Strength:

NONE

Weakness:

You name it

Very small, agile, but can't see out the back at all, very poorly designed. Not really capable of offroading, it's an SUV Skin on a car frame.

Similar Products Used:

Nothing like it, most small SUV's are imitations, not really SUV's, just for people to go to the grocery store.

MECHANICAL NIGHTMARE....This thing has been in the shop more days than it has been on the road...everything form engine to brakes to rattles to electrical. It seems this suv is straight from Murphy's Law....What can go wrong.....DID

Thought the vehicle looked good when I bought it......kicking myself for not doing more research before the purchase...

Chevy Tahoe, Jeep Wrangler, Ford Ranger, Dodge Power Wagon (OLD). With all of the problems normally associated with 4wd vehicles, this is the first one that I've owned that has given me any problems.

Strength:

Ride quality, Handling, Acceleration, Interior amenities and or course lets not forget looks. I am sure reliability would be on this list if my car was more than 3 months old.

Weakness:

Limited visibility through rear window which is easily adjusted to within the first 2 weeks. Rear seat accessability, but who wants a car load of people anyway.

So far I have had no problems other than just getting used to such a one of a kind vehicle with one of a kind quirks. The handling on road especially on the interstates is impressive with all the power and handling to get you to your destination on time and in one piece. I would love to comment on its off-road prowess but so far have been unable to find a suitable location. Having been the owner of SUV's for the past 7 years there were no suprises with gas mileage, ride quality, etc... which is were most complaints I hear stem from. I actually believe that this SUV actually has better ride, handling, and performance than any other I have owned foriegn or domestic. For the price it is the most unique and competent vehicle on the market.

I have owned Toyota 4Runners, Isuzu Amigos, Ford Broncos, Toyota Pickups, Ford Pickups, and nothing comes close to this as an all around great vehicle.

Strength:

Awesome handling, power, and looks that will earn you envious stares every time you drive it. There is no suv out there that can look as good inside and out, and performs on and off road as this one does.

Weakness:

rear seat access is very difficult (once you get there it's roomy), no way to open the rear cargo door from the inside, my square cup holder need a square cup ( I did find a square water bottle that fits perfectly!)

My VX has been to the race track and off-roading/rock crawling. It has all been said in previous posts here....This suv was made with pride in quality and craftsmanship with our satisfaction in mind.

I have driven everything from an Explorer, Montero, Land Rover, Lexus, to and 68 GTO and VX Karmann Ghia. This VX smokes them all.... well except maybe for the GTO.

Strength:

Suspension is the best I've driven for "sportscar like" road handleing (firm) and true offroad abilities.

Weakness:

Rear visibility

Used as a daily driver. I'm always still looking for a reason to go drive it. Took it to Moab, Utah and ran it on 3+ trails to verify offroad abilities. It does as well as most semimodified vehicles. A VX with only a lift and 31" tires is used by a trail leader to LEAD several Easter Jeep Safari trails.
This vehicle is not for everybody. If it suits your needs and desires it can be one of the automobile purchases that exceedes your expectations.

89' Dodge Raider, 95' LR Discovery, 99'Montero. The VX is more an offrosd sportscar. The fun to drive quotent is the best of any other car I've had.

Strength:

Styling. A unique vehicle, it will daily have people staring and pointing. NOT for those in the Witness Relocation Program.

Incredible fun. You will look for reasons to drive it.

Interior room is stunning. Leather Recaro seating fits your body like a glove. Absolutely no fatigue even on long trips. As much or more rear-seat legroom than nearly any luxury-class sedan.

With 215hp in a less than 4000lb package....it has the power and acceleration all other SUVs can only dream about.

Handling is nimble and sure ....above and beyond anything else in its class (there is nothing else in its class!)

Out of the box, the VehiCROSS is equally as happy and capable whether on or off-road. Unlike some other SUVs which are clearly meant never to leave the safety of dry asphalt.

A true rallye-bred suspension. 18" tires give more than 8.5" ground clearance.

Frame construction is solid and indestructible. Structurally speaking, this vehicle is on par with most railroad trestles.

Weakness:

Limited visibility through rear window.....not a problem if one is accustomed to the proper use of left and right side mirrors.

Access to rear seats requires agility and a sense of humour....but never forget that its an SUV, not a family runabout.

Were I designing it...I'd add a storage bin or two in the cargo area for the odd small item or three we all seem to collect. But this is by far a minor gripe.

Never leave home without a clean buffing cloth. For some reason, this car tends to get a lot of hand and finger prints whenever left alone in public for any length of time.

This infectious vehicle will steal your heart! Think of a Hummers' much better-looking little sister....stir in the drive and handling of a fine two-seat roadster... and then add a fifth of your best 25-year old single-malt .....you'll get VehiCROSS.

With looks more like something from a Mad Max movie, you won't even make a short trip to the grocery without turning heads. Not the car for wallflowers.

If your looking for a family transporter, go buy a Ford Exploder or a minivan. Soccer Moms need not apply.

Worth every penny..and then some.

Similar Products Used:

This is a top-drawer vehicle in a class all by itself.

There is nothing with which it compares...anywhere. Not even a RAV4 plus massive quantities of steroids. Xterra's pale in comparison.

There are a lot of pretenders....but only a VX will deliver the goods.

Strength:

Style, Handling, brakes, style, seats, exclusivity, 18" chrome wheels, style, Torque on demand, not a clone of any other vehicle on the road.

Weakness:

rear visibility, rear seat access, could use some temp. and oil press. gauges

To sum it up quick - whenever I'm not driving it, I look foward to the next time I have to go somewhere. It handles, it brakes, it goes over whatever you choose to drive over, and comes back for more. When it storms here, there is no vehicle I would rather be in. I went from a high-end luxury marque to a SPORT utility (really the only SPORT utility out there) and couldn't be happier. Drive one and you'll understand.

Strength:

Handling & Suspension is superb. Draws Oohs & Ahhs everywhere it goes.

Weakness:

Old fashioned dash, no room to install goodies.

Took this puppy to Moab. Stock, ran some tough trails, did everything but stand on it's head & gargle peanut butter. Amazing performance off road with stock 18 inch wheels & tires, no lift or lockers. On Road, cruises like a sports car at 85. Nowhere and I mean nowhere will you find a SUV that can perform like this one both on & off the road.

I and have driven too many cars to list, none can compare which as it should be, given the latest technology incorporated in the VX design.

Strength:

Horsepower, TOD, body-style, comfort

Weakness:

The small rear window...but that's easily conquered with a window magnifier.

The first time I had a chance to drive the VX was on the beach,
Under a full moon, At midnight!
Talk about being at the right place at the right time! Handling, horsepower, TOD, & a CD changer too boot. The TOD performed very well on the sand.

Yes, I am slightly biased. I've driven Isuzu products since 1987, BUT I've also driven the recent & not-so-recent SUV invasion by Jeep, Ford, and Toyota. Nothing compares to the style and innovation ISUZU has created in the market. I hear it even CrAwLs thru the slick-rock of MOAB for Pete's sake.

Similar Products Used:

STILL, nothing compares! Especially at 0% financing
