Strength:

It's the roomiest interior tested shouder wise, it has the classiest exterior, has more power that any tested so far, recieves the most stares. It also has the most features, and buttons.

Weakness:

the third seat accomodations are small with little leg room and little luggage room

I would recommend it to everyone especially people who want to impress someone or someone who appreciates people staring at their vehicle. People with 6 kids and travel should probably go for the suburban.

Strength:

Great 300HP Power!
Nice handling and turning radius.
Beautiful Looks.

Weakness:

Likes gas, but what V-8 doesn't?

I am VERY pleased with my Navigator. It is withou exception, the BEST SUV out there. The Cadillac and Chevy's all look the same; the Toyota and Lexus are identical and WAY OVERPRICED, for LESS performance and features!
If you want the BEST, look no further......REALLY!

Strength:

This is such an amazing SUV. The Ride is smooth and boy is it quit inside. Asolutly the best looking SUV on the market today. It took 3 months to get it from the factory as I had ordered every available option. (Navigational system included). The Climate controlled front seats are new thing for me since I am not too fond of leather seats. This option (Since you can COOL as well as Heat your seat) No more sticky seats in the summer. GLAD I SOLD THE LEXUS... IT DOES NOT EVEN COME CLOSE TO THE LUXURY OF THE NAV... My Wife gets 20 MPG On the Highway. I get 17Mpg.(Not bad for a big bruser) Air Suspension RIde...(Excellent). Navigational System is a Phillips supported by NAVTECH mapping service. No monthy fees.

Weakness:

Wish it had Dual Exhaust all the way back. Extra Map CD's for the navigational system are $115 each although the US is broken up into just a few section. Still for cross contry travel it will cost you $400.00

If you are looking for a Luxery SUV look no further.. I had the Lexus it is no more that a Toyoto with Yellow teeth. The Lexus 300 is and still looks like the Isuzu Amigo....(Ugly)(with Yellow Teeth to boot). MSRP was 62K.

It has a great ride, it's very luxurious, and it's features make it more trustworthy. I also like the desighn because it's very sleek.

Weakness:

The one thing I don't like about it is that it doesn't have a good gas eficiency.

I paid 47,000 and Yes I would recomend it to others.

Strength:

I personally don't own a Lincoln Navigator but it is my most desired sports utility vehicle. I am 18 years old and about to graduate high school . I would love to own the newest modeled navigator though. It is my first goal. I hope that everyone who owns a "NAVI" takes very good care of it. The build of the truck is very unique. That's what makes it so special I LOVE THE LINCOLN COMPANY FOR MAKING SUCH A BEAUTIFUL SUV and I would like to tell them to keep up the good work with the NAVIGATOR. :-}

Weakness:

none

I would recomend this truck to anyone who wants to have some of the finer things in life because the Navigator is definitely one of them. I LOVE THE NAVIGATOR!!!!!!!
to anyone who would like to e-mail me big and small pictures of the Navigator please feel freeeeeeeeee to do so. please!!!!

Strength:

My second Navigator. The 99 seems to be much tighter and better built than the 98 (the 98 was very early model). The 300 HP engine is great, pulls a 6000 pound boat effortlessly. The Navigator is a very nice winter car warm, quite and smooth. The vehicle is very comfortable, makes Explorers passenger area seem small.

Weakness:

Tires, Tires, Tires. Cheap tires on an otherwise first class vehicle. Poor gas mileage (big car!!) and premium fuel (powerful engine)

The Navigator is an excellant vehicle for both utility and luxury. I pull a boat, haul lumber and other stuff, take vacations to Montana. It has always performed to excellant levels expecially considering the size. And with the better build quality I've experienced with the 99 I am even more impressed. The 98 had 34,000 miles and the 99 has 5,000 miles. Both vehicles leased. The 99 I am paying $500 per month with 2k down. The Navigator is not for everyone but I would recommend it if you are looking for a full size SUV.

Explorers, Expedition, Yukon. The Navigator provides more luxury and superior ride. Haven't compared to 2000 Yukon. The styling of the Navigator is unique, doesn't look like everthing else on the road.

Strength:

Size: holds lots of people and stuff.
Relatively easy to drive considering the size.
Comfortable ride for an SUV.

