Horrible Customer Service!! My car got written off as a total loss at the beginning of march. It's been three weeks and I still haven't gotten a response from a claims representative, as to the status of my claim. My policy covers me with a rental for 30 days. I have been paying with a credit card. No one knows anything, and they give you the run around. As soon as my policy expires, I'm dropping them!! Similar Products Used: State farms and progressive had much better customer service. |

Pin Heads making policy decisions. BAIT & SWITCH is what I call it. I purchased AUTO and HOME insurance from them. My re-newal comes up in a month and they called to tell me my HOME Insurance was going from $1,200.00 to $2,200.00. Needless to say I am looking elsewhere. They have changed the preimum because I live in a "wind" area. I'm 3.6 miles from what is called the Mississippi Sound.. Ten miles from the Gulf of Mexico. I have lived here 24 years and NEVER had a claim. Pin Heads don't look at claim history..Just the fact that I am within 5 miles of water. Insurance companies ALL OF THEM want you to pay the premiums BUT when it comes time for them to pay that is another story. If they don't want to pay... In my opinion they should have gone into some other business. Similar Products Used: GEICO pulled the same thing after the first year I was with them... |

I have been blatantly decieved by 2 different claims people. They assured me they would treat me right becasue they wanted me to become a customer. They certainly have not, and on top of that they continue to lie and contradict themselves. I am not insured by them, however the responsible driver of the wreck is. They are being typical insurance company jerks. They have literally lied to me and contradicted themselves more than once. I'm considering a lawsuit against their insured to make up for them not giving me fair value for my car. AND I DO NOT ASK NOT FOR MORE THAN FAIR MARKET VALUE OF MY CAR!! So in consideration of Liberty Mutual for your insurance company, understand they are shifty and treat the other party poorly. I am the victim however they act like they are the victim. Now their insured may become the victim due to their shortcomings. I vow to do all I can to pursuade folks that Liberty Mutual is not the way to go. |

The multi million dollar firm steals 7,500$ out of me the individual working 60 hrs a week. They should take the time to look at these fraudulent cases instead of just handing money over, then blaiming the indiv who did nothing. When I tapped him I ran to the car told him not to get up is your neck and back OK. He just said long as my car is fine so am I. Looked at his car NO damage he rushed off. I think you paid him damage to his car too. Pretty funny. If you have this ins. Make note how this could help you.

Guy new you would hand him money. So got an atty went and saw atty buddy the chiro how rung up bills. Atty and Chiro rich. Man get some leftovers. Hes old and poor so any is good to him. Hes happy. Now you blame me. You should got atty to find out the accident. He laughed and took off no damage to his. You now if car damaged he'd a called the cops. You hand out money and cry foul at the same time. I can't understand how I bump a guy 5 miles an hour. Guys fine, rushes off. 4 years later you go after me for 35,000 claiming injuries. Only one time you contact me 35000 dollar lawsuit.. Now your atty settles out of court fot 7500$. I talked to atty they said I'm stuck for it. Similar Products Used: Two other attys said they would take the case for 5000 but same thing. This is just the truth of what happened to me. Hopefully this won't happen to you. |

Weakness:
-Impossible to talk to your agent, or adjuster. -Not willing to discuss. -They don't have any Idea of what customer service is. I am dealing with a settlement and they are impossible to contact. All you can do is leave a message and hope they call you back. It is usually 3 days to a week to get back to me. They are also not willing to make a drive to meet and discuss the terms of the settlement. I have set up one meeting, but a week later, the day of the meeting they called and canceled. Pay lost wages, Nice adjuster, prompt payment, no bs accusations, I felt like they respected me and were trying to earn my business by treating me well. No pressure. I would like to switch from Allstate when my policy is up. She even left her cell phone number on her voice mail and so you can always reach her.
Weakness:
Honestly I cant think of anything. Since I haven''t settled yet can''t be 100% sure but I feel confident any reasonable offer will be accepted. I was rear ended by a Liberty Mutual policy holder and was dreading the whole experience. It took about a week to get communication rolling but once it started it was great. The adjusters name is Deb Anderson and she paid my lost wages 100% with no arguing. I just had to get proof from doc and work and she would either mail my wages or (get this!) drive to my house and give me the check! My car was assesed what I feel was a fair value considering there was almost no visible damage. I have yet to settle with them yet because I was rear ended again by an allstate policyholder and my back has been acting up. Allstate won''t pay me lost wages (they say it''s impossible), but gave me a pretty good deal on my car. They are also hard to get ahold (everybody seems to be on vacation). Similar Products Used: Allstate- I''ve been hit by people with them and have them myself. I''ll be switching when my policy is up. I haven''t tried to settle yet so the nightmare has just begun. |

Initially the service was great, nice people and a reasonable rate.
Weakness:
Was lied to about discounts and renewal price ( which was suddenly jacked up to 3 times my previous price! From $88 / mo to $196 / mo!!! Lies, Misleading information, calling the local office and it being busy for hours on end. Total faceless corporation with no people connection whatsoever. Oh, and way, way too expensive. Similar Products Used: None yet but am looking right now. Travelers gave me a cheaper quote. |

Fairly good customer service.
Weakness:
A little unorganized when it comes to communicating with different departments. For example, after my car was considered totalled they kept sending car insurance bills. After a few calls it worked out though. Considering that insurance is what insurance is and in general it is a nasty business Liberty Mutual does pretty good. In Massachusettes the cost of coverage only changes depending on your driving record and what kind of coverage you want. Thus, if I go to 3 different places wanting the same coverage they will come up with the same quote. This is the only reason I left Liberty Mutual for Commerce Insurance because they are the only Insurance company in MA that gives a discount for being a AAA member. I'm not sure if this was a good idea however after reading their reviews. I was previously with Liberty Mutual for 11 years and only had one claim. I leased my 1998 Honda and it was stolen only months before the 3 year lease was to end. The joy riders smashed in my hood and tore out the ignition etc. I have to admit that there was some disorganization for example the paper work was sent with only the letter and no paper work. This added about 2 weeks onto the claim time. My father was a co-signer on the lease and they kept insisting on sending him the info and not me (even though I was the only one they had dealt with received payment from etc for the nearly 3 years). However, after some patience everything worked out. My claims rep was very helpful and when she wasn't their someone else could always help me (re-approve car rental etc.) In fact, they covered my car rental for a full month, paid off my leasing company completely. Granted this all took almost 2 months and in the end they still sent the paperwork to my father to sign in order to salvage the car. But hey I made $260 after it was all over. Similar Products Used: Currently using Commerce Insurance through AAA (recieved 6% discount for being a member) and now that I've read their reviews I'm wondering if I should of switched. |

I was unable to ever contact my Agent to speak to him about changes or to even get a quote for additional insurance for a home I was going to purchase. Because of his lack of interest in return multiple calls, I strted searching around and found cheaper insurance and better attention with Kemper Insurance Co. (even when I tried to have my policy canceled - they continued taking out automatic payments from my checking account for three months worth of nasty calls and finally letters to my Agents superiors.) I would not recommend them based on my experiences. Similar Products Used: Allstate (cheaper but way worse service), Kemper (more expensive and worse service) |
