Strength:
Good ride quality, do well on dirt roads, handle corners well enough (keep in mind it''s a pickup). Haven''t had any problems on wet roads, but haven''t seen snow yet. To the people with SUV''s that are complaining: Keep in mind what you''re driving. A 6,000 lb tahoe will tend to be hard on tires, and will handle differently than a car! While tires can help, they can''t make it a vette.
Weakness:
I got a piece of metal thru the tread at 2K miles, had to replace the tire for safety reasons. Other than that they''ve been fine. Tires came OE on 17x7.5" rims. I am impressed with the handling, both on road and off. I have about 10K miles on them, they look like about 80% is left. I may but them again if the price is right. I figure I''ll have them another 30,000 miles if they last as good as they are now. Similar Products Used: None, I''ve had big offroad trucks before this one. |

Strength:
Smooth, tough, GREAT traction
Weakness:
Bit noisy The water must be different around here. I have not noticed the hydroplaning. Great tire, buy them. Similar Products Used: Firestone ATX |

Strength:
Quiet, soft highway ride.
Weakness:
Very poor handling especially on wet pavement. This was the OEM tire on my '99 Yukon 4x4 but they are absolutetly worthless on anything more demanding than a hard-packed dry dirt road. Should be labeled with a "Slippery Shen Wet" badge. Lots of squealing/complaining from the tires when just keeping pace with traffic in mild corners even with proper alignment and inflation. Pretty whimpy looking. Seems sorely out of place on a 4x4. Average performance on fresh snow, but notably poor on ice. The on-road handling of a pure mud tire with the off-road performance of a racing slick. The worst of both worlds. I suspect that BF Goodrich had to pay GM to get them to make these horrible tires OEM on such popular vehicles (probably paid for by the advertising department). Similar Products Used: Have had experience with Uniroyal Laredo AWT tires. Much better handling on and off road although these are much more agressive off-road tires. Slightly noisier, though. |

Excellent, couldnt say anything bad about them, but since bf goodrich has been owned by Michelin since 1986 who could?
Weakness:
None, although my tread pattern looks different that the picture shown slightly. The pattern I have seems to have four different types to it, and yes, they must be mounted white letter out, I would suggest checking for a directional arrow showing which way it should be mounted if your experiancing any hydro-planing from these tires, as mine are quite exceptional in the rain for traction. $99.99 a piece at B.J.s wholesale club - thats a bargain for this kind of quality Similar Products Used: Although we all have heard about the Firestone Wilderness At/atx tires, and that is what I am judging from, I also believe this is the best as/at tire with best all around use with minimal noise and maximum traction |

Strength:
Quiet, good dry handling, good snow traction, nice ride, long wear.
Weakness:
Wet traction is scary. Why they're good on snow and bad on wet I don't know! Not a hydroplaning problem; just feel slick. Tires came on my 2000 Nissan Xterra. The tires are so exceptional for the type of tire they are in dry and snow conditions that it's really unfortunate that they are poor when the road is wet. I've had several close calls with them in the rain while cornering, accelerating, and braking. As mentioned above, the problem is not hydroplaning, just poor stick. Overall, I would only recommend these tires to those who live somewhere where it doesn't rain much. Similar Products Used: None |

Strength:
Ride more quietly than my Wilderness AT's
Weakness:
Absolutely terrible on snow/ice. I have had major handling problems with just a little bit of ice on the roads. I just don't like the handling, and with no traction on snow/ice - I would not recommend these tires to anyone... Similar Products Used: I want my Firestone Wilderness' back! |

Weakness:
These tires hydroplane more than any tire I have ever used. Above post said that they were good in water? I will have to disagree. They came as OE on a Nissan Frontier four door 2000. I've got 17k on them and they seem to be wearing well, but when it rains in So. Cal. I will have to stay home. Seem very unsafe to me. Similar Products Used: None |

Strength:
Quiet on road tire. They're great in wet conditions and good in snow.
Weakness:
They're weak. I've blow out two side-walls with these tires just driving on the road. I guess I would recomend these tires to anyone who does most of their driving on road with an occasional off road adventure. However, the side-walls do seem to be weak. They won't take a lot of abuse. Similar Products Used: BFG All-Terrain. I perfer the All-Terrain because I do a lot of driving in the snow and on dirt roads. The Long Trails don't give me the confidence I need to get where I need to go. |
