It has a lot of room for every family amenity. It is a great solution to getting a mini-van.

Weakness:

The only weakness, is that there is no sun roof.

THe new Honda Pilot has to be the best car ever. I got compliments from everyone every where I go!

Strength:

Roomy, comfortable. I like the console in the front. An attractive car if it would work.

Weakness:

Headlights not strong enough. Difficult to get into rear seat.

Wish I had not purchased it. Have already had the Master Cylinder replaced. Now in dealership again, would not start. When they had it on the diagnostics it would not start but was dumping gas. They put a new computer in today, still not working. Had to rent a car, they do not do loaners. Wonder if they do fix it, will it be safe.

Have had Accords, two CRV's no problems with any of these.

Strength:

Pretty fair value compared to the competition. Interior seating can be configured numerous ways. The engine provides good power unless your benchmark is a Cayenne. The DVD system is terrific and very worthwhile for kids on roadtrips but the kids won't like the included wireless headphones. They are very uncomfortable.

Weakness:

Some minor irritants. The brakes are more "grabby" than any car I've owned, especially if they have any moisture on them. The dealer says that's typical of Hondas which I can't verify since this is my first. The driver can't operate any power window other than his own when the child lock is on. You have to turn it off to operate the passenger and rear windows and guess who else can operate them then? I've never had a car wired this way. Very dumb for a family car. There is no trip computer and no memory setting for the driver's seat. Even though the vehicle is reasonably priced, cars in this price category/top level trim should have them. And the coin holder is bogus.

We've had ours for a year and overall it's a very good family vehicle.

Strength:

ride, quiet engine

Weakness:

reliability, gas mileage, road noise from the rear

I bought this car for my family but, after 6 months, am regretting my purchase. I've been stranded on the interstate twice in that time period. The dealership has done their best to correct the problem (something electronic) but to no avail. Additionally, I was told it would get better gas mileage than it does (7mpg less). The interior is decent, the ride is fine. This was a lot of cash for a sub-par vehicle

Strength:

Handles well, looks good.

Weakness:

We are having trouble with the rear spoiler, getting caught when the you open the rear hatch. getting caught and then the hatch will not open all the way. Had it fixed 3-4 weeks ago went grocery shopping and did it again now we are back at zero again, Honda did fix it first time but had vehicle for week, with 5 children week without vehicle again is not good.

We love our Pilot, it fits our 5 children well, gas milage is good, and I love the way it looks and drives.

Strength:

Lots of space. Easy to drive. I also think that it looks good too!

Weakness:

None that I have noticed.

Just got a new Pilot this week. Absolutely love this car (no, flamer, I absolutely do not work for Honda!). Drives like a champ and the DVD entertainment system is so easy to use that my 5 year old can work it with the remote from her booster seat! We bought it as a family vehicle and that is what it will be used for so I can't speak to the SUV vs MiniVan comments, but we are more than happy with this vehicle. To the reviewer that is so sour on this vehicle: Did you not try it out before you bought it? Why did you buy it if you hate it so?

Weakness:

Nothing yet

I've been reading the reviews on this site for awhile and I'm sick of the character who keeps knocking the people who write the reviews claiming that they work for Honda. Honda's reputation stands for itself. This site is devoted to people sharing their experiences with the vehicle in question. If a person doesn't own a Pilot, they shouldn't be writing critical reviews. I own a Pilot and I'm crazy about it. It's the best midsized SUV out there. The brakes are wonderful, the interior space is amazing, and the fit and finish are fantastic. I would encourage anyone looking for a great SUV to do their homework and test drive a Pilot. It's really worth it!

Just about everything

Weakness:

Nothing as of yet

I don't know who the clown is who wrote that last review, but anyone who can visit www.edmunds.com can see that Edmunds just voted the Pilot as their number 2 pick of the best midsized SUV's. This is a great SUV and I love everything about it. The ride is smooth and it handles like a dream. For anyone considering a Pilot, read Edmunds, Car and Driver, Consumer Reports and all the other car rating magazines out there for a true look at how great the Pilot is.

Weakness:

Honda garbage

Typical Honda quality? LOL Ask Edmunds people how Pilot died on them in the middle of nowhere and had to be towed 150 miles. http://www.edmunds.com/reviews/longterm/articles/76080/page008.html This is right from Edmunds: From our perspective, Honda dropped the ball three times on this Pilot by: A. Selling a defective vehicle, and then B. Not actively and effectively notifying all Pilot customers of this potential (and major) mechanical flaw, and then C. Having a dealer (Goudy Honda) that didn't properly process the vehicle's VIN through the main Honda service system during a routine service, thus identifying the recall notice and addressing it at that time
