Strength:

Rock solid. Goes anywhere. Not for wimps. Most recognizable.

Weakness:

Air bags (who needs 'em!?!)

There really is nothing like a Jeep. I love my silver Sport more than any vehicle I've ever owned. Jeep has more character (with the exception of a Harley) than any other vehicle made. It’s a car on steroids. I hear people complain of noise, no anti-theft protection, a ruff ride and poor gas mileage. #1, a Jeep is a statement of freedom not of luxury. If the wind bothers me I turn the stereo up, and take the face with me when I get out. I enjoy the feel of the road, I am in control of the vehicle not vice versa. And to top it off I get 21 ½ mpg going to work. That’s only 2-½ mpg less than the last Japanese vehicle I owned. People who love their Jeeps know, they know... It can hardly be described, but they know. It’s a utilitarian design that goes back to World War Two. It’s a vehicle designed to be totally functional not frivolous. It’s a design that has other auto-makers imitate it in flattery and envy. It’s a curb hoppin’, puddle jumpin’, rock crawlin’, “made-it-to-work-through-a-blizzard” type of vehicle. People who complain about their Jeeps are like people who beat their dog and wonder why it bit somebody.

Love the AC Plenty of room Rides super Love half doors

Weakness:

Engine lags a bit (again just as much my fault) YOU KIDDING ME IT'S A JEEP THEY ARE TRUELY THE GREATEST. THERE"S ONLY ONE!

I previously had a 1976 Jeep CJ5 show jeep. Compared to my CJ this jeep is the cats ass. I had to fix my CJ everyday. Anyone that moans about the ride on these TJ's needs a nice long mountain ride in an older CJ. I put a 4" Superlift on my jeep with 33 x 10.50 Mud terrains. It looks great and rides great. I do have a problem with the power but it's partly my own fault. I always ride with the defrost on mid cool, this means the compressor always kicks on. I have to admit though I thought it would have more power then it does. I am looking to upgrade engine components such as the ignition coil, air intake, and possible get the JET chip for it. I really do love this jeep. It suites me great now. I still have off-road capability and jeep ruggedness but without a 30 yr. old drive terrain. It is really amazing to see what jeep has down over the past 30 yrs. You would really be impressed if you did a little research just to see how far they've come.

torque! great resale value

Weakness:

you worry about scratching the $800 30" wheel upgrade.

I'm 10 months into this Wrangler and love it. I've had nothing even minor go wrong. I figured a bit of off-road would loosen the dash and cause some rattles---none. Mine came with CD player but not the top sound package; still I can't agree with the complaints about the stock sound system. The road noise expected in a jeep should negate any added fidelity you'll get by spending big bucks on premium sound. I have fun just driving it to work. This is a be almost anything vehicle. Its great for its intended purpose (which ain't grocery shoppin).

This truck sucks. Worst purchase I ever made. It came with 3.07 gears in the axles and the damn thing can't get out of its own way. I was hoping to do some off roading but I can't. I can't do any modifications because it would cost too much. I would need new axles, tires, wheels, gears and lockers, a lift. AND on top of all that I would need to at least put a supercharger on the piece of crap so I would be able to keep up with traffic. My stock ground clearance is only 8 inches. What am I driving, a subaru? On top of this, the CD player in the radio broke. There is a water leak on the right rear floor where the roll bar meets the body. It leaks like crazy and i've already been to the dealer three times to fix it and they can't fix it. I've found out that this is a problem with many other jeeps as well (NHTSA says something about this). My front disc brakes were warped when I first got the car, they warped again at 12,000 miles and again at 25,000 miles. Turns out the rear brakes weren't working 100% so all the pressure was on the front brakes. What's up with that? All in all, give me back my 86 Jeep pickup with the V8 and the leaf springs. I had bought that for 500 bucks. Still wondering what I paid $24,000 for on this TJ. Some advice: if you plan to do any off roading you have to get the RUBICON or at least get the Dana 44 rear axle with 3.73 gears and 30-inch tires. It'll make any upgrades much easier because the wheels will accept larger size tires and the rear Dana 44 axle can take the punishment.

Great power and off road capability, tons of fun.

Weakness:

gas efficiency, getting the hard top off is a pain.

The Jeep Wrangler is an amazing machine. I used to have a 98', but recently upgraded with a 2003, only with both tops, which makes it a little quieter on the highway, but it does weigh about 150 lbs! When equiped with the 4 liter, it dominates anything that I put it against off road, and is shockingly quick on road when matched with a 5 speed manual. (will waste pretty any other stock SUV on or off the road) This vehicle also is great in the summertime. There is nothing better than heading to the beach on a hot summer day than with the top down and doors off.

very powerful I-6 easy to drive 5 sp. very fun to drive every high school and college girl checks you out

Weakness:

poor gas mileage on I-6 noisey on highway lack of storage & security

A lot more than I expected - very fun to drive. I recommend getting the premium speaker package with sub included, but don't get the factory cd player - aftermarkets are better anyways. Wish i would've gotten a hard top for road trips and winter months Soft top is not as much of a hassle - takes about 5-7 minutes to lower/raise- a bit noisy on highway. I-6 very powerful down low - bad for gas mileage - Can't keep anything of value in car - it just unzips. Lockatrunk provide about 2 sq feet of secure storage - about duffle bag size. Very enjoyable to drive - much smoother on highway than expected. Very easy to drive 5 sp even if you've never driven one before - plus it's not a real jeep if it's automatic

Weakness:

reverse grinds sometimes..doors are a pain to get off if left sitting for a while on the jeep, the entire rear window/tailgate is a pain..should be able to open the window without having to open the tailgate

Good vehicle overall..great for hauling small items inside.. even the class 1 hitch at 1 1/4" is perfect for towing the jet ski to the bay on a weekend

Okay I got this Jeep as a gift in 98, I now have over 102000 miles on it. I work in emergency services and this means long hours, often rough conditions and hard work. This Jeep has held up fantastically!. Yeah the roof is a bit noisy but it is a JEEP with a soft top.

4.0L I6 engine 5 speed a definite plus... why bother owning an automatic... plus I haven't heard such wonderful things about the automatic. Intense Blue color!!! Yellow would be the next best color... :-) Accessorize!!!! Strength... Character... Everybody loves a Jeep... Watch out Jersey Shore... I'm comin' down with a Jeep this year... :-)

Weakness:

None that I've found yet... except that I can't take the hard top off myself (160 lbs.) Stereo could be better and it could have that automatic volume control while driving.

I am so excited about owning this vehicle. I just came out of owning a Plymouth Grand Voyager (minivan) and what a difference. I've loved these ever since I was young. I was looking for a convertible but my heart has always yearned for a truck. What better choice than the Jeep Wrangler. I only got the hard top, so I will be buying the soft top in the next month or so... it's cheaper than buying one through the dealer anyway, and (so says the dealer) the one I'm looking at is better quality than what they'd give me. :-) It's a great color too!!! Intense Blue Pearl Coat!!! I love standing out... so I am so pyched about my Jeep. I've only had it for 4 1/2 days... but already I am totally in love with it. 5 speed 4.0L I6. CD Player... the stereo definitely needs to be upgraded... but for now, it works. :-) Good times will be had in this vehicle. And with all the options and accessories to add on... there's no way not to have fun... Happy Trails y'all... if you wave, I'm waving back... that's also a motorcycle thing... glad to see it goes beyond bikes. :-)
