Jeep TJ Wrangler
Strength:
When it wasn't in the shop it was fun
Weakness:
Really bad on gas Really expensive to fix Not reliable Terrible service (chrysler) 1999 Jeep TJ. The biggest piece of garbage I've ever driven, and I used to drive a Hyundai. For anywone out there thinking of getting into a new JeepTJ, think again. I was in a 4 year lease with this vehicle, and ended up paying an additonal 3800.00 in repairs. The transmission blew after the 3rd year, all kinds of work with the steering and starter, paint from around the doors, mirrors and hinges started lifting away from the metal, the rims prematurly rusted/oxidized...overall, a terrible investment of money. One more thing, I took my jeep off-roading. I wouldn't say anything close to the ads on television of Jeep's hitting the rubicon trail...just going through the mud etc. I guess what I'm trying to get at here, is if Jeep can't really handle this stuff they should try to make a better point of telling the people that. And for anyone that is in a lease right now--be careful! Chrysler inspects the vehicle pretty thoroughly. Chrysler states "any body damage larger than a credit card must be repaired".. |

Jeep Wrangler
Strength:
Looks, Chicks dig it, reflects my personality, easy to drive stick shift, easy to take off soft top, easy to put on hard top, It's a Jeep!,overall build quality is excellent!, much more but too much to list.
Weakness:
Noisy, bumpy ride, but its a Jeep! it is not made for complete comfort, Gas Miliage sux, thats about it.. i love this car.. ohh one more thing, I dont have the $$ to put all the after market acsessories on it i want! Recently i bought a 1993 Jeep Wrangler as my first car. Wow am i happy i bought a wrangler. This car is sweeeet, girls dig it, it was cheap enough for a first car, it is sporty, and best of all it reflected my character. My parents have owned Jeep Cherokee's for 10 years+, one still has 197,000+ miles on it still going strong. My wrangler has 121,000 miles and still going strong. All i can say is Jeep's are hott, really addictive, and great 4x4's. I have heard some bad things about the factory stero because of the small speakers, luckly mine was upgraded to a sony xplod cd recieevr and extra speakers, this adds to the preformance (i want a sound bar but dont have the $$ right now). My overall experience with this car and my familys experince with the Cherokees will have me going back to Jeeps for the rest of my life. This car is great at a really good price for a first time buyer. Highly recommened!!! Similar Products Used: Parents Jeep Cherokee's |

Strength:
It will go just about anywere you need, or ever want to go. You can go crazy with all the after market stuff. You can litterly build a whole jeep with all the after market parts.
Weakness:
16 to 18 MPG partly due to lift and 31 ince tires. Not real quick on the road. I bought this car new in late summer of 1996. It has the 4cyl, 5 speed & soft top. I have to say after all this time I'm still in love with my Jeep. I have had very few problems with it. It has been very reliable fun to drive. It has 91500 miles on it and still going strong. In seven years I have had to replace: one heater hose, Two Batteries, One set of Tires( 10.5 x 31 ) and one tps senser. I have had such good luck with it I talked my wife into selling her Honda Civic and getting a Jeep Liberty.p p.s. the Libby has been good so far, 3 years and 40000 miles later. Weakness:
Would like it to get better gas mileage. This is My second wrangler, My first one was a 91. All I can say is that jeep Wranglers are in a class all by themselves,There is no other SUV out there that is fun to drive on the road W/the top down or in the woods or on offroad trails then the wrangler. No matter how bad My day has been... when I get in My Jeep & drive all My troubles go away. Hands down, this is the best SUV You can buy in the U.S.A I think everyone should own a wragler at least once in ther life. Similar Products Used: Ford F 250 Ford Exporer defender 90 blazer Xterra |

squeeks, rattles, and creeks. I have been lucky to have tracked down and fixed (believe it or not) 13 different noises. My wife thinks I am obsessed!! I have owned a 94 and now own a 95, We all know..., JEEP is an ATTITUDE. I love mine and have needed to replace some worn parts but the drive train is tuff. Very dependable drive train. I will always have one and have been kicking around buying a post '97 since the front suspension has been redone. I made the "mistake" of driving a friends Sport and realized how much more refined the new models are. quieter engine, softer suspension and quieter ride. The pluses of keeping mine are many new parts, tight hard top, and best of all it's paid for... Similar Products Used: Tacoma 4x4 |

Wrangler Freedom Edition
Strength:
A lot easier to drive than my cousin's 95 Wrangler. Rides smooth as most Suvs out there.. a litle bumpy at times but i just blame it on the road!! Great car to taek fishign on the beach.. handles the sand with no problem..
Weakness:
Stereo is nothing spectacular...Soft top is a pain if you want to load cargo through the trunk (must unzip and take off).. gas mileage isnt that great but it is well worth it... I have always admired the Jeep Wrangler. Now that i recently graduated college i went to look at the local dealership for a used sport with about 20000 miles on it.. I saw the Freedom Edition wrangler with the matching fender flares and was hooked. All Black and a tinted soft top.. cant go wrong especially in the summer.. |

Jeep Wrangler Sport
Strength:
Rock solid. Goes anywhere. Not for wimps. Most recognizable.
Weakness:
Air bags (who needs 'em!?!) There really is nothing like a Jeep. I love my silver Sport more than any vehicle I've ever owned. Jeep has more character (with the exception of a Harley) than any other vehicle made. It’s a car on steroids. I hear people complain of noise, no anti-theft protection, a ruff ride and poor gas mileage. #1, a Jeep is a statement of freedom not of luxury. If the wind bothers me I turn the stereo up, and take the face with me when I get out. I enjoy the feel of the road, I am in control of the vehicle not vice versa. And to top it off I get 21 ½ mpg going to work. That’s only 2-½ mpg less than the last Japanese vehicle I owned. People who love their Jeeps know, they know... It can hardly be described, but they know. It’s a utilitarian design that goes back to World War Two. It’s a vehicle designed to be totally functional not frivolous. It’s a design that has other auto-makers imitate it in flattery and envy. It’s a curb hoppin’, puddle jumpin’, rock crawlin’, “made-it-to-work-through-a-blizzard” type of vehicle. People who complain about their Jeeps are like people who beat their dog and wonder why it bit somebody. Similar Products Used: GMC Sierra, Samurai |
