    Strength:

Excellent tire if you get the A Traction types.

    Weakness:

Can't comment on the B tractions since I will not use them.

I'm in the process of getting new Long Trail T/A tires...same size (265/70 R15). PAY ATTENTION TO THIS: If you get these tires rated with a B traction rating (printed on the sidewall) I understand that they do not handle well on wet roads. My originals were A traction rated and handled very well (until they hit 55,000 miles and had little tread left). I'm almost to 59k miles and I'm having the same kind put on my truck. The tire dealership ordered my tires and the B traction rated kind showed up...I told them I didn't want them, so now they're getting me the other kind directly from BF Goodrich.

SE V6 4x4 trucks and Pathfinders chew up the right tire due to the camber & caster limitations.

Great road ride. I just rolled 85,000 miles. I Kept them rotated every 3-4000 miles. I can't remember exactly how much I paid; it's been so long.

Durable for rocky country roads; reliable; great in heat, ice, and rain

    Weakness:

    only 97,000 miles!

I bought my Rodeo with the BF Goodrich L/T tires on it...That was in 1997. Just 2 weeks ago, I had them replaced after 6 years, and 97,000 miles! They NEVER gave me a problem. They were the most reliable tires I have ever used. I realize not everyone will get 97,000 miles, but I was sure impressed. Better yet, when I went to have the new tires put on(exact same brand!), the tire dealership was impressed! We own 4 vehicles, and we are getting ready to put new tires on my sons truck. . it has only 43,000 miles, and worthless tires. Be assured that when our tires are replaced, they will all be replaced with this tire.

4 months of tire life Tire life ended with blowout 75% of my ground contact is unsafe the cost of replacing need I go on?

The BF Goodrich Radial Long trails came standard on my 2002 Nissan Frontier. I have owned this truck for 4 months. Yesterday, my 17 yr old had the right rear blow out on way to school. After closer inspection, the tire had a 1/2" "ring" around the entire outside. I was told this was due to driving with low pressure. Now I know my truck like the back of my hand and my tire was not low. Factory spec. I check every Sat morning while washing. So to eliminate my sanity from the equasion, I brought the truck to a Tire Wholesaler who put it on the lift and showed me that 3 out the 4 tires have this same defect. I have not had the chance to call BF Goodrich, but I will tell you this...regardless of the outcome of that phone call, DO NOT BUY THESE TIRES!! They are not safe!

They look nice and are relatively quiet.

    Weakness:

Wet roads, Dry roads, White letters come off easily.

These are the first tires I have ever been afraid to drive on in wet conditions. They seemed fine for about 10,000 miles, but the performance started deteriorating soon after. On dry roads they are at best - acceptable, but on wet roads they are an adventure.

    still pending....

    Weakness:

crawling over things the wrong way tends to rub off white lettering while taking soft top off of Jeep, rubber will temporarily (aka until washed) soil cloths with incidental contact of sidewalls

I bought my Jeep used with the 31X10.5 BFG Radial Long Trails on it. I don''t get all the bad reviews about the tires. I live in Florida which ,on occasion, has quasi-monsoons come through. This coupled with the erratic street driving of the city power-brakers [i.e. a driver who accelerates to pass you while heading toward a red light and then pulling back in front of you and slamming on brakes], puts me in perfect environment of testing these tires. I have had no problem so far, and if the tread holds up, I will buy them again.

Wet pavement handling and good all around fire road tire

    Weakness:

Not the off roaders equvelent to the all terrains Bf''s. and not the greatest handler.

Not had any flats and I do alot of driving off roads with sharp rocks at fast speeds. Not had good luck with steep of road hill but does well on the street. Not a mudder and not great at off road steep climbs but does well on pavement.Great for fire roads and is easy to control in fast corner slides on gravel, your mud tire buddies would be in the ditch, hill or over the cliff. Road the tire does well and wet pavement handling is exellent. Not the greatest cornering tire but ok due to being a little soft on sidewall flex.

    Strength:

Excellent traction in snow and rain. Plenty of siping and aggressive (but quiet) tread design. Great price for the quality of tire.

    Weakness:

Can only be mounted with white lettering out.

I purchased these tires after reading about them in Consumer Reports. They rated these tires as very high in wet driving conditions and traction. They were right on with their evaluation. The tires must be mounted correctly for optimum traction. I have them mounted on a 1998 Isuzu Amigo and have driven extensively in the rain as well as mountain passes with snow. I am very pleased with the tires and would not hesitate to recommend them to others.
