Strength:
Almost everything about this little baby is great.
Weakness:
Manual tranny, should have waited for the auto. I drive in heavy traffic daily and wish for the auto. 20000 is packed with some great accessorys. It is one of the few SUV that I can recomend. It has been very fun and reliabel. Similar Products Used: I have used a Toyota 4x4 pickup for 8 years. It is only similar in that they are good and fun in 4x4. The Suzuki is more stable though. The truck was higher. |

Strength:
Very solid and pretty darn comfortable. It comes with just about everything a person could ask for;AC, 4-wheel ABS, cd changer, alloys, power locks ,windows, cruise.
Weakness:
The plastic trim is a little fragile. My mileage could be a little better. The dealer network seems a little light in inventory as far as accessories are concerned. The stock tires belong on a passenger car not on a 4X4. After looking at the others in the class and the GV is just the best buy. Similar Products Used: CRV. The GV is a lot better value for the money. It just feels more solid. I think with the CRV you pay for the privilege of the HOnda namesake. |

1. Weak acceleration (about 13-15 seconds from 0 to 100 km/hr) I do NOT recommend Suzuki Grand Vitara. There is nothing GRAND in it. Similar Products Used: RAV4 : Quite well |

I test drive this Used Suzuki SUV after I have driven alot of cars. I wanted to get a car first but I checked some new Suvs out. It turned out I could not quite afford on new. So after looking around at some more cars I found out some information on the Grand Vitara and went to look at it. At first I was suprised to find out it is a Suzuki SUV I thought they only make those little bity 4x4s. Then I was even more suprised to drive it with a very good motor and the great body style, and the price was for me. Its mine and still cant believe how much I paid for it.
Weakness:
Sales men were kinda rude, then again it wasnt Suzuki dealership. Have not any complaints on the Suv as of now. Runs very strong and solid. I paid just over $15,000 dollars with 12,000 mi. on the Odom. What a deal of course I highly recomend it. Making my parents purchase a 2000 soon. Similar Products Used: I test drive everything within reason $. This one fit my budget and style well. It also has the most usefull things like anti-lock brakes, Driver and passenger air bags and shift on the fly 4x4. |

-Excellent handeling
Weakness:
Notta one yet, well maybe the back seats should have 4"-5" more room. Guess this would have made the suv a little longer. But to me the extra length trade off would NOT be worth the extra room. $20-thousand brand new. I have made it my goal to let people interested in this Suv test drive it (with me inside) to see and feel why I went with this great Suv. I recomend it. Similar Products Used: I have used only full size pickups and large SUVs in the past. This is my 5th auto and never thought I would be owning a Suzuki SUV. But to all my relatives and friends amazement I now do. Now they love it too. |

I love this little suv. Small turning radius. Quick and nimble just as I would expect an suv to be. Find something new to like about it almost daily. What a change from Suzuki's old Samuri, its not even comparable in any way except they do come 4x4. But mine is 2wd, pref.
Weakness:
Have not seen any weaknesses yet, have tried to find something to have a problem with. Still nothing to date-2000 mi. 19k - I recommend it! I wish I could have two. All in all I got a great deal and features are great. I dont even mess with the light switch, it is all automatic which I like since I tend to forget my lights sometimes this is genius. Good gas milage too when I am easy on the drive. Hevent gone offroading with it though, there isnt anywhere to go offroad here. Just salty beaches that would just destroy it. Similar Products Used: 4runner - I cant compare the two, they are in two totaly seperate class of SUV's. The suzuki is in what I would call the Mini SUV class. I loved the 4runner though, accident destroyed it. Now I am very happy with this Mini. |

All equipped at a reasonable price. Yeah! No more costly add ons. V6!!!!
Weakness:
Dash could be prettier like the Kia Sportage. 23950 fully equipped V6 and mag wheels. SUPER. Drives 100% nicer than Kia Sportage I test drove earlier. Try a Sportage, then go test drive a Grand itara. You'll buy Vitara. Similar Products Used: I looked at samurai about 8 years ago and chose Mazda 323! Look at you now! |

Suzuki has made a remarkable little suv now. I enjoy the styling of the interior the most, or is it the full V6 power plant, or is it the body style. Well I cant decide what I like the most. Maybe the price.
Weakness:
I dont like the horn sound. I know that sounds petty but it could have been more loud. I am very happy with the price I paid $18,000, I got everything with it. Yes I do recomend it, it is just a great SUV. Have big plans for it with some aftermarket items when out. Similar Products Used: Leased Lexus RX300, Well they drive very similar, but I actually like this Grand Vitara handeling more for some reason. |

What I like about the Grand Vitara is its sleek body and smooth surprising performance abilitys. The price cant be beat by anything that is called an SUV.
Weakness:
Anoying header heat sheild rattle at 1.5k rpm after whacking a large rock with exaust pipe. Other than that its been great. I paid $17,500 for it, Oh yes I do think so I would recomend it. Everyone should be so fortunate as me. I kinda feel sorry for all the people I see checking me out in their extremly overpriced SUVS. Similar Products Used: This is the first SUV I have purchased yet. |

Strength:
Surprising off-road capability. Have been through mud and snow. Gets us to back country snow areas really well. Have been stuck in places but have pulled out jeeps and trucks just as many times or more. Decent fuel economy. Fun to drive and cheap to maintain. An actual truck that will get you off road where the small car-platform SUV's can't tread.
Weakness:
Seat stitching came undone all over the place. Could use a lot more ground clearance. Any off-road foray will make this obvious. Not super solid feeling construction all around. Small tank makes fill up range 200-250 miles or so. People in big trucks make fun of your 'rig' until you end up pulling them out. We bought this a few years ago as a fun vehicle and have really enjoyed it. Added a Yakima rack, spare tire rack, and a nice stereo. Can cary five bikes and lots of gear (with a LoadWarrior) into all sorts of places. Will only fit up to 215 tires. This helps off-road and clearance some. MPG varies between 18-27 depending on load and the mood of my foot. Similar Products Used: None |
