5300Km (3300 Miles). We hit a snow storm in Quebec and at 65mph it made no difference. We had really heavy rain all the way from Virginia to NC and at 80 mph it was holding the road like dry. On dry pavement it is smooth and quiet no mather the speed (and we tried them all). I find these tires to be a really good quality. Much better than the Bridgestone Potenza originally installed by Toyota in the car (which were 80% finished at less than 30.000Km = 19.000 miles). Of course the MXV4 are more expensive, but you get only what you pay for... Similar Products Used: Bridgestone Potenza RE92 91H Micheline MX4 |

Strength:
Quiet, at least in the Accord. Nothing else.
Weakness:
Price, dry-wet traction, treadwear. Did I say price?? These tires are OK, if you don''t see the price tag. As soon as you read the price tag, you''d think these tires are expensive pieces of crap!! They squeal like pigs in turns, hard acceleration, and braking. Their dry traction is so so, wet traction is also so so. They don''t like to be hurried. Treadwear is also disappointing. I have 29K miles of leisure driving on these factory tires and they only have 4/32nd tread left. Probably less. I expect tires with 400 treadwear to last at least 75K miles. Michelin Energy MXV4
Strength:
Very quiet with terrific handling in both snow, rain and dry pavement.
Weakness:
Very expensive. I own an Acura and needed to replace my sport tires. I decided on the Energy MXV4 because of the quality and overall characteristics. I have read other reviews about them being noisy but I can tell you that is totally false. They were much quieter than my Michelin high performance tires and handle great. I''m told the corner well at high speeds but lets get real this is only necessary if you hot rod your car. So I guess I actually know of no strengths.
Weakness:
Unbelievably noisy. My only worse experience was studded snow tires. If you like to feel the road you certainally will with these tires. As a matter of fact you will constantly feel every Anyone who has this tire and thinks they have the type of ride and acceptable noise level for the money they paid has never owned a good set of tires. the came as original equipment on my Acura CL. I had read reviews and the car before I bought it that the tires were noisy and provided a very unpleasant ride. Those reviews were very correct and it is hard to believe that Acura puts them on a car as expensive as the CL. You not only hear but you get a jolt every time you hit every expansion joint on the highway. I just put on a set of Pirelli 6000s and the ride and noise are considerable improved. None that I can think of
Weakness:
Noisey, lousey in rain, snow and slush. Didn''t last 1 year. Very poor quality!! Didn''t even make it to their warrenty of 40,000. Spend most of my driving on the highway. Very poor in the snow and slush. Way to much money Similar Products Used: Because of Michelin''s name I am going to try their Symmetry Tire at about half the price of the MXV4 Plus Energy |

Lot''s of meat; excellent grip. Couldn''t get them to break loose on dry turns; good looks.
Weakness:
Noisier than a Led Zepplin reunion for deaf people! You can feel the road surface when you run over a cigarette butt. After using Michelin tires for years & getting really good mileage and performance out of them, these tires were a mistake. I found this site and had to agree with the others about the noise they produce. They are (were) so noisy & ill mannered my wife and I both have stopped to see if we had a flat tire. We were running them on a 1995 Toyota Avalon unit I sold them to a friend to run on his beater. The Avalon came with Dunlop SP4000 Touring tires when new and they were like riding on a glass sheet. After putting on the MXV4''s it was like a cobblestone road. I will say they gripped the road like velcro in most situations but they put out more decibles than the stereo system. Wayyyy too much feel of the road surface. The Dunlops were half the price & twice the performance. I don''t think (or care) they will come close to lasting as long as the MXV4''s, but I am happy to own a set of tires I can''t hear or feel and still give me a good sense of confidence Similar Products Used: Dunlop SP4000 Touring |

None My jetta came with these tires stock. the front ones went bald at about 12000 miles and somehow got a gash on one of them. I never had problems with tires like this. Somehow for what they are worth they seemed a bit of a rip off. Similar Products Used: None |

good ride, wet/dry traction
Weakness:
treadwear should be more for a higher priced tire, steering response just ok The MXV4 Energy Plus 215/55R16 on my 97 Maxima SE have been good performers in my driving conditions (S. Florida). They''ve been reasonably quiet, don''t hydroplane, never a balance problem. Similar Products Used: None |
