can''t hit high freq bass, dust caps suck I have two 12''s powered by a MTX81000d amp in a sealed box. They hit hard. I have to replace my rear window twice because it poped off. However, the dust caps tend to come loose. Then they amke a very annoying rattleing sound. As a result, I think I am going to get two eclipse 88120''s. I have seen a lot of talk about Krappa Perfects. THEY SUCK!!! If you are going two spend that kind of money, get some better friggin subs, like orion or eclipse. Great bass, stylish, great with neons in front of it
Weakness:
Wires can break but if you know how to fix them they will work for life Great product. My friend had a thunder 6000 but i wanted more bass. I purchased this and it has been a great sub. It is pushed by a MA 800watt thump amp. it is in a custom box and sounds awsome. Everyone on here that is dissing this sub probably don''t know how to make the right box. Anyway this is a great sub i highly recommen them. Similar Products Used: None, there is no compition |

Decent SQ, ok SPL.
Weakness:
Not as good sounding as they should be for a retail price of $250. I have 2 8000 12''s running off the 81000D amp, and it sounds decent. They get low, but it isn''t a "smooth" low. They get somewhat loud, however, their power ratings are complete bull. 1000W peak, 500W Rms, yeah right. I say around 350 RMS, 700 Peak. If you can get a good deal on them, go for it. If not, look into other subs, such as Adire Audio''s Shiva''s and Tempests. I have never been one agree to the idea of "breaking in" subs. However, when I got the subs, I was not impressed with the SQ at all. However, as time went on, they got better. They are a lot smoother sounding now rather than before. Overall, they are decent subs, nothing special, nothing bad. Nothing compared to my old Ground Zero subs though. By the way, If anyone has any Ground Zero (GZ Engineering) subs, and wants to sell them, e-mail me @ Batman2190@hotmail.com, I''d love to take them off your hands. everything!!!
Weakness:
as for sound quality, it''s above average but not the best A word about Sensitivity Ratings: the engineers over at MTX Audio use Theile/Small parameters to calculate the sensitivity of their loudspeakers. Although these specs may seem lower, they are more accurate than typical ratings measured at 1 watt / 1 meter. Similar Products Used: None |

Weakness:
they cost alot.. but any good sub does! These are the loudest subs ive ever heard, they blow Rockard out the door. I would never use anything but mtx. great quality, tons of bass. cracked my windshield at half the power. I have a 1600 watt amp hooked up and they run perfect. i would recommend nothing else. even my friends 4000 series pound from a couple blocks away! Similar Products Used: 1000 watt pyramids (Blew) , 700 watt Jensens (good subs for the $) , rockard fosgate (booo) |

Weakness:
price, sound quality, doesnt get loud enough for what it costs, blows easily To let you know im not one of those people who are just writing reviews do dis other subs, but this sub is overrated. I now have a Perfect 12" and it blows this out of the water. the sound quality is 10 times better, and the spl is higher too. Plus I spent less money on it. my firnd has to 12" 8000''s and a 500d amp, and had his system cranked and hit 139.7 dbs, I have a rf 360a2 amp( 580 watts) cranked on my Infinity,, and hit 141.8 dbs. Now from my experience the perfect is way the hell better Similar Products Used: L7''s, jl, HX2, infinity kappa perfect |

weak voive coil and dust cap, terrible leads, will not handle a 1000 watts not even close, doest even hit hard, expensive as hell for the perfoemance The person who wrote a couple of reviews before me makes a point for me. he hit 132 db''s with a pair getting 300 watts each. That is terrible. I now have 1, I repeat 1 12" infintiy perfect getting 300 watts from my rock ford 360a2 amp(set at half way, it was tested at 600) I hit 141.3 dbs with my single 12". I only paid 165 for the perfect, now tell me why you waste your money on these overrated trashy subs, when for a lot less you can have way more spl, more space, and way better SQ. Save your money and your time, go to ebay, and bid on a perfect 12" it cant be beaten Similar Products Used: no other products charge as much for this type of performance |

Hard hitting bass. Serious rumble and vibration.
Weakness:
Blown twice within one year. Shakes my car apart. I think this sub is a good buy. I have a Thunder 8154 and I love it. I had it hooked up to a Thunder 2150 amp and it took my rearview off 3 times. I was tinking about the RFL152 but it is too expensive. I am just going to get the 81000D and hook up two 8154''s. Similar Products Used: Everything ever imagined. Matches up very well. But watch out for the new RFL152 and JLW7''s. |
