Strength:

Extremely loud, makes my 4.8 ltr V-8 sound like a big block.

Weakness:

none

I put the 40 series delta flow on with it turned down before the axle. Loud as @#$% just the way I wanted. I recomend this for anyone with a v-8. I also put a pair on my dads 97 mustang. Now people want to race him at every light.

Allied flow muffler, sounded really good but not as agressive as the flowmaster.

Strength:

good price excellent sound good bottom middle and top end performance

Weakness:

way too loud without a full tipe but sounds strong and seperated with a tailpipe but still sets off alarms

I had a junk single 2 1/4 turbo muffler without a cat, i put on a single 3 inch 40 series delta with a car flow cat and full tailpipe (had to smog it) and i couldn''t believe how much more hp and torque i had, it sounds bad ass and and got a little quieter as it broke in at idle but is louder when you step on it. When i first got th muffler i had them leave the tailpipe off for a week, the first time i drove it on the freeway it dorve me nuts, it sounds best with a full tailpipe

Strength:

Awsome sound, solid construction. Gas mileage improvement.

Weakness:

None

I was recommended the muffler form a friend. And I was amazed how it makes a stock truck sound. If you are after that burbling, poping sound, this is for you. It has a mellow tone at idle, and rumbles when you get on the gas. This thing really bellows in the cab. I''ve also noticed a gas mileage improvement and a little more power in the midrange.

Very Loud...there are ways to make louder or quiter

Weakness:

I have a 99 Tahoe with 350 Vortec, Airaid and K&N, stock cats (live in CA...oh well)I have had a Gibson Cat-Back for 2 years and was satified with it. But It was ok for a family vehicle...Nice mellow sound I need something more. I picked up a 40 series Delta Force 3" in 3"out dropped out the gibson and bolted the Flow in after the Flow put on a 3"x10" extension. Now exhaust is concealed no side or rear exit. It is WAY LOUD! It might be too loud. It is louder than running with no muffler. I will run like this for a while and see how I like it. Right now it sets off alarms and draws stares. Which is not a bad thing

sometimes its too noisy. I think I need ear muff.

I have Honda Accord with 2.2L Engine with automatic transmission. I added muffler tip as well, looks and sounds good. Every time I pass parked cars and sometimes alarm goes off. I like it. If you want to let other people to hear you are coming, I recommend this muffler.

great high performance tone

Although its not very loud at idle, as soon as you put you foot on the gas, you are going to hear it. Around 2000 rpms, it is pretty noisy inside, but once you are crusing, it settles down.

Model Reviewed: 1976 Olds. 442 w/ 455

Strength:

The sound is impressive. Deep tone at low rpms and a more aggresive sound at higher rpms. The idle makes the car sound like it wants to go. Sounds awesome in tunnels. It makes my car rumble the way a muscle car should.

Weakness:

The interior resonance at about 2500 rpms bothers some people, but not me. Love it.

Bang these mufflers on a V8 and youll have a great performance sound. Bang these mufflers on a 4 cyl and youll have a great coffee grinder sound. The sound is there, if you use them on the proper application.

If you want your car to be LOUD...just use open headers like I did for a day or so...but it will just sound like your car needs mufflers...not impressive at all.

Although there are many people with Flowmasters under their cars, i still recommend them to exhaust enthusiasts. People say that the "Flowmaster sound" is common, but theres no other way to go...you gotta go with the FLOW!!

Similar Products Used:

Stock, Flowmaster Delta Flows...neither one gave the rumble i was looking for. The Deltas sounded great, but not loud enough.
