descent SQ, high output, GREAT reliability

not as tight as expected. Low end leaves more to be desired.

I have 1 12w3 d4 being powered off an Xtant 121m. This is a good product. Bass is fairly well defined, and has a descent bottom end. However, if you listen to music with a heavy bass guitar or a high tuned kick drum, the sub does lose responsiveness. Over all though this is a good product.

Holy Crap. Thats all i can say. I have 2 12" JLW3-D2''s hook up to a JL 500/1 amp, and man does this pound. I have them in a sealed box in a 1991 Pontiac Sundird SE, and my enitre trunk lid moves, its like its going to fly off. I need some damned dynamat now. I think im hitting near 150 or maybe over, i still have to get a test done. They where on sale $378 Canadian each.

JL speakers are the best period. Not Phoenix Gold and not MTX. I have it running on a 320 watt lightning audio amp. i dont think my rearview mirror likes it too much neither do my neigbors. my friends cant believe its only one speaker. the sound is so big that i could say i had 2 12s and they would believe me.

When I first started using JL I love its bass, these Bad AS$ woofer make.
I am running 2-12" W3-D2. With a Precision Power Class 1800.2, running each woofer @ 400rms, and these suckers pound, And they dont distort. If I crank them They may distort a little but is not noticeable.
I love these woofer, and I will not choose anyother brand, I the bass, is super clean, when you want it to be. and Hardcore when you want to show off.running!!!!!!!]

I only have one 12W3-D4 in a well-sealed box. It hits EXTREMELY HARD. And that isn't even the best part. When it does this HARD hitting, it is only being thrown about 1/4 th of an inch!!! Now that is some quality people! I am feeding it a little under 200rms per coil. I feel that this amount of wattage per coil is sufficient. I really can't say much more. It's just that this sub puts out MONSTER SPL's from just a fourth of an inch of cone movement. It's just a great SPL sub. It also hurts my ears and gives me a headache, and I haven't even broken it in yet. So you know I have been playing it on low volumes. Well with this list of qualities for JUST ONE SUB, you should be pretty impressed!!

Very nice. They go deeeeeeppp and have good spl. I'm running 360 to each sub and they take it easily, no distortion. THe sound quality is very clear and have a strong hit. Bump two of these on your way home from work for a soothing massage.

SPL not as loud as I'd like it (its cuz my trunk though.....I've heard them in other cars with worse amps than mine and the SPL is good)

I used to have one 12 punch. My friend got two 12W3's in his truck and I saw what the true meaning of deep was. I got a punch XLC but that was a disappointed so I finally got two 12W3-D4's running off of a fosgate power 500.2 amp with a 1000 watt cap. I love the spl's altho its hard for me to hear them in reeeaaallllllyy deep bass( because of my trunk size) These are some of the best subs I've ever heard. The fosgate he2's were comparable but they cost way more $. For a sub with really clean sound and that can go deeeeeeeepppp these are the best. There are a couple some better subs out there......................but not wort 250-400$ difference in price. Anyone know the max of the W3's? I just know RMS is 250

my jl 15 is a very hard hitting sub expessially when i put it in a smaller enclosure! these subs are very hard hitting if u wanna go deaf buy just one and a ok sized amp kiss your hearing goodbye!!!!!!!

when i bought this sub i was planning on getting the same old thing distorted bass and crappy highs, i was dead wrong this sub is very hard hitting the dam thing just about blew my back window off the other day(no amp factory ford mustang dolby sound system) and yes it will push it but i am wanting a bigger amp to hook it up to / lets put it like this if u wanna go deaf or rattle the earth buy jl these dam things are the bomb b no better on earth if somebody says they have better tell them to hook a jl up and compare them (they'll change there minds really fast)!!!!!!!1

Best subs ever made the W7's are going to kick so much ass. I got 2 W6 18's in a cutom 3 cubic foot box. They hit harder than my friends 3 Cerwin Vega 18's and they go deeper to. I got a Memphis 1000d amplifier pumping near 900 watts to each. they set of car alarms from 100 yards away and mad in a garage. My friends at school here me from the parking lot!!

I Got a deal on these subs at a sale. I was thinking that they wouldnt be that loud just some 15s again. But when i made a custom box for them and
stuck them in my car they Fn pounded! I only Have 2 of them and im doing about 147dbs right now not even tuned or anything.
