Strength:

All my friends want to "borrow" it.

Weakness:

Gas mileage is a little to be desired.

I love my Sport-Trac. Solid Black exterior is very sharp. Not noticed any road noise. Roomy interior. Rubber floorboard makes for easy upkeep on the interior.

Strength:

Great Engine. Automatic roll-down rear window. Nice-shifting manual transmission. Looks great. Sits up high in traffic but feels very stable.

Weakness:

Small bed size does limit carrying capacity. Strange combo of accessories (power windows but no power mirrors, power locks but no remote opener, all of which came on our Hyundai Santa Fe at $3000 less). Really sad base CD Player/Radio (Again, the Santa Fe's radio is much better at a cheaper price.)

I was looking to replace my 10 year old Ranger Supercab. This really fits my life. I now have 2 toddlers and the car seats fit perfectly in the back. My SportTrac is a true Base model (no step bars, no power mirrors) and I have the five speed manual transmission. This was the only five-speed on the lot. It rides well, sits up high in traffic, and accelerates well. The bed is handy (but don't mistake it for a "real" truck). The bed itself is some kind of plastic (not a liner) and seems initially to be able to hold up for the long haul. All in all I am very happy.

Strength:

Nice handling, good ride and a "fun" vehicle todrive.

Weakness:

Poor mileage, no V8 available, and leather seats are not heated. (The last item has been corrected in newer models.) Also, they advertise the towing capacity, but don't offer a factory towing package option.

30 miles before I hit the "magic" 36000 mark, I detected a loud and annoying "squeal" in the engine. In the past month and a half, the dealer has had the vehicle on three separate instances for a total of about 35 days and they, working with Ford engineers, cannot find the problem. I'm nervous about what might be ahead for me if it's not found.

Strength:

Very sharp looking, interior is easy to clean, sound system is great, sunroof rocks, rear window was a selling point, love the cargo cage, overall pretty nice.

Weakness:

Noisy highway driving (windy), gas mileage is poor. Nothing major so far.

Love the overall appeal of the vehicle. Researched it (as well as others) for quite some time and feel as though it is the best buy on the market right now. Has a lot of options and is quite comfortable.

Strength:

Its fits in the garage. Beautiful interior/exterior and gas milege is acceptible.

Weakness:

Pretty nosy during highway driving. A little ackward to open the door from inside, you have to reach through the door handle. Truck Stalls if not warmed up properly on cold days.

Its a great all-around truck. It's great for the weekend warrior in me and can handle 4 bicycles when treat my buddies to a 100 mile Seagull Century. It suppose to be fully loaded but it missing the drive side heat warmer.

Strength:

Comfortable, stylish, bought the deluxe warranty and love that too! No problems so far. I love the electric back window and the bedliner.

Weakness:

Gas Mileage is not the greatest. But, I wouldn't have minded getting a V8 for a little more horsepower.

I love this truck. I wanted an SUV and a Pickup so this is perfect. More room in the cab than any of the clubcab or 4 door pickups. I love the ride, a little like a truck but more like a car. I wish it had a sunroof. Buy the toneau cover somewhere else. Ford's is double what it should be.

Checked out the Jeep Libery, Mazda Tribute, Escape, and Nissan Frontier Super Club. Nothing compared to this vehicle for price and comfort. Besides I got an added bonus, a little pickup bed! I love it

Strength:

motor performes pretty good, really like the tranny. interior well placed, has the sports car feeling, towes my 18'ski boat somewhat ok, my wife likes it for the roomy inside for the boys

Weakness:

gas milage very poor, you think your in a v8,and that it what it really needs, breaks are always squealing, and that little check engine lite comes on if you dont shut the gas door,so you got to take it to ford to reset, headlites are made very poorly, the seals leak and fog up the inside,so dont go to carwash and spray close to them, there very very exspensive

I've always owned ford products. As soon as I seen the sport trac I had to have it. I bought it in my hometown for a family owed dealer. After 24,000 miles I began having problems. The truck runs terrific for the size motor & 4 wheel drive has yet to fail me. However there is a constant squeeling in the left front wheel that is not common in the other Ford products I have previously owned. The headlights have been replaced 6 times due to them filling up with water & fogging. I have had no other troubles except the brakes infront suck. Besides that overall the truck serves our purpose.

Strength:

The plastic bed are great for cargo. 4 large doors for easy enterance for 4 Adults. Comfortable Leather Seats with heat. Good performance. Nice dash layout. The pioneer 6 disc CD changer is a must. The bed extender is also a must. The ride is great for a truck based SUV.

Weakness:

Fit and finish in the interior. Could use a V-8 for towing or off road fun. Needs auto head lights for this price range. Options such as a Class 3 hitch should be available as a factory option. Slightly soft suspension(Rides more like a Cadillac and less like a truck), could use a tighter suspension for a 4x4.

I have owned the following vehicles; Ford Bronco; Ford Mustang; Mazda B-2000; Honda Accord; Jeep Wrangler(2), Jeep cherokee, and a Toyota Highlander(Still Own). This is a great vehicle for what it is. I wanted a 4 Door SUV with a cargo area that I could haul miscelaneous Stuff around. I carried Mulch in my Jeep Cherokee once and the inside smelled like cedar for a month. The mini truck bed is perfect for personal hauling. If you need a work truck, buy a full size truck. If you need an SUV with the ability of a small truck this is perfect. I hear people complain about the ride on this vehicle, but it rides nice for a true Truck based SUV. You can not compare it to a Car based SUV like the highlander or MDX. The seats are comfortable. The performance is good for it's size, however for a little extra fun, a V-8 would be nice. The looks are great and is what first attracted me to the truck. The four wheel disc brakes are very smooth. The P-255/16 Good Year Wrangler's are also smooth and vibration free. At highway speeds, wind noise is minimal. The fit and finish in the interior is not as good as my Toyota, but the exterior is great.
