Ford F-150 (2010 and older) Trucks | Vans

DESCRIPTION

The Ford F-150 pickup can haul more cargo and tow a heavier trailer than any of its competitors. And with a fully boxed frame, the F-150 has the strongest chassis in its class. Engineered and tested to withstand more punishment than your most difficult tasks, the F-150 is Built Ford Tough to come through with the dependability you expect in this full-size pickup.

The current F-150 does come in a host of cab, bed, powertrain, and suspension variations; there are three cab configurations with multiple wheelbases and box lengths each, providing choices to satisfy just about any trucker's need with the F-150. Properly outfitted, the F-150 can tow 10,700 pounds--while earning five-star frontal crash-test scores. A choice of V-8 engines comes with either four- or six-speed automatic transmissions, but no V-6 engine option is offered.

I love the power that it has, all the ladies in Los Angeles love a big man
in a big truck. Runs everthing on the freeway. Harvest gold with dark tint
and a powerful sound system with cd changer keeps me and MARY JANE chillin.
Came in very useful during the Los Angeles Laker Celebration. Had about 15 guys and gals in the back and we rolled...Must go test drive

Weakness:

Gas is horrible, because i cant help gettin off the line and watching everyone stare. Truck damn near pops a wheelie!!!!

lease at $283.31 a month w/$2000.00 down 36 month ,12,0000
don't hate me because i have good credit, probably could have gotten it cheaper had I walked out and let them call me back. But after 6 hours of hagglin with the tite bastards i gave in and left pretty statisfied with the deal i got.

I love my F-150, it has the 4.6, and it will toast any chevy, I still haven't lost to one yet, but sadly, it was totaled 6 weeks ago by a kid that ran a red light, the side impact beam saved my friends life, That is why I will always buy a Ford. The gas mileage is very good also, about 18-20, and about 400 miles per tank.

Weakness:

the only weakness is that the lariat stiched on the seats came off, no big deal

I absolutly love the truck, I would never buy a chevy, because the ford will kill it in many ways, forget what people say about the fords being prone to problems, I have 5 friends with new chevys, and they are always having to take them in because something new breaks. This is the truck to own. As they say Built Ford Tough!!!!!

There are none, except for the tax write of I get for my business

Weakness:

Barely runs, I put 150,000 mile on it in under a year and now the thing acts like it came from the junkyard. I've replaced; starter, alternator, tranny, rear diff., 4WD system, electrical componets (windows, locks, stereo), wiper pump, head gasket, power steering pump, water pump, fuel injectors, tires, exhaust, and brakes.

I heard several good reports about the F series ford pick-ups but after my experiecnes with this model, I'll never go back. If you want a real truck, go with CHEVY.

My last truck was a General Motors product and at least it went for 250,000 miles before dying on me. I'll be lucky if this beater makes it to 200,000.

Strength:

It looked cool.

Weakness:

Totally unreliable, poorly built, cheap, cheap, American-made garbage.

This was the worst vehicle I've ever owned. I got rid of it at 30K miles and got a Toyota. This truck spent more time in the shop than my driveway. The interior felt like it was made by Hasbro, all plastic parts and rattled like crazy. The seats were incredibly uncomortable. Within 10K miles the front end started making noises. Then the u-joint went. At 20K miles the intake manifold gasket blew. The transfer case started making a grinding noise shortly thereafter and the dealership said it couldn't find the problem. At 25K the rear axle seals both went and ruined the rear brakes. On the way home from a week-long stay at the dealership the engine just simply died. The electrical system went up in smoke. When I finally got the truck back I drove it straight to the Toyota dealership and traded it in. The Toyota ran for 80K miles before I traded it and never had a single problem. I wanted to buy an American car for patriotic reasons but I regret that purchase. It's sad to say but the American cars are really poorly built. Their quality is terrible and the dealerships are unscrupulous. I can't say enough bad things about this product.

jJust about everthing is great engine, interior, 4x4, and looks the truck looks menacing.

Weakness:

I'd probably have to say the gas mileage is not that great but then again its almost equal to my 1999 f-150 XL 4x2 4.2l and is much nicer and has alot more guts to boot.

I have owned the truck for about 2 weeks and I love it. The truck is strong and rugged with no apparent drawbacks as yet. The 5.4l is awsome great power and gobs of torque much better than my previous 4.2l. On a whole I must say the truck is great and is much more comfortable the the competitions trucks. I wouldnt change it for anything.

I have only had one bad experience with this vehicle. the bolt holding the right front brake caliber came out a 75 miles a hour and I lost some braking, the caliber sliped down. Other than that this truck has not given me any trouble runs great and does the job it was purchased for.

Strong V-8 Very good build quality...nothing falling off or falling apart. Unlike GM vehicles.

Weakness:

I was a little leary of purchasing an American made vehicle after owning imports all of my life. I never had a problem with my Japanese vehicles..most recently a Nissan Pickup..but I wanted a full sized truck. After quickly ruling out any GM product (too many horror stories) I researched and concluded that Ford would be my wisest choice. Turns out I was right. After 18 months I have had no problems at all and have been most pleased with the trucks' overall performance.

Very smooth ride. Great handling. Excellent fuel mileage for a big truck (20 mpg city). Quiet. Power enough, esp w/ computer chip add-on. Faultless engine. Back fold down seats perfect for my dogs.

Weakness:

Styling...prefer more "trucky" appearance, but for one of Ford's best trucks/year at 15K, who's complaining?

It is everything I wanted (and didn't know I wanted) in an automobile. Drove it from Chicago to Virginia...never felt like I was driving a truck (except for riding high), handled the highway and mountain switchbacks with ease. Couldn't believe the 20 mpg fuel usage! Seats in back fold down for my two dogs. Plenty of room in the bed for hauling compost or antiques. Had wanted the V8 4WD, but have learned that the V6 of 1999 is one of Ford's best...get one if you can.
As a bonus, the truck came with a bed cap and liner. 31,000 miles when I bought it in immaculate condition. I would recommend this vehicle without reservation. It is a keeper.

Lots of ROOM. I'm 6ft. 5in. with size 18 shoes and I fit. Comfortable to ride in. Good looking. Sun roof. Fold down back seats.

Weakness:

Gas mileage

Did I say the truck has lots of room? There are plenty of times some of your cargo needs to be carried inside the truck and there are other things you would not want in the truck but in the back. The F-150 gives you the best of both worlds.

The interior can seat 5 comfortably. If you need to transport things under cover, fold down the rear seats and there is plenty of room. Need to carry plywood, go ahead.

I added the bed extension. Drop the rear gate, turn the extension over on to the gate and there's room to spare. Truck rides smoothly and is good on long trips.

The gas milage could be better. I get 16.4 in the city and 18.5 on trips with the 4.6 liter V8. I have the limited slip differential rear end, which adds a lot more traction.

Get the sun roof...it's great!