Weakness:

No major problems ... at 10K now.
Running board is too narrow.
3rd row seat belts "dangle" and make lots of noise when seat is removed.

You can't get a ride this good and carry people and/or cargo with many other SUVs.

Model Reviewed: Lincoln Navigator

Strength:

Extremely comfortable, quiet, and secure ride. Excellent creature comfort features, ie: air conditioning, stereo, seat positioning, passenger room, power amenties (windows, door locks, moonroof, rear vent windows, etc.) Commanding view of the road due to vehicle seating positioning and glass area. Outstanding performance from the 300hp/32v/5.4 Intech V8 engine - really moves out for a 5200+lb vehicle. Overall styling is very good.

Weakness:

I have to say gas mileage. But, having said that, one doesn't normally buy a Lincoln if they're looking for a vehicle with great gas mileage. Overall vehicle size takes some getting used to, but not a ral problem if you maintain your sense of it.

This has to be one of the nicest vehicles I have ever owned. I have been very pleased with the styling, performance, ride, and overall quality in my Navigator. Room for both passengers and cargo is outstanding. Even the 2nd row bench seat feels like a First Class airline seat. While not for everyone, if you're looking for a great ride, with enough room for the wife, kids, and luggage for an out-of-town weekend, I'd recommend you look at a Navigator. If you're budget minded, however, this may not be your best choice.

I have owned my Navigator for 12 months, having been delivered on 1/30/99. List price was $44847, but it was purchased for $40425, which was $1000 over invoice. I used www.edmunds.com to verify dealer prices, delivery costs, and rebates/incentives available to the dealer. I found the dealer to be very receptive of this knowledge, which made the buying process that much easier.

Mine is a 2WD model, as I have no real use for 4WD. There were not many options available, as most were standard on the Navigator. However, I ordered mine with the JBL stereo AM/FM/Cassette, CD Changer, heated seats, power moon roof, second seat bench, and aluminum wheels. Everything else that I may have wanted was standard: power seats, steering, brakes, windows, door locks, cruise, tilt wheel, leather seats, automatic A/C (temp control), adjustable pedals, limited slip, etc. etc. etc. etc. - the list goes on and on.

I now have 15800 miles on my Navigator, and have had very few problems. The drivers side overhead map light switch broke which resulted in replacement of the overhead console. Presently, the drivers side heated seat is inoperable, but I haven't had a chance to return it for repair. I suspect a bad switch. But, in 15800 miles, that's it. Everything else has been superb. I would definitely buy another Navigator when the time comes, as I am very pleased with the vehicle.

I have had the Navigator on the road for at least two long trips (over 1000 miles), and have been very pleased with the ride, comfort, and road presence of the vehicle. Gas mileage on the hiway was 22+, while in the city, I average about 14.5 mpg. Not the best, but I think reasonable for the ride and comfort the vehicle provides.

I had previously owned 2 Ford Explorers, a '91 which was traded for a '96, which was traded for the Navigator. Prior to that I had an '87 GMC Jimmy. While looking at the Navigator, I compared the GMC Suburban and Tahoe, as well as the Ford Expedition. The GMC products were too 'trucklike' in their ride and both had fairly average fit and finish. The Ford Expedition, on which the Navigator is based, came closest to the Navigator (naturally) in fit and finish and overall ride. However, in '99 the Expedition only came with a 260hp 5.4ltr V8, which while more powerful than the 230hp version in the '98 Expedition/Navigator, it still needed some more legs. Lincoln was developing the 5.4ltr 32v Intech V8 which was rated at 300hp. Indeed, this is the best overall engine but was it was not offered for the Expedition. So, that made up my mind...Navigator was my choice. As soon as the 32v 300hp engine was available, I placed my order. I have been very satisfied.

Strength:

My Navi is great. It handles well on the highway, leather is comfy. My Lincoln is truly American Luxury at it's finest.

Weakness:

Is a real gas-hog waste about $200 weelky on gas. Small Price to pay for such a great truck though.

I recommend the Navi to anyone who wants the best combination of luxury and power.I bought my Navi last year when I was 16 years old and has been the best decision I have ever made. Can't wait 'till 2003 re-modeled one's come out. Until then my Lincoln Navigator is truly The Great One of SUV's.

Jeep Grand Cherokee, Cadillac Escalade, Nav has much more power and just as much luxury.
