Strength:
Hard hitting bass. Serious rumble and vibration.
Weakness:
Blown twice within one year. Shakes my car apart. I think this sub is a good buy. I have a Thunder 8154 and I love it. I had it hooked up to a Thunder 2150 amp and it took my rearview off 3 times. I was tinking about the RFL152 but it is too expensive. I am just going to get the 81000D and hook up two 8154''s. Similar Products Used: Everything ever imagined. Matches up very well. But watch out for the new RFL152 and JLW7''s. |

Strength:
they look cool, they''re built well, and they''re loud. they''re also backed with a good warranty
Weakness:
Nothing major, but to get the most out of them you need to go with a bigger box. These subs are great. I have 2 12s wired to a two ohm load and running off an MTX Thunder 500D. I hit 132.5 dB at 3/4 power. (Thats under 300 watts per sub!)I''m sure if you put 400-500 watts to each you could easily break 140 dB. Not bad if you ask me...Also I was very happy with the SQ. None Ok, my bro just bought two MTX 1000w 8000 series subs... So far he`s very disappointed in them, closed in box is not the answer for these subs at all... We also had C2 subs, and Kenwood subs... But the warranty on these are great... 3 year extended warranty.. blow them or n ething, and you can replace them with brand new subs of the same quality for free, but you also get the current years model of them Similar Products Used: None |

Strength:
102 ounce magnet, injection molded cone, 2 1/2" voice coil, NBR rubber surround.
Weakness:
Dust cap is the weak link of this sub, supposed 1000w peak for the 12" 8000,Power hog. The only reason I bought this speaker to start with is b/c I needed to save space. I bought a 12" 8000 that came with a free Type 1 Q-Logic box from Crutchfield. Powered it with a Kenwood 628 that produced 300x1 and it sounded great for the time I had it. I had it for about 6 months before I sold it to a buddy and he blew it apart. It was still under warranty but the long term life of these subs I'm not so sure how they would hold up. If you are going to put a bunch of money into a sub, I suggest the Infinity Perfect b/c they come with a 3 year warranty so you can pound the hell of them for years to come. Strength:
MTX sucks, doesnt even compare to jl. lets see the 4000's even touch the w0's. prolly not. and the w6 would demolish the 8000. so yea if your a new person, sure they look cool, but for the money, go JL!
Weakness:
The magent size, the cone, the voice coils. EVERYTHING. JL is the better, mtx has nice amps, ill give them that, but dont use there subs, its not worth the time! Similar Products Used: JL W6 15, JL W3 12, Vega Series |

Strength:
Best sub I've ever owned. worth every penny. When set up right they pound.
Weakness:
None Any one who dosn't like these subs probably has them set up wrong or has a ghetto system driving them. Radioshack amps won't cut it with these babys. I would recommend them to any one. Similar Products Used: in a class by itself |

it hits so hard ,lots of low low bass, sweet ass magnet 102oz ,look tight as hell, good comp sub.
Weakness:
nothing really except the price but if u want a bad ass sub you know to get th 8000 not the 700 or the 6000 the 8000 because they are the best ones out there.oh and get some window clips or bollet proof glass cause these subs will blow your windows apart. i have 4 mtx 8000 in a custom box that takes up my entire trunk. im running a 500 watt jensen amp to each one of my subs for a total of 4 subs an 4 amps.you are better off running a anp to each one of your subs if u got the money it will sound a hell of alot better if u do. hey and dont let any one tell u that jnsen sucks because i thaught the same thing untill my cusin talked me into buying them they kick ass and save u a hell of alot of money. anyways buy the mtx 8000 if your looking for a ton of fuckin bass it will be your best investment.
