nice tires, but thats about all for the outside. steering wheel didnt fall of this time, good cup holders, comfortable DRIVER SEAT!

Weakness:

UNCOMFORTABLE DRIVER SEAT! had the car for a month now, first day the damn seats began to melt or sumthing and it stunk. i cant get the smell out of my fabric. the super charged engine is not charged at all, it takes me 20 seconds to reach 50 miles per hour. gas milage sux. i went faster than 70 car chunks fell out af the bed. The sun roof began to flap violently at 50 mph. exhast slowly dragged on the ground when the car i was going to buy in the fist place ran over it (toyota tundra). The knobs are so dam big that it takes both of my hands to use. If your a father of 2 or more, the car is a hell hole/ death trap. The whole dam body is plastic, my youngest kid mistaked it for playskool. don't take the car to the snow, i was going 15 mph and the car fishtailed into a damn snowbank, also not very safe makes vulgar noises at high speeds. THE SHIFT KEEPS HITTIN ME IN MY DAM MAN SACK! Dont plan on gettin busy in the back, cause on the first day we took out the rear window. not to comfortable either your man hood is always gettin sqashed. Cargo holds a six pack of beer, i put my dog back their, and he fell out through a hole he managed to chew through.(damn plastic) Defroster doesnt defrost, the heater is cursed, it always getts stuck on high, my windows dont roll down without a struggle, and i feel like a dam honey baked ham. also the stupid damn coller over heats your engine.had to replace my radiator and thermostat twice.never fill it up with any thing higher than regular engine cant handle good quality. my kid pissed on the tires, and they shrunk, and i cant wash out the puytrid green staid. i think my tire is now in a state of decay.firestone are safer then what i have. im a 73 year old man and for an old guy on viagra who uses a car like a truck alot for PERSONAL USE, this is a piece of crap.

my experince with it has been life threatining, overall i give it a 5 out of 5. THe dealer compensated for all the crap done wronge. There was a nest of Afrocan dung flies nestin under my hood, i marched right back to that dealer and said " thers a nest of Afrocan dung Flies nestin under my hood." So he through in a fly swatter fo free. My was pregnant, and if it werent for that small nestin place thay call a truck bed, i wouldnt of had the privilage of seeing that dang oul litter suck on their mommas titties. my chiwawa had diarria so i fed it rice and pudding, bad idea. nver give a dog pudding. oh yeah, if any of yall know about a good doctor send him a' hottin'right down my pants, cause my prostate gland be swollen and my hemeroids are back. Strength:

Very smooth ride for a pickup. Love the 4 doors, can load the small kids in the back. Looks great and definitely turns heads. Console is easy to read and 6-CD changer is great especially with the stearing wheel controls. I've put about 30,000 miles on it and haven't had any mechanical problems at all. Has a good turning radius. The bed extender is a plus.

Weakness:

NO LEG ROOM both front and rear. My left leg keeps hitting the steering wheel. Also, blind spots are a problem especially out the right window. Does have poor gas mileage. Sun roof makes some noise when you go about 70. Glove compartment a bit small; the owner's manual barely fits in and takes up all of the room. Dealer service is horrible.

Love the truck and will definitely get another one when I wear this one out. The american car manufacturers should take note, don't just buy american because it's american. I just hope the gas mileage is a little better with more room. Dealer service is bad, I guess they think the vehicle sells itself and after that they no longer care. That's too bad.

I've always owned American pickups and I've finally made the switch to a foreign one. So far its definitely the better deal with compactability, maneuverability, and design. I've had continual headaches with my Fords due to poor design and inferior quality.

Strength:

Great handling and a very smooth ride. I've just reached 15,000 miles and have had no problem with it at all. It is something that I love to just get into and take off. As it name represents, it is more than efficient at handling the off road. I take it through the Arizona desert terrain about twice a month and it is superb. Very stylish truck, many people inquire about it and have nothing but compliments.

Weakness:

The only thing that I can think of is the gas mileage, however it compares evenly with all other trucks in its class. The stereo could be better.

Overall, I would definitely recommend this truck to anyone intereted in the market. I did not do the research on Ford and Chevy, but I know that you are getting more for your dollar w/ Nissan than you are for Toyota.

Compared to the Toyota Tacoma Prerunner I definitely like the Nissan hands down. My friend owns the Toyota and he has paid so much more than me for it and my Nissan has many more specs. I've noticed that Toyota has many options, while Nissan has them as the standard. My truck also rides much, much smoother than did the Tacoma. It seems like I'm riding in a wagon when I'm riding in my friends Toyota. However, Toyota does provide a little bit bigger cab.

