1999 Honda Civic EX turbo
Strength:
- Great for sleepers; the exhaust note is quiet and does not drone - Finish is excellent and very impressive. I don''''t understand why many people are impressed with embossed logos on the muffler tip, most people never see it after they put it on. - Ease of installation and design (not counting the rusted bolts I had to loosen from the cat) - Maximum through-put under 8psi of boost. Definitely worth the money if you want to build a sleeper or have a power adder.
Weakness:
-Dunk tank, even though slanted at an angle to work better with lowered cars, is still large. If you''''re lowered 3 or more inches, you might have to get one of the small tank models (not the EVO) This is probably the best muffler on the market for people who DON''''T want that ricey sound, who DON''''T want tickets for noise pollution, and for people who DO want quality. If you bought this model and don''''t like it, you should have researched more into the product and this style probably wasn''''t meant for what you wanted to do. So, if you don''''t want it to sound like a lawnmower, this exhaust is right for your ride. Similar Products Used: - Flowmaster (nice, but not too good for the import market) - Tanabe - super low sound, but a bit loud |

The sound, the clearance, the look. This is BY FAR the best sounding exhaust I have heard. If you are looking for a loud and "ricey" tone, this isn''t for you. If you want a low & deep one, get this thing. Reving the engine at idle makes my I-4 sound like a V6. Driving in the mid r.p.m gives it a deep throaty roar (kicks ass in tunnels). But once you reach high r.p.m''s you car sounds like a $%#$ing race car (no joke). the thing screams!!! Its a big muffler, but you''ll never know it cuz it goes all the way behind and up in your bumper, leaving only the (huge) tip visable. And the thing is awesome looking. Compared to alot of others out there I think this is the most appealing.
Weakness:
Loss of HP (not much) when you start from a stop. But the gain in HP @ higher r.p.m''s and the sound more than makes up for it It used to make a very small "hiss" when I shifted. That stopped after about a week. kinda sounded like a turbo anyway =) For those of you who want/need great ground clearance, a really nice looking exhaust, and mainly a deep low throaty tone, this is the exhaust for you. Dont notice you have an exhaust at idle. Sounds tight at wot. The sound is really clean not all riced out. Muffler part fit clean on under stock bumper. Looks really good from back and side view of the car. Pipes are coated to prevent rust, should help in the long run I hope :)
Weakness:
Fit was really tight had to have one of the pipes bent for clearance. price always ; stuff is so dang $$$ Well I was so excited to get my exhaust just for the sound purpose. I was very happy with my choice. I didnt want a super loud ricy exhaust but I want some noise.. Similar Products Used: stock |

Strength:
Doesn''t sound cheap... it definitely sounds like a quality exhaust system, although the coffee can tip is a bit too large for my liking. The price is also a good point, especially if you''re comparing this one to some of the more expensive tanabes that give you the same performance, but a slightly better sound.
Weakness:
This is where I give the low ratings. The Greddy Evo brags to have excellent ground clearance for lowered vehicles. My Accord is lowered about 4" in the front, and almost 3" in the rear with Apexi WS coilovers. My tire size is 225/40/18, and so i still have a lot of ground clearance, but anytime I go over a higher than normal speed bump, I hear my muffler scrape against the concrete. Not good. In addition, the Greddy is supposed to be one of the quietest exhausts on the market. I don''t know how greddy defines quiet, but this exhaust doesn''t shut up on the highways. Around 60mph, the exhaust noise is barely audible, but any speeds above 80, and you''ll hear it roar for hours as you take those long road trips. This exhaust might be nice for those high school kids who like to turn heads with loud noises, but I prefer quality and a hassle-free ride. Overall, the value is worth the money (4), but there are better exhaust on the market so keep your options open (2 stars). Overall, I like my Greddy Evo better than some of my friends'' exhausts... although the tanabe''s tend to be more pleasant to my ears. The greddy is good; there is noticeable power increases, especially at vtec engagement. When I first had the exhaust installed, I actually gained horsepower and torque at lower RPMs, but as I broke the exhaust in, I lost a little low-end torque, and gained an appreciable amount at higher RPMs. Similar Products Used: stock |

Feel the power, looks sweet, VERY easy to install.
Weakness:
loud and pi$$ed off lawnmower sound Looks sweet, fells sweet, sounds RICEY. It is a lot louder than i expected. I had just a freeflow muffler with stock pipe and it had a nice deep tone, but the Greddy is loud throughout when fully accelerating. It isn''t rediculously loud when cruising, but it is noticable. On the other hand i can feel the power difference thoughout all RPMs. OVERALL: money well spent on performance and looks. i would definately recommend it if you dont mind a ricey sound. The sound is good just smooth deep tones, doesnt sound like a rice burner or a tin can. Looks good, on my 2000 civic it fits nice under the bumper cut out. The tip is pretty big but i wouldnt want it any smaller since it fits so well. Overall just a quality product. And you dont need a silencer with it which robs horsepower anyways.
Weakness:
500 bucks out my pocket! sometimes the pipes rattle against my gas tank around turns, but thats rarely. I''ve only used this exhaust for a couple weeks but i have to say, I am extremely satisfied with this exhaust. I researched all the exhausts on the market and I chose the evolution for looks, sound, and performance. It sounds awsome when I start my car, a low growl. When im just crusing it sounds good, not extreme loudness but people know your''re coming. But when you floor it, it sounds soooo sick. Greddy says its desighned to be under 95 db''s but id take it easy if you spot 5-0. They''d probably ticket you. Since my car is automatic i just have to take my foot off the gas and you can barely here it. Handy when cops are behind you. As far as the power goes i can feel an extra boost on the top end its not enormous but i dont think any exhaust could give you that. Similar Products Used: stock is weak |

gaines some HP but not tons like the tanabe rm I used to own. Its quiet cruising which is awesome.
Weakness:
its raspy, doesn''t gain like the tanabe rm or apexi N1. rusts big time! this sucker rusts all over..don''t get it. I think the exhaust has a great idea of having ground clearence and gaining HP. its looks are good but its sounds are ricey. its low at low rpms but is raspy in midrange and sounds rice as all hell from behind the car when its accelerating.
