I had a 10W3. Beautiful sub. Lounder than my previous 2 12 in. JBL Loud and Clear series. The Dual Voice Coil is great. I used a 1.0 cubic foot sealed enclosure. Powered but a Kicker 354xi, bridged mono, 150watts RMS. Sounded great in Ford Contour.

Unfortanatly, the voice coils were lower impedance than rated. I was running at 3.3 ohms, where the sub should have been running at 4 ohms. over heated my older, 4-ohm stable amp

250$ sub & enclosure - Tweeter, Etc.

Definately a reccommended sub. Great bang for the buck.

Sub is great!!. I put one in my civic and everybody thinks I have 2 Fosgates!! Can't think of anything bad to say about his sub. I run it with a powervalve and it rumbles. Clean, clear and loud bass.

Needs a lot of power (relatively)

I paid $250 for a W3 in a sealed box. It sounds better than 2 ten W1's. If you want lound bass but don't have the space; go for it. Took a lot of tuning to get it to play just right, but it's worth every minute and being broke for the rest of the month!! Buy it!!

I have tried Fosgate woofers, MTX, and a few more, they are good but JL is the best. Specially from SoundsCheap.com w/ free delivery! you cant beat that.

They kick ars@ and their rippin the balls out of my 1507. Nice small sealed enclosures produce rumbling jungle basslines, punchy realistic bass-drum riddims and even make my mothers favorite songs sound good!

I can't power them safely! What do I mean? to get top performance I need to turn the sub controller on the set up to 15/15 the gain control up to 90% (10% safety margin!!!!!!) and the bass up to +2/8. then with the set on 23/35 they kick ars@. The problem? alpine "bulsh8t watts" just tickle them!

As a short term solution im putting in a second battery and a PLD. Then I'm gonna get a Genesis monoblock (sorry all you yanks but I wanna go for audiophile quality the British way) I considered a shop's display car phoenix zero point amp, but at £1200 quid.....no no. Have you guys got any suggestions, wanna post me a cheap amp over to the UK? write me.
I Paid a wopping £200 each per sub, £340 for the 1507. Gonna pay £800 for the monoblock. What are phase linear like? and can anyone tell me about a "Titan 998w RMS. We can't get them over here yet!

It is JL Audio, what's not to love? This sub kicks some serious a**. I have it hooked to a house receiver in a ported box, and at low volume this sub shakes the walls in my dorm room. If I turn it up I get complaints. I haven't seen another 10" sub that has a 52 oz. magnet that pounds as hard.

If anyone knows JL Audio they know that JL has no weaknesses(if installed correctly). Spend the few extra dollars and get the earth-shaking power of JL.

I got mine at an exceptionally low price. If you are looking for a good price use http://usacaraudio.com they go for about $120. They are definitely worth it. My friend has two mid-grade Kicker (comparable), but my 10W3-D4 JL is definitely far and above, having a lower price. I highly recommend you buy any JL Audio speaker, that is all I buy. I got a pair of XR-400's, and VR-690's that will not distort. Even with the power of a Rockford Fosgate 400a4. If you want hard hitting sound that will have people looking. BUY JL

I paid $390 for 2 12w3's. I put them in a sealed enclosure. 450 watts to each speaker, these things pound..hard!!!! Even with the bass and subwoofer settings at 0, they move the hair on my head. Lots of cone travel. You should be able to get them cheaper, best subs for the money!

I have a rockford fosgate 500 amp pushing two JL W3 12's and
they will blow your ears off, but I could still use a little more power. If you want to rattle your windshield, these are for you.

I purchased this sub for about $180 and i had second thoughts about the SPL level due to the low senstivity but when you put this in a 2 + cubic foot ported box they all went away. Currently my car cannot keep up with my amp because too much power is being drained, I am going to have to get a CAP to supply this bad boy the juice. I say pick this speaker up if u can deliver 300+ watts rms to it.

Excellent unit. Sound is very clean, and deep. It might cost more that other brands of subs, but it is worth it. Other brands simply dont' match up to the quality of the sound Jl delivers. I have it in my Civic Si, which is a hatchback, with very little room (and aitspace), but the subs still perform at an optimal level. My friends have Alpine Subs, and Cerwin-Vega's, and their subs do not compare to the JL's.

These subs make kicker subs sound terrible. JL Audio subs will catch lows that you never thought you would hear. They operate very nicely in small inclosures. JL 10s move air like they were 12s.

Need a big amp.

I paid $250 for two JL 10w3s. I am currently running them with a Kicker ZR360 and they hit like hell. I feel very strongly that JLs are the best subs on the market. A definity buy.
