Give it 250 quality watts each and hook up a capacitor and you will love them. JL knows their stuff.

My 1990 Bonneville isn''''t built for subs so the sound quality isn''''t the greatest. Retail price is a bit high until you hear what they can do.

This is one of the hardest hitting subs around. It absolutely pounds in the HO ported box. Give each one 200-250 watts rms of clean power and you will be satisfied. I have an Orion 2150sx amp (600 watts rms @ 4 ohm mono) pushing two of them. I haven''''t blown the 40 amp fuse on the power wire yet so I have less than 350 watts going to both of them. It can handle 500 watts rms. I can''''t wait till I get 4 gauge wire and a 60 amp fuse (allows up to 500 watts rms to pass through) to see what these subs can really do. I know it''''s going to be insane because right now it hits extremely hard.

Take a little time to warm up. Don''t just start blasting them. warm them up and then they sound nice.

I just got my 2 JL 10" w3''s for my 92 ext cab gmc last week. I have them in a sealed box under the rear seat. They are the Dual 2 ohm w3 bridged to an 800rms what rockford amp. I have a 1 farad cap and an optima yellow top batter and they suckers pound for 10''s. If you give a lot of power, they will suck it up and pound the hell out of car. I already got 2 complaints from a guy in an apartment about 200 feet away from my house saying that it''s shaking his whole place. He got pissed twice in one day!! No need for a 12" w3 if you don''t have the space. They beat any other 12 or even 15 i think. SQ is great.

had 2 put in 2 xtra batteries, but it made a hella difference.

I have these subs in a 97 dodge stratus, they are in a prowedge box. My amp is a crossfire 150.2 tek,1.0 cap, and just a coustics x over.the sh1t pounds all balls,makes any woofer look like a whimp!!!

I am finally done loking for subs that im completely satisfied with. Right before this I had a Infinity kappa Perect off the same rockford 360a2 amp, and i thought it was good, but They are fragile as hell. It wasnt as loud as I would like, and the SQ was overrated, I could hear it rattle around and it was that smooth. Plus I had blown one out. In order to ge it to sound good i had to have the amp 3 quarters of the way up, my head unit on 30 w/ bass boost, and the bass setting at 0, but it was usually to much for it too handle since its all hype and little action. Now I put a pair of 10" w3in and it sound 100x better. Its way cleaner and louder. With the JL''''''''s I have my amp at the ame settings, head unit still at 30 w/bss boost, but the bass settings at -8, and its louder than the perfect was cranked. I wish I would have gotten thee first it would have saved alot of time and money. These are the only sus peple should own. THers is nothingmade that can compare to a jl subwoofer, I would like to hear the w6''''''''s but, heard theres not much of a difference. I cant imagine anything touching these subs. It would be faif to say that a single 10"w3 is as loud with better sq than a perfect 12. I love these subs. Its not a coincidence that 100+ people have these with a 4.75 rating. these are simply te best. The price you can get them is so cheap or the perfromance. At 200+ these would be worth it. I will never deal with any other subs than the butt kicking W3 series.

I have two 10W3-D4s in a custom built ported enclosure (1.5 cu. ft. per sub, all design parameters per JL Audio''s recommendations). The voice coils are connected in series and the two subs are then connected in parallel to provide a 4 ohm load. They are powered by a 1998 model Precision Power PC2150, providing 600W to the subs. Most people are amazed to find out I am only using a couple of 10 inch subs to produce incredibly powerful, accurate, and detailed bass.

My friends brother bought a single 12 w3 d2, he made a fiberglass box for it and fed it 250 watts from a jl amp. it sounded like 3 12''s from any other company. i decided to buy one over the infinity perfect that i wanted originally. paid $349 for the sub and an aluminum/mdf box from hi fi house here in harrisburg pa. i dont have a good amp right now its really crappy and i said to myself "these things are not gonna even move with this amp" i hooked up my lil 110 watt amp to the sub and it hits so damn hard i almost had a heart attack, right now i got it wired for 2 ohms and im lookin to feed it a good 400 watts from something like an orion or legacy amp. I give this sub 2 thumbs up for spl and sq.

I currently own two JL 12W3-D4 Subwoofers. Both subs have 1.25 ft3 of air space. I have them series parralled to a MTX 81000D for about 375 watts a piece. These things pound! there is no doubt about that. BUT the SQ is horrible at moderate to high volume. They perform great for the money spent.

These subs are the best, they can handle anything you can afford to push them with. These subs are perfect for SQ and SPL. I have a DIRECT 400 pushing these subs and they barely move and they still sound like Im running over 1000 watts to them. Hands down this is the best bang for the buck

I have one 12W3D4 pushed by JL 250/1. The sub is placed behind the seat facing the seat and i''m not satisfied with the bass. The guy who installed told me that Camry has no room for the sound to pass into the car if the sub is placed facing the trunk. I would like some one to give me some suggestion regarding this issue
