    Strength:

Very reassuring handling in wet weather. Not quite a snow tire, but more than adequate for ocassional snow travel.

    Weakness:

Not as aggressive a tire tread as I would prefer

Very decent all-season M+S tires. While not the best summer or winter tire, they are a very good compromise. Compared to Goodyear Wranglers, they are magnificent. I live in western Oregon, where it rains 8 months out of the year. I drive aggressively but sanely, and have never experienced any slippage or other traction problems with these tires. They safely navigate large standing puddles and flooded lane troughs on the interstates. At 6000 miles, they've always handled predictably and are a very quiet and smooth riding tire.

    A+ all the way around.

    Weakness:

I'll wright back when I have one.

With only 90,000 miles on these tires they still have 3/4" of tread left. they show little wear, should be able to get over 100,000 miles easy. Good on dry, wet, or snow covered pavement. I dont under stand all the bad reviews. From what I see on the road people are driving there trucks and SUVs like they are driving a car. This does not work. Maybe look at your driving habits and don't blame the tires.

    Weakness:

Tire squeal at low speeds while turning, but who really cares.

Bought my 96 Rodeo which came with the Long Trail T/A-- I now have 118,000+ miles on the car and although the tires are now getting thin, I still have 3 of the original tires and am driving on them daily. Road debris took out the other 2 tires. UNBELIVABLE

    Strength:

Super road gripping, wet or dry. Superior performance on gravel roads, wet or dry. I really feel safe on these tires and I drive on some of the worse road condtions around. The improved braking is really noticable. These tires really grip!

    Weakness:

    Haven't found any yet.

I replaced my Goodyear Wrangler tires with the BF Goodrich Long Trail tires last week. I have an F-150 pickup, 4WD. These tires are a HUGE improvement. I used to hydroplane at 50mph with the Goodyears and today I drove at 70mph in standing water with no hydroplaning. They seem to really grip the road. On dry pavement, the performance is much better with much better braking. The same for dry gravel roads. I can drive wet, squishy gravel roads at 45mph, while with the Goodyears, I was limited to 20mph even with 4WD. I will have to wait a while to test them in snow/ice conditions, but, so far, these are the safest tires I've ever owned.

    Strength:

Good traction. QUIET ride. Good in snow, rain, mud, sand if driven responsibly. Great highway ride and control. Great control in the rain.

    Weakness:

    NONE. BIG ZERO

Had Goodyear Wrangler's on my truck when new but had to get rid of them because of the extreme noise. Bought my BF Goodrich Long Trail T/A's, size 31/10.5/15, at the PX and have been VERY happy ever since. Lost a small amount of traction in snow but very acceptable. Still have plenty of traction when driving sensibly. Now have 40,000 miles on them and probably 20,000 left. Going for another set end of September.

    As reported and more...

Initially these tires were recommended by Public Tire as "the best" tire for a GMC Suburban. Upon driving it during the summer/fall of 2002, it seemed to be a good tire, however, when winter weather arrived, the performance was abysmal. The tires were removed for the winter and remounted this spring [2003], and, now the tire which purportedly had positive reports do not measure up. Lamentably, the tire is extremely uncrisp performance wise, its squeals at parking lot speeds, etc. Eventhough the tire is relatively new, they will be changed, and, used as tire swings for the kids.

We leased a 99 grand cherokee with the standard goodyear tires. Highspeed handling and winter traction were poor. A salesman from COSTCO recomended the long trail. So we bought a set choosing the largest size our factory manuel recommended. The results were very good. We drove the car for approximately 9 months til our lease was up and that included a full winter of driving our ice and snowy roads. The traction was excellent and handling at higher speeds was much much better. I was very impressed with these tires and plan to replace my michelins on my suburban with them when the time comes . My michelin ltx 10.5x31's are horrible on ice and snow.

    Strength:

Great for carrying load on a dry paved surface.

    Weakness:

They slip when you go over the reflectors in the middle of a two-lane highway, they slip on smoothly paved highways.

I got what I asked for. I wanted an E-rated tire for heavy load. I bought 4 tires. They are all nice and round. They all match; look like they were made on the same day. They have excellent traction when my truck is parked, whether it is raining or snowing. The rubber is nice and hard, so I believe they will last a long time...... No, I have not driven on these tires yet, but I am going to.

Goodrich should keep the heavy duty tire carcass construction, but should put soft rubber on the treads so that the tire grabs better.

These tires came on my 1997 Rodeo. Had fantastic experience with them, they lasted for 70K miles - only having to be changed out due too many nail patches. Had these tires in Las Vegas, NV, so don't have any experience with snow/ice - but in the rain they held up well for the speed that should be driven when it's raining. I think some people drive WAY too fast in the rain, then blame the tire for insufficient traction. Not saying that's the case with all reviewers - however, I know that's the case in Colorado, where I live now. When it rains, the highway speed should drop - most people still go 65-75 mph and expect to stay on the road?! Not gonna happen. Talk about horrible tires, that's the Goodyear wranger's I have now - I can't stay on the road doing 35-40mph in the rain. Next set is Bridgestone Dueler Revo's - SOON!

    Weakness:

    Too many to think of.

These tires are the absolute worst tires I have ever owned. I have 36 K on my Trailblazer and the tires need replacement very soon. One tire has a bubble in the side wall. They are bad in Snow and wet weather. The ride on these tires is awful. I can't wait to replace them with a better tire.
