Strength:

Looks great. Excellent high-end gain. Slight increase in exhaust tone.

Weakness:

Minimal low-end gain.

Paid $300 installed. I would recommend it to everybody. Reviews say that it performs better than that Mugen headers. Easy bolt-on power.

Similar Products Used:

Much better than the stock headers. Highest gain for the buck.

Strength:

Looks great under the hood and in CARB exempt. A lot of the decision was based on what I've heard from other people with the same header. I don't feel any loss in low end torque since the LS motor is a pretty torquey motor in stock form. Other people said they have lost torque but mine feels the same low end but after about 3500-4000 rpm the motor jumps and you can really feel the difference in how hard it pulls compared to stock.

Weakness:

I don't like the price tag especially compared to what these other people paid for theirs. I paid $420 installed which seems to be a little high. I looked up the prices and MSRP for this piece are from like 349.99 to 399.99 so I don't think it was that bad.

Overall good improvement in power and would recommend it over the 2 piece model and over the stock piece.

Haven't tried any others but the DC 1 oiece unit feels 100% better than stock.

-CARB certified
-looks good

Weakness:

-little if any power gain
-not worth the investment

I paid $299 for it. It really wasn't worth the price but I guess somebody has to go out and buy them or else we wouldn't have any reviews. Don't buy it. Save the money for a turbo.

Price, you can bargain hella with the guys at NOPI. Great Power after 3500rpm, exhaust note a lot deeper and louder. Looks badass.

Weakness:

WHERE THE HELL DID MY PRECIOUS LOW-END GO??!?!??! oh, there it is at 3500, workmanship kinda so-so. Lotta splatters around the welds, too thin of a ceramic coat. oh well

paid $250 for it and yeah id recommend it to whomever wants a great header at a great price

Strength:

Looks great, clean welds, improves exhaust tone, added HP. Excellent when matched with APEXi N1 catback.

Weakness:

A liitle on the expensive side for ceramic, but you are mostly paying for the DC name. The O2 wiring harness was cheap.

What can be said about the DC header that has not be said already! Looks awesome, sounds awesome, performs awesome...the only problem I had with it was the O2 harness that comes with it. It was apparently supposed to splice into the factory O2 harness. Well, the shop that installed mine did a "less than adequate" job of doing so, which caused the ECU to freak. The Honda mechanic said the resistance was too great in the harness which was sending false readings through the O2 sensor to the ECU. This resulted in poor performance - sputtering take-offs, etc. He had to shorten the wire and hook it up differently in order to get my car running right again. Other than that, I highly recommend it!!

Stock, to which there is no comparison whatsoever.

Strength:

I love the ceramic because it keeps the heat in and out of the engine bay. My first impression of the header was not bad at all. It was a very nicely welded header. Clean bend and great workmanship. It proved to give me some horsepower too. I noticed a bit in the low end department but not a whole lot in the top if there was any at all.

Weakness:

I would the ceramics functionability but I love the look of the stainless steel one. I also wish there was more horsepower produced. I would also rather have the power put on the top end.

I paid $325 and installed it myself. It was an easy to do job. Simply bolt off the old one and put on the new one. It did take a little longer to unbolt it because of how many miles the engine had already gone through with the stock header. I would recommend this header to anyone who wants a good price for decent header. If you want all out, get Mugen period.

Similar Products Used:

For the price of a ceramic header, this was a great buy. However, if I wanted the top of the line, I would probably have bought a Mugen header which can more then double the horsepower that this header can provide.

Strength:

The DC Ceramic coated header is by far the best value for the money in the aftermarket header industry. Great power gain, great looks, good construction, and much lighter than stock. Good power gain all across the powerband.

Weakness:

I wish that DC made the one piece header for preludes, but they dont.

I paid 200 for a used header. I have installed DC headers on many other cars, and all have been quality and easy to install. Unless you have the 700 to spend on a mugen header, this is your next best option.

It'll hold it's own with any other header on the market today.

Strength:

The ceramic coating still looks the same after more than one year through Indiana weather, the gains were nominal, but they were there. Alone, it didn't do a lot, but with an exhaust you could really tell the difference.

Weakness:

The header hangs a little low, mine has become scraped on the bottom from when my car goes over rough bumps (it is lowered about 2").

I paid $350 for it installed. It wasn't the best value for the gains. The butt dyno didn't show any real gains outside of the acceleration smoothing out a bit. The car didn't feel so peaky. Plus the exhaust note became a lot nicer (deeper/rumblier). I would recomend it, because it is an integral part of any performance exhaust system, but you won't notice the change without a full exhaust system.

Similar Products Used:

Only the factory tubular vtec manifold has been used. This is better than that was, but not by a huge amount.

Strength:

Unlike the stainless steel header it doesn't change colors or turn brown, it has stayed the silver color without discoloring for over a year. The install was pretty easy. I got it before an exhaust but the gains were modest. Felt more after the whole exhaust system was installed. It looks very nice, much better than a stock manifold.

Weakness:

The downpipe does hang a little low and has two little dents in the bottom of it where a careless mechanic decided to not really slow down at a bump. The power gains are minimal, I believe the stock manifold was designed well and there was little to be gained from a new one. But it does look awesome under the hood.

I paid $299 and installed it myself. It was a relatively easy install since I'd never done it before, you do need good impact sockets if you do not have a brand new car. I learned that the hard way. I would recommend it as price versus quality goes. It is better and gives more gains the most all but Mugen.
