I have a 1987 camaro IROC-Z with the 5.7 liter and i'm 16 and i want my car to be badass in muffler sound. I'm fixing to get my first flowmaster and i have been thinking of getting the 40 series because it is so loud and heads turn, but i don't know because i've heard about interior resonance and how much it sucks. e-mail me at b_loc22@hotmail.com and tell me what flowmaster you think i should get.

Very Loud.Extremely durable.somewhat affordable price. If you want to be the loudest than get the flowmaster 40's.

Weakness:

Has a ton of interior resonance.I am running Flowtech terminators on my truck now and they are loud outside but not inside like the flowmasters. you can't talk to anybody in your car because of the resonance

This is a very good muffler. It is the loudest muffler i have found besides the one chamber flowmaster race muffler.

Sound, sound, sound! deep and throaty sounds are a real head turner. Chicks dig it too :)

Weakness:

I have no complaints.

had OEM resonator removed and 2 flowmaster 40's welded to an otherwise stock exhaust system. Maybe the type of exhaust system or the car but they sound excellent, very rich and deep sound , yet not so loud you cannot hear the stereo at low volumes.

Strength:

ALL. very tough and rugged, do not dent or puncture like others ive had. very solid constuction.

Weakness:

NONE

These Mufflers are the best around. The welded construction makes them tough as balls. I have no CATS so they sound even better. And high RPM sounds flat out awesome. The only thing i liked more than these was driving my truck to the shop "open headder".

Strength:

Loud, nice powerful tone at idle and during acceleration. I totally recommend it to anyone with a v6 or v8. I dont know about v4s as I dont own a vehicle with one.

Weakness:

Wasnt REALLY loud at first but after loosing a converter and letting the muffler break in alittle, it sounds AWESOME.

I bought this muffler to make my truck louder and give it a more agressive tone... And thats exactly what it did. I was very pleased with the deep tone it gave my truck. Im running a 40 series dual outlet with 2.25 pipes coming out behind the cab on both sides. The muffler takes alittle while to break in but after it does it sounds awesome. It has a pretty deep tone at idle (not bad for a v6) and during acceleration it sounds badass. My truck (for some reason) came stock with 2 converters, it was loud with them both on there but after i cut the rear one off and unclogged the front, I could almost tell a double in the sound quality and loudness in my exaust (no bull). I would reccomend this to anyone who has a v6 and is trying to get a pretty beasty sound out of it.

Gained some ponies, 10, maybe 15. Bye-bye back pressure!

Weakness:

Might scare the deer when I hit the woods.

I highly recommend Flowmaster Delta Flow 40 Cat Back System to all. Head-turning, throaty, deep sound. Equalized at highway speeds to a low mellow tone. Hell, the ricers at the muffler shop were more impressed than I. Complimented the K&N cold air induction nicely.

EVERYTHING!!!!!! GREAT PRICE TOO

I have a Dodge Durango SLT 4X4, with the 5.9L 360 V8 Magnum. I have done many upgrades to my ride, but I believe the one upgrade I cherrish the most, was my Flowmaster 40 series Muffler. I believe this is probably worth every penny I spent on it. People turn their heads everywhere, because the sound is nice and aggresive. Friends at my highschool give me compliments, and many rice burners get scared. I was at a red light one day and a Honda Civic came up with some wimpy weedeater sounding exhuast and was revvin it, so I revved back and he looked very impressed. If you all are looking for a nice sound to add to ur ride, get FLOWMASTER!

Strength:

My low end power stayed the same or I didnt notice any difference but on the freeway in fifth and even fourth, I can notice a pretty significant gain in HP.

Weakness:

None at all the interior resonance isnt bad at all.

Let me just start off by saying this is the best sound you will get from your 2.4L 22re. I went to several different locations in the Clark County area to shop around and ask for opinions on what kind of muffler to throw on my 88 toyota pickup. Suprisingly most places recommended Magnaflow over the flowmaster. I had never heard either muffler on a 22re before so i called hazel dell muffler the local store. I went in and got a 2.25 cat back system put on and the guy there slid on a Magnaflow then a Flowmaster muffler so i could get an idea of the sound. The Magnaflow had a good tone but it was very very very quiet (Maybe better on a 6 or a 8 but definitely not a 4). He held up the flow master 40 series (non delta flow) and it sounded wonderful. A real throaty sounding muffler and some interior resonance. I get compliments all the time and I've only had it on for a few days now.

Strength:

Awesome sound at start-up, revving, and acceleration.

Weakness:

Loses some low-end power, and there is some interior resonance that can sometimes be annoying.

I had the stock muffler cut out and a Flowmaster put in a week after getting my truck. It sounds just great. However, I did notice I lost some low end power, but maybe gained some top-end. I also did not gain any better gas mileage, but you gotta love the sound. I replaced my stock airbox with the Mac Products airdam and cone filter system and gained all my power back and then some (still no gain in mileage). I would like to try a full cat-back system but don't like the price.
