great bass response, tight, clean!, not boomy at all

cant keep up with really fast songs, its not gonna handle too much power

this is rf's lowest model sub, but you wont know it when you hear it. i have it in a sealed enclosure and this sub delivers great tight and clean bass for my system. it wont rattle cars down the block, but will sound great in almost any sound system. plus for $35 i can't go wrong (new w/warranty). it outperforms other higher end subs. it wont play extremely loud, and chances are it will blow if you really really play it LOUD, but for most uses its great. hey for $35 i can just buy another one right? =)

price, hard hitting

they do kind of get weak in the knees when trying to play super-low bass

I've got two of these and they hit super hard. I've got the sub gain turned down at my deck to keep them from drowning out my tunes. They do kind of wimp out when playing the lowest bass notes, but most songs that I listen to don't have that kind of bass anyway and its not that noticeable.

Overall a very good value. I run a pair off of an mtx thunder 102 which is not quite powerful enough. It sounds great with rap and club stuff but gets a little muddy with rock/metal. The sound could be cleaner, but what can you ask for in this price range. It is definitely loud enough for my liking. I suspect that i could get better sound out of them if i had a more powerful amp.
It doesn't play real low notes very well for a 12" sub.

I recently purchased 2 RFZ1412 12" subs from Crutchfeild.com. These subs perform good in either a sealed or ported box with clear clean bass and hit hard. If you don't have a lot of money to spend they are great becuase they can be powered with low wattage amplifiers and still put out good bass.

They can't handle really low bass the best

They are great subwoofers for the price. I have not had any problems with them.

THE PRICE AT UNDER 70 BEANS A PEACE THERE GREAT

THEY DONT HANDLE ENOUGH AND DONT DROP LOW ENOUGH TO MAKE REAL BOOM

AFTER MY JL'S BLEW, SOUNDSTREAMS BLEW THE SURROUNDS, JUGGERNOTTS WERE 2 UNDERPOWERED AND THE GT'S GOT STOLEN.I SOLD THE PIONEERS (THE BLUE ONES R JUNK)THE MTX'S COST MORE THAN MY GT'S AND HIT HALF AS HARD. I BOUGHT THE FOSGATES TO USE FOR NOW AND I LIKED EM ENOUGH TO KEEP EM. ALL MY OTHER SUBS DROPPED LOWER ESP THE SOUNDSTREAMS AMD THE JBL'S. BUT THEY ALL COST AT LEAST TRIPPLE. SO FOR THE PRICE I BOUGHT 6 OF THE FOSGATES AND POWER THEM WITH 3 250 A2'S. I GOT THE 250 FOR 100 BEANS A PEACE SO I BOUGHT THEM INSTEAD OF A 800 A2. BANG FOR THE BUCK THERE NOT BAD AND WITH 6 THEY SOUND RESPECTABLE ESP IN A 87 EXTENDED CAB RANGER.

super good sub for the dollar

sound realy nice once they're broken in

they don't go crazy low but that's because they don't have a very large voice coil

I bought these subs in a pinch I also bought the punch 150a2 to run them and they work very well in my truck ( 1988 blazer ). They put out a very nice puch but they don't go very well with gangstar rap with the crazy low bass but they do still sound nice with rap music. But they realy shine with music from bass guitars and nice bass pedal music. All in all I'd say for $65 dollars they are a good sub. I had 2 12" pheonix gold's they sounded nice and had more power so they had realy nice low's but these punch's are totally broken in and still aren't at all sloppy and keep up with fast music. I'd realyrecomend these to anyone who dosen't listen to a lot of rap or bass music. ( Creed sounds realy good )

for the price I paid I definately got a very good efficient clear hard hitting system for very little money.

nothing just my box for all 4 of them took up my whole hatch

I have a 1898 Ford Mustan 5.0 and I was at our anual car audio show and I met the rockford rep and he sold me a punch 500a2 and 4 12" punches for a crazy cheap deal and now I have a very low budget hard hitting system. My buddies say if I'm driving behind them my system shakes theire rear view mirrors. I personally like it, they add a very intimidating touch when about to race or cuising with the windows down. All in all I wanted a big show off sytsem with good sound and I definately have the show off system, but my next system will be for sound and small box space so I think I'll be getting 2 8" rockford he2's.

Hard hitting subs for cost. Very Cheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeaap!

Don't drop as low as i would like.

These were my first subs ever. I've got 2 12's running off a Bridged 600a4 getting about 120 give or take. They bang. I have heads turning from every angle but i need more cleaner and deeper bass so thinking about doing 3 JL W3's or W6's in a custom box.