Strength:

Basic Affordable (10G Canadian) No frills Econopickup. More than adequate acceleration (still), huge on reliablility, Brakes, exhaust, tierods, stablizer pins(from dealer), starter- done at home with affordable aftermarket parts. NO DEALER SERVICE WANTED OR NEEDED. Tried to run the crap out of it- let my son try and he even shortend the body on both ends. Tourture tested pulling FULLY loaded with trailer- worked great keeping RPMS up. 5-speed only makes sense with 2.4 L for fuel consumption and acceleration. Can't kill it. Don't know how many miles on it but estimate 400G KM's.(X.62 for miles I think)

Weakness:

Body rust- maybe should have rustproffed and washed it occasionally. Rear-end seal in 1994- Spedo died in 1995- who needs it. Headlight electrical glitches.

Gonna keep it. Price doubled in ten yrs for new base with x-tra cab,
but IF it ever dies it's a new one. (Havn't seen anybody else with a 91 review?) Don't buy it if you like waisting money and want all the frills bells and whistles with a car ride in a pick-up. It's an extrememly good pick-up for the $$$$.

Supper Charged version is the only way to go. The interior is extremely roomy, even for my size. Back seats have ample leg room for two adults or golf clubs. Leather seats are very comfortable on long rides. Extremely quick for getting on LA freeway on ramps when the traffic is moving. Great look in all black.

Weakness:

Hard armrest. Gearshift for 4x4 hits my leg while driving, annoying after a while.
I have the top of the line truck but didn’t get top of the line stereo. My wife’s pathfinder has a better stereo than mine. Gas mileage sucks. But I should have expected that with the supper charger. I can't keep my foot out of it.

Truck is fast and gets lots of looks. In all black it looks mean and lean.
Could use better seat belt system and better stereo selection. Also took an long time to get. It was the delearships fist one on the lot.

Very good pick up, corners great(took a 45mph turn at 70) with no squilling, great body style, Locking tailgate, alot of space for extra stuff(stereo equipment), very smooth ride around 100mph.

Weakness:

That damn plastic front bumper, tows only 3500lbs, that damn dealership not giving me a 4x4 because they wouldn't finace me. Other than that, a dame good truck for the money.

Even though the truck is only 4x2, it still can go may places, ex. I went mudding with a couple friends and had a blast, just don't go in that deep of mud(friend had to winch me out). It handles really great at 100mph, very good stock suspension, and it's a nice looking truck. I've had alot of people glance and say good comments toward the truck. If anyone is interested in purchaseing this truck, just remember, get what you want. 4x4 and V-6 is a must.

Strength:

This is the most reliable vehicle I have ever owned. It has required virtually no repair that I could not do myself and is very economical to drive. At 15 years old, it is a good looking truck. Strangers comment to me on the "nice looking truck." Very easy to maintain and work on--seems designed with the knowledge that eventually someone may need to access replaceable parts.

Weakness:

Noise. A very basic truck, and at highway speeds (65+) engine and wind noise makes it hard to listen to the radio or stereo. Also since replacing the dented right door, the window periodically pulls lose from the crank mechanism and I have to reglue it. It is an automatic transmission, so it it definitely not designed for off road or rough terrain.

I am in the market for a newer truck only because I will need to be traveling some longer distances than is comfortable with this one. The interior has held up very well. The upholstery (vinyl) is original and has no holes, tears, or separations. I had the truck repainted after some minor body work about 6 years ago and it still looks like a new truck.
The body itself is not very "tough." I have been able to straighten a bent fender with my hands and the body panels will dent or buckle easily. I commute with it 12 miles each way daily and it zips through traffic quickly and easily, (though loudly.)
I bought a repair manual and have basic tools and have been easily able to replace brakes, radiator, thermostats and a windshield washer pump. I have needed a little minor professional assistance to get it past the stiffer emmission requirements the last two years. I also had a leak in the AC repaired about 3 years ago.
There aren't many still around, but they are the perfect truck for the weekend handyman/handywoman/gardner.

Versatility, Good work/commuter...

Weakness:

Poor ride, notchy shifting, no power...

My gripe started with the truck early. I purchaced it when it had only 10k
miles on it and thought it would be a good buy. After the AC went out and I had to fix that myself the crank case filled with gas. They fixed that problem but I had to pay for the tow. I have been unimpressed with service in my area...and with the truck as a whole for that matter. Toyota is too expensive for a 2 wheel drive but Ford seems pretty fair.
Anyone can get a lemon...but service is alot of my problem as well.

Weakness:

Poor adjustable seats! Gas mileage sucks! Hard to put into 5th gear! Clutch rev limit/balance is hard to get a grasp on!

I love the looks, real head turner!!! I have had many people just stare in awe... and have actually had 4 firemen want to get into my truck at a gas station and check it out! However,I drive the truck at least 60 miles a day and have found the gas mileage to be very poor/averaging 14.7 miles per gallon in a combo of city and highway driving...mostly highway! Love the high riding but suspension seems to jump around at times!
