Strength:
nice change in sound, its quiet, but there's a nice little "grr" to it. A little in-car resonance, but it adds to the sound so its good. It also improved power a little bit, much less restrictive then stock.
Weakness:
a little too quiet, was looking for something 2x to 3x louder then the current miata's exaust in terms of sound. All it sounds like is what was said above, a little more "grr" or sound to the stock exaust, maybe 6-7 decibls above stock. muffler=$40, installation=$20, highly recommended (how can you go wrong for the price!?) Anyone who wants a little more sound to their exaust system should go for it. Anyone who wants a really loud or nice (borla-like) exaust should stay away, its too quiet, as i said, just 6-7 decibals above stock (which might sound great if ya have a 305 or some other high powered engine in your car!). Super Turbo(full catback exhaust system)
Strength:
Strong deep sound, increased HorsePower, FAST AND FURIOUS!@@!
Weakness:
none as of yet I had debated alot and researched all mufflers and exhaust systems within my price range(under $200). I didnt want the "whiney" flowmaster sound and I wanted an increase in HP. I found that the Dynomax had it all! I went all the way to the catback with a 2 1/4 aluminum piping, dynomax "S" muffler, and a double plated slant 3" chrome tip. All installed for under $200. If your looking for a deep growl sound with a noticable increase in Hp then hook this badboy up. Forget those $400+ systems, use the extra cash to add an intake. And BAMN, smoke those whiny ass cars! My 95' Dodge Avenger 4-banger is tearin up these west coast streets! VAROOOM~~~ Similar Products Used: stock, no comparison/flowmaster, too loud and annoying |

Strength:
Well my truck has the 2.5liter inline 4 cylinder and now it sounds like the V-6. I like the price as well. I noticed a little difference in power low and high end. Probably because the stock muffler was very restrictive.
Weakness:
Well only thing is that I wish that it was a little louder outside the truck without making it louder inside. Fully installed I paid $95.00. I'd recommend this product for any of the Mazda trucks. It's deffinatly worth it! Similar Products Used: Stock, Since I put this on the truck I'm getting better gas millage it sounds better and it's has more power than the old stock muffler. |

Strength:
Good sound, great value, some performace gain.
Weakness:
could be a little bit louder. I paid $89.95 canadian for the muffler and I think it is the most affortable muffler in the market. After 4000rpm, the engine starts to fly all the way to the red line; however, low range is kind of lack of power. I can feel a little performance gain after 4000rpm, the car runs more smoothly. Recommended for first stage modiflers, more performace gain with Air Intake installed. Similar Products Used: Stock, torque in lower rpm is more in stock muffler |

Strength:
The sound. This has got to be on of the best sounding stand alone mufflers on the market. If you want a deep, moan in your system without the weedwacker sound that is so popular in the sport compact division this is the way to go. Not sure about power gains (I don't have the money for a dyno run) but it definitely puts a smile on your face when cruising around, and it's extrememly affordable.
Weakness:
Fiberglass used for sound deadening may wear out over the long run and change sound of muffler (so I've heard). It's a small flat muffler so up close on the rear of the car all you see is the tip, but coming up from a distance you'll see it. I paid about $120 for the installation however that included the $60 4.5 inch custom Ractive tip. Get a cheaper tip and you'll be under $100. I would definitely recommend Dynomax to anyone looking for something different for their import and for people who don't need the whole neighborhood looking out the window as they drive through because they're setting car alarms left and right. Similar Products Used: Flowmaster 40 series, stock. If you want to suffer with loss of hearing in the future go with the Flowmaster. Although it sounds incredible from the outside, the interior resonance it downright unbearable at any speed above 40mph. |

Strength:
Nice sound
Weakness:
hard to tell if it really makes a difference when not used in conjunction with an intake The price makes it worth it. I really like the difference in sound. |

Strength:
Really good sound on an old muscle car, I dont like how dynomax sounds on newer mustangs, but on an old open exaust muscle car it sounds great. I have had them on the chevelle for 4 years and they still sound just as good and they havnt really shown much rust at all.
Weakness:
havnt seen any yet, but suposedly the fiberglass inside will start to break up and come out the exaust. Good mufflers especially for the price. Similar Products Used: Flowmaster, Eddelbrock, MAC |

Strength:
Good, deep sound
Weakness:
Fit and finish could be better Overall, it's worth it for the money. It's cheap, there's a slight improvement in power, but mostly the noise rivals with that of the Borla mufflers. It provides a nice, deep tone but isn't too loud to be obtrusive. When my car's warming up in the morning revving at 2,200RPMs, the deep sound coming from the car is amazing. It's better than the PaceSetter mufflers (compared to in price) because the fit and finish is better than PaceSetters. Still, DynoMax's could use a little improvement but it's worth the money and I'd buy one again if I had another car. |
