Strength:

It's a Ford. Buy it and drive it for 15 years straight.

Weakness:

To many women try to pick-up on me while I'm in this truck! I'm married and don't need the hassle!

As usual, this Ford Truck is beyond reproach. It's good looking style, powerful V10, attention commanding girth, and host of XLT power options make this the truck to own.

I've owned trucks from Dodge and GM but I always come back to Ford. Ford Trucks are real trucks for real working people. This Super Duty has a high probability of running 15 years without requiring major repairs. My 89 F-250 still runs to this day with 230,000 miles.

I've had 2 Silverado's and a 94 Dodge Ram. They were OK trucks but definately not a Ford Truck.

Model Reviewed: F250 4x4 Crew w/3.73

Strength:

Lots of power towing my 5000# boat. It doesn't even kick out of overdrive at 70-75mph going up hill! Very roomy. Lots of fun in the few big snowstorms we had. I never got stuck, and never had to shovel out a spot on the side streets like all the other poor shmucks.

Weakness:

Gas mileage! I get 11-14 mpg depending if I go 60mph or 75mph That's it! I even had a dealer confirm I have the 3.73. I currently have 34,000 miles on it, and have had to have a new power steering pump, a new water pump, a new gear box, and the tires are wearing too fast. The blindspot side mirrors are not adjustable and are useless.

Overall, I like the truck and recommend it. See Strenghts and weaknesses for the details.

Strength:

I LOVE this truck! The V-10 is awesome! I have all the power I will ever need with this truck. The 4x4 system is also the best around. I ordered my truck, loaded. I ordered it with fog lights, front grille guaurd, bug shield, power sliding rear window, bed liner, rain deflectors for all windows, wood grained dash. You name it, I got it! My gas mileage is 13.4 in the summer (without using the 4 wheel drive), right now I am getting 13.0 MPG. I added a K&N airfilter to help it breath better. There isn't anything that I don't like about this truck! It handles all raod conditions superbly! I tows my trailer lke nothing is there. Because I bought my truck in SD, it comes with high altitude emissions as well as an engine block heater. I have NEVER had to use the engine block heater! I have a gas V-10.

Weakness:

None. I have been driving this truck for almost a year! I have 29,000 miles on it.

I have been driving this truck for almost a year. I travel all over the country with my job, and it handles everything quite well, I would even say exceptional! It heats well, it cools well. The Super Duty is THE BEST truck out there, bar none! My experience with the dealer was also an extremely pleasant experience. All car dealers should be like Jacobsen Ford! They were all honest and forthcoming. I met with the gentleman that owned the dealership, the finance persons, as well as the mechanics, they were all incredible. My salesman was John Perkovich, Jr, and he is the BEST salesman ever. No BS. I walked into the dealership KNOWING EXACTLY what I wanted. He listened, he didn't try to talk me into anything. I wish all my car buying experiences were all as PLEASANT as this was. I WILL ALWAYS BUY FROM JACOBSEN FORD, no matter what part of the country I live in! I ordered my truck with EVERYTHING that I wanted. This is my dream vehicle.
If you want the best truck on the road, go out and get yourself a Super Duty! I can't say enough things about this truck! Anyone who wants an excellent truck that will last a lifetime, should get a Super Duty. You can't beat the quality and value for the money! I want the very best I can get for my money, and I DID when I bought my Super Duty!

This is a very nice truck.I love the way it handles. This truck also rides really good,It stands tall and proud, with plenty of room. The v-10 has the power.

Weakness:

The gas mileage sucks,The overhead trip display shows 9.7 empty or pulling a 4000# payload. This truck has only 8,500 miles,Will this improve???

I paid 32,000 for my f-250 crewcab 4x4 Lariat,Loaded with all extras.I would recommend this to anyone who enjoys the big truck feel, and exellant ride, and apearance it gives.

Strength:

The powerstroke is awsome. The truck is awsome looking when you add some accesories and it is rock soild!!!

Weakness:

I heard that the automatic trans in the 99s and 2000s were crap but they must have fixed them because I have 30000 miles on mine pulling a monster trailer and I haven't had and problems yet.

When the New Dodge came out everyone described it as "Awsome. It wasn't too bad. But good lord the truck has been the same for about 10 years. I had a dodge and traded it in on this ford I have. I have a 42 foot sundowner horse trailer with living quarters. The trailer it self weighs around 12000 pounds. With my dodge I would be in 1st gear going up grades. That is if I had a head start. When I pulled it in my ford it was like I was in a Kenworth. It was a wonderful thing. I love it.

Model Reviewed: Ford F-250SD 4x4 XLT Std Cab

Strength:

Looks, tow ability, roominess, size, off road capability, fit and finish.

Weakness:

Gas milage.

I would definalty recommend this truck to anyone needing a big truck for towing, or hauling big payloads. The 4x4 is also a great option in snow and off road driving. The cab in XLT option is very roomy and comfortable. The paint work (red) is great. I will buy another F-250 Super Duty for sure. This is truly a big truck and if the size intimidates, then look at the F-150.

Dodge 2500 and Chevy 2500. The F-250 outpreforms them in towing, cab roominess and 4x4 capabilities.

I pull a 32 foot 5th wheel and just love it. it really does the job. This is my third Ford truck and the best ever. On the highway I set the cruise control and let it roll along. No hesitations and no swaying. I really feel contol. It is great in the mountains as well. People ask me what truck purchase to pull the rv they are going to buy....no question F250S.D. WITH THE turbo DIESEL ENGINE.

Weakness:

tURNING RADIUS IS ONE DRAWBACK, AND NOT BEING ABLE TO GO THROUGH MY FAVORITE DRIVE THRU. THE SACRIFICE IS WELL WORTH IT.

THIS TRUCK WAS BORN TO HAUL THE FREIGHT DEPENDABLY. I WOULD RECOMMEND IT TO ANYONE WANTING A BIGGG TRUCK THAT DOES THE JOB. IF YOU WANT A TRUCK TO TOOL AROUND TOWN IN BUY A FORD RANGER. IF YOU WANT A TRUCK TO WORK FOR YOU BUY A FORD 250 SUPER DUTY DIESEL.

Not enough room for the back seat drivers, chairs are a bit simple. Gas mileage is poor but hey it is a truck.

Have had this truck fro about a month and have had no problems.

The captians chair is a must for the long road, is quiet and gives for a smooth ride. Comforable and spacious, sound system sounds great, if only it had the cd/cassette combo in it. Looks great and runs great.
