Strength:

Very pleased with ttread wear for a factory tire.

Weakness:

Hydroplane a little in rain.

I put 61,000 miles on these tires in 25 months. I am just now shopping for replacements and after reading other reviews on this seb site I am totally confused on the performance other have reported. I have never noticed the noise. I am overall pleased with their performance to date. No flats or bulges in 61,000 miles.

Super short life and high price.

Handling of these tires is amazing. I don't like to slow down on the turns this is one of the tires I have to use. The bad thing that I have to replece them every year paying 500 in Costo. The problem is I so used to hadling of these tires that I most likly will crash my car if I switch to someting else. So I am stack.

I drive a 99 Saab 9-3 that I bought used about 8 months ago. I just wanted to say that the car has 41,000 miles on it and I need to replace the tires already. One of the points I made when trying to convince my wife that we should buy this car was that it had Michelins on it that would probably last a while. Now I find myself trying to decide whether or not to follow the Saab tech's advice to replace witht he same tire ($750 for 4 !!!), or go with some less expensive option.

Strength:

The Michelin name

Weakness:

Apparently not good quality, develops sidewall bubbles from the slightest "bump". EXPEN$IVE!!!!! NOISY!

The MXVs came standard when I purchased my '99 Acura brand new. I have put at least 4 new tires on my car. Not because of wear, because my tires keep developing "bulges" in the side wall. I am a very careful driver. There are alot of potholes out there, but I haven't hit anything out of the ordinary. And yet, I now have to purchase TWO more tires because of the same problem. You can bet they will not be Michelins

auwul performance on Accord in snow.

Those tires came with my Honda Accord 2000. The tracktion is ok in good weather or rain. I don't hear any noise probably because my music is too loud. In snowy weather it sucks....

I replaced 2 sets of Goodyear Eagles with the MXV4 Plus. I have the 17" and the tyres handle fabulously. There is only one major complaint. They produce a whirring sound that is driving me nuts!

price,and lose air to fast.

after reading some reviews here,i began to think i was experencing some of problems ive saw.so icheched my tire pressure and they had 30 psi.i filled them to 35 and the car handles much better.not as mushy, wanders much less, less under steer.they seem to lose air very fast.i had just cheaked them 3 or 4 wks. ago.all four lost evenly.i will ck. again in 4 wks.to make sure.i turned my radio down and they do make some noise, but i play my radio mod. loud so not a problem.have not had them long enough to say how i will like them overall .but there may be tire for much less that i could live with.so far i say this tire is acceptable.at present air pressure,i dont exprenence tire squel.ride is no longer mushy.

Strength:

None

Weakness:

Unacceptable wear. Michelin will not back up their product. Poor rain performance False advertising with tread wear life

Came OEM on NEW car, had a problem with a broken belt in tread, and the best Michelin could do was a discount on a replacement. Tires only had less than a year and 14k on them, and are now essentially worthless. These tires are advertised as a high milage tire, with a 10/32 tread depth, after the 14k, they only have 4/32 left on all four tires. Essentially meaning that the tire has less than a 30k mile life. Michelin customer service rep confirmed this, and that is why there is NO tread warrantee on these tires. Tires also were not round, as measuring tread depth around tire produced 3 or 4/32 of tread depth differences. Michelin customer service said this is normal. So I guess out of round tires are the norm for them. Tires have not been abused and have not been driven in winter. Michelin will not stand behind their tires, which was not the impression everybody gives them. For the price of these tires, and their driving performance, you could get 2 sets of 50k mile tires for less money and be much better off. I will NEVER consider Michelin tires again.

I have over 60,000 miles on this set of tires and will be buying my next set in a few weeks. The tires were on my Accord when I purchased it 4 years ago. They have been maintained regularly. I have been amazed at how well they have worn.
