Strength:
superior ride, awsome turning radius, great power for a v-6 in an supercab. Feather light clutch and transmission. Drives like a car, according to my wife!
Weakness:
paint seems kinda soft. Ain't nothing perfect. 1997 Ford F-150, v-6, manual trans, 2wd, supercab w/ 3rd door. Great for those of us with car seats and small kids that still need a truck with decent gas milage for running all over creation. Bought this 97 model with 37,000 miles off a building contractor for 10,500. No spots on the interior, and one little ding on the driver door. Perfect condition I would say. This is a great truck for the Saturday Handyman. Some may need a little more truck. Similar Products Used: Toyota Tacoma. F-150 is twice the truck for the money! |

None This is a great truck well built and put together. Plenty of get up and go to do what you need with the 5.4L. I have the Lariat and paid around 25600 stiker was around 28800. All the extra features with the Lariat make it well worth the extra money. Gas milage is not the best but what do you expect. Very quite and car like to drive I am very happy with this truck.. |

Strength:
A realy nicely balance truck, It has room for 5-6 people depending on how big they are.It handles better than my 1998 mazda 626 eats up bumps on the road better than any other truck I've ever been in, and better than most CARS TOO!! It has great styleing inside and out, all controls are easy to reach and the shift on the fly four wheel drive system is heavenly. My 5.4L engine has more get up and go than my best friends Eagle Talon, to go along with I'ts best in class torque.(345) thats better than Dodge, Chevy or Toyota and that is what you really need when you go to tow something good old fashion American Torque!! This last model year (99) I've made two long time Chevy lovers turn there Silverados in for the best selling truck in America the last 23 straight years!!! I will never buy another truck again,... well another F-series truck In about 13 years or so. The best built best selling trucks are definently BUILT FORD TOUGH!
Weakness:
15 15 miles per gallon, expected from A full size truck I guess. I have the XLT package and it came with A cassette player!! come on Circut city and Beat buy hardly sell tapes anymore. One row for cassettes and 14 rows for CD's, come on guys I should bee happy It did not come with A 8 track or reel to reel player. CD players across the board as A stander feature is A must!! I paid $25,650, It stickerd for $29,030> I think everybody should get the chance to drive A truck as nice as the one I have, and they are at your local Ford outfitters showroom. F-series don't leave home with one or two or..... Similar Products Used: older F-150, 97 dodge ram 1500 |

best looks, best handling, best ride, best price, you get more bang for your buck out of this truck. you get a powerfull engine and a lot of towing capacity and a great factory radio. nice wheels and tires and a car like ride.
Weakness:
gas mileage (no big deal) overall the best truck to own by far,I love mine and wouldn't trade it for anything. I can' believe that anyone would own anything else. I wish everone could have the experience of driving one everyday like i do i know they would love it as much as i do. thank you truly a ford f-150 lover. p.s. the ford f-150 is the best truck ever!!! I really like the handling on this truck. I think that is has alot of pickup for such a large vehicle.
Weakness:
*this truck has wimpy or sissy body Some of the weeknesses can be fixed with a little money and TLC, and i dont even notice the noise in the cabin after i turn up the radio. Despite all these weeknesses i still like the truck, i like the way the gas pedel feels, i like the way the brakes feel, i like the air bag switch, i like the shiny wheels that came on mine, not the tires and i like how the exhaust comes out on the side. Good stuff |

Strength:
Quality of Craftsmanship, Exterior paint and engine reliability
Weakness:
Rounded body style, Fuel economy for V6 (12 mpg), The truck is put together extremely well, from the quality of the materials used to the way the seams fit. The V6 engine has great acceleration, but is quite noisy (and gas milage is dissapointing). A better option is the V8. Similar Products Used: Dodge Ram 1500 |

Strength:
huge bed for toting stuff. good factory tires. very nice interior controls and amenities. low interior noise.
Weakness:
seats leave much to be desired. engine doesn't have as much get-up-and-go as you would expect from a 5.4 V8. Ride on road is bumpy. Paint can be scratched by looking at it too hard. Ford Could have done a much better job. Add car-like styling to a work truck - result wimpy. Lacks a real aggressive styling that is There for Toyota, Chevy and Dodge. It uses its strong name and customer following to produce a truck that is sub-par. It could be much better with a little work though. I love Ford, but on my next purchase, I will have to go with a Z-71. Similar Products Used: Full size Chevy |

Strength:
The Ford is a very torquey beast. The 5.4 is one of the strongest engines I've driven, although it drinks gas....
Weakness:
No car has a 100% perfect build quality.... (unless its a Porsche or Audi) I would definitely recommend the f-150 for what it is intended to do - haul, off-road, and put smiles on my face... Similar Products Used: Within Ford, the 4.6 doesnt stand a candle against the 5.4 auto, however, one with a 4.6 manual stands a chance against a 5.4 auto.. |

shortbed f-150 ext. cab lariat
Strength:
Quiet smooth running engine. Barely hear it run. Responsive engine and tranny. Pull 16 foot boat regularly. never given a problem pulling. Has always given me what I needed and more. Nice leather interior.
Weakness:
Blows interior and power window fuses daily. Gas mileage not good 12 in town best on trip ever was to guntersville w/o boat and got 15.5 mpg. However just added a k&n air filter and dual exhaust. Flowmaster single in and dual out. Nice rumble not loud though. What I stressed when it was installed. Now getting 2-3 mpg better in all applications. Recommend this truck because it has never let me down. Always pulls whatever I need and then some. Similar Products Used: 92 chevy 4.3. Pulls the pants off it. 96 chevy 6.5 turbo diesel. Great engine but normal diesel noise. Good truck though. |
