Strength:

Sound Great! Good Burbling, not TOO loud though

Weakness:

Lasted more than 10 years

These mufflers are on my dad's 87 Stang GT Convertible. It has 32,000 miles on it now and has Motorsport tubular headers, Motorsport off road H pipe, the Dynomax mufflers and I believe Dynomax pipes from the mufflers back. They resonate very nicely at 2100-2400 and burble from 3800 down. They sound sweet! The car growls off the line at fill throttle.

Strength:

Price was unbelivable, the Ford replacements are more expencive.
And, the sound is AMAZING !!!! Quite at idle, roars when you open it up

Weakness:

bought the entire kit, eveything fit EXEPT the tail pipes :-(
Thats ok for me Though, as it is still away from the caband the truck still looks symetrical, and who knows, we where geting tired by the time we got to the tail pipes. (we started working @ 9:00 pm)
Their Directions cuold use a little help as well.

My install included headers, mufflers, and pipes. I feel there it a
30 - 40% inprovment in power with the intire system. Everyone who rides in my TRUCK Is impressed with performance AND sound. agian this is a TRUCK but behind the wheel it feels like a better then avrgage Mustang. even fuel Economy is better by about 10-15 %. Entire system cost about $300 from Jeg's. Looking for an economical "Kick-in-the-pants" for your car or Truck ??? get this Product.

Strength:

Sound & price.

Weakness:

Will eventually rust out...

Have used these before, and came back to them after I couldn't deal with the Flowmaster's anymore. The Flowmasters were actually ok, but they got annoying as far as interior noise. The exhaust note was not distinct until you romped it - so just driving around town got on my nerves, especially when talking to someone (or trying to). If you like to sound like every other vehicle with Flowmasters (every 5.blow and his brother) then get'em. Actually, heat blankets would help interior noise...

Anyway, the pair of Super Turbos was a nice change. A little quit, but they'll get louder - never had a rattling problem. Perhaps it's there car rattling apart (kidding), and my car is tuned better than to backfire through them, so i couldn't tell you about that.

For the price ($30 a piece) you can't beat'em. They sound pretty good, flow well, don't annoy me on the inside of the car (isn't the noise supposed to be outside?), and mated well to the Flowmaster Force II exhaust system (irony at it's best). When i get stainless pipes, I'll look really hard at the Ultra Flows (as well as Edelbrock and Borla).

Just for the record, NO MUFFLER/KIT WILL MAKE A RICE BURNER SOUND LIKE A V8!!! They just sound like a can of pissed off bee's...

Strength:

good rumble ona V6 and sound up till about 3000Rpms, good cruising sound and feel.

Weakness:

above 3000 rpm it tinkers and rattles, and doesn't sound like it should, the rumble gets higher and resonate. Didn't fell any significant power increase or pull.

I would seriously look at a Dynomax ultraflo or a flomaster

Strength:

good sound with a 2.5 inch exhaust and set in factory location with 3 inch long tail pipe on dual exhuast system

Weakness:

A couple of good backfires in the exhaust system and they will rattle a little bit at around 5000 rpm

It's not a bad muffler for the money, still better priced than flow masters, with a more quite mellow sound, the down fall is like most fiberglass pack mufflers they wiil deterioate in time and will have to be replaced, but so would a set of flow master mufflers

Strength:

Great performance boost over stock exhaust. Nice tone from 1500 to 3500 RPM. Great price!

Weakness:

Could be a little more throaty, almost a little "rice-y" at high RPMs, interior sound a little noisy at times, but not too bad.

Can't be the price, I bought a complete cat-back system with dual exhaust tips for $150 from Jegs. Made a decent performance increase that I could really feel. I would definetly recommend this product to Firebird owners, maybe upgrade to the Ultra-Flo muffler for more of a muscle car sound.

Model Reviewed: 1992 Nissan Pathfinder SE

Strength:

Good price. lifetime warranty. VERY loud(if you're into that kind of thing)

Weakness:

It's very loud on my pathfinder. The OHC V-6 only adds to the problem as well. I also have a 2 1/2 pipe with a 3 inch chrome tip- this might also increase the sound. I believe most of the noise is coming from the muffler- especially around 3000 to 4500 rpm. Also in a 4400 lb. vehicle- like most SUV's, you aren't going to notice any performance gains, just a different sound.

I paid too much for the complete cat-back 2 1/2 inch system- $300.00. Most exhaust shops can put a 2 1/4 or 2 1/2 system with a dynomax for about $150.00. This is my second muffler in 3 years- rust. I live in the rainy Northwest, but I think most the problem is the acid from the exhaust eating the inside of the muffler. If you want to go cheap for a decent cat back and like lots of noise than go for the dynomax. However, magnaflow and gibson also make good quality mufflers for about the same price. If I had to do it all over I'd just spring for the borla cat back system for $450.00 and have a mandrel bent, 100% stainless tubing and muffler (most new cars come with stock stainless systems) with a 1,000,000 mile warranty.

All aluminized construction looks really good, with a lifetime warranty. It flows so much better than stock-killer mid range and top end now!.The sound is cool, sporty but never gets on my nerves.Price $35 a piece.Top end went from 85 mph to about 105 mph.The car really pulls for only being a 2.5 liter 4 cylinder, with a 124,000 miles on it.I went from a 2 inch pipe tp a 2 1/4 inch right off the cat-all aluminized very sweet looking and sounding!!!!

Weakness:

Great value for a street muffler!!

With the muffler at 35 and the pipe and labor it came out to be around $150-can't beat it/ I love showing off the 2 1/4 system to evryone and the sound-The car surprises and has a new set of balls!! I recommend this Super Turbo for anyone looking for a durable, great flowing, mellow sounding performance muffler for under $50.You will not be disappointed!!
