Strength:

Great on gas and not a problem in the city. Still peals out from a dead stop. We have put 16,000 miles on it in the last 6 mos and we own two other vehicles.

Weakness:

We have the under mount spare tire and the clearance could be higher.

Very sporty. I have the 4X4 automatic. I bought it with 32000 miles on it and it runs like new. Very comfortable. Lots of power for us. We take it up the cascades mountains from Seattle to eastern Washington. We have had great fun with the two kids we have plenty of room.

Strength:

Sexy design, nice interior, easy to read guages, no BS options, affordable, reliable, POWER,.... nice truck.

Weakness:

This is an underrated SUV which doesnt get the props and respect it ought to.

This is one of the most underrated SUVs out there. It doesnt get nearly the credit it deserves. The few people that have problems w/ the older Passports (that they bought USED) should realize there are millions of car accidents each year and the possibility of one of the used cars being one is very great, and then the car will have problems. buy something new and avoid the hassle. I've owned several vehicles in my history of 8 years of driving. My almost brand new Passport is incredible. Reliable, fun to drive, and very powerful. Like many others, I've switched to Bilstein shocks, which do help a lot w/ the ride and they even make it handle better. This truck is a true SUV. It looks like a true SUV, it drives like one, and it holds up like one (all of which can be very good qualities) I havent experienced any type of problem with my ex-l 4x2 passport. I have driven 99% of SUVs that are being sold. EVERYTHING from the Freelander (size) to an Excursion (to see what it was like and i hated it). Ive driven 5 different Rodeos and 3 different Passports. I have yet to find another SUV that has the same power, looks, and reliability. Actually, thats a lie. I thought the Infiniti QX4 (which I drove for 2 days) met my perfect expectation, but the engine sounded like sh*t. besides the QX4, I think the Passport offers the most luxury (at least in the top of the line model) for the money ($25,000).

Strength:

Looks good

Weakness:

Veers to one side or the other, steering wheel vibrates between 40 & 50 mph, no extras only has 1 cup holder

Ihave owned this piece of crap for 7 months and have paid $1900.00 in repairs, brakes rotors and calipers (two days after I bought it) on a trip to California the fuel pump went out, just under $700.00 and today was a $ 500.00 starter, and $140.00 for a window regulater. I'm going out this week to look for something new before another $500.00 repair comes up.I do think its a nice looking vehicle though.

Strength:

runs great never had a problem with it it is an outstanding suv to have

Weakness:

to many stock parts in the engine that you cannot replace.

Hello, I currently have a 2000 Honda Passport 2 wheel drive, v6 3.2 liter and it is white. When I first bought my suv, I waited until 2 weeks to add any performance upgrades onto it. the first upgrade I made was put bigger tires onto it. The stock tires were 235/70/16 then I put on 245/70/16 now I am up to 255/70/16. After that I had to put 2 neon lights inside of the suv. On the outside I have green Led winshield washer lights and on the bumper I have two piaa lights. Plus I have blue winshield wipers. After that I put blue Type R seat covers on the drivers seat and the passenger seat and also I have a 12" infiniti sub and a JVC deck. then now for the performance upgrades. I have a cold air intake, Dynomax muffler, and a computer chip I ordered from JetChip. For the computer upgrade I paid about $235.00. The Dynomax muffler added 5-10 horse power and the cold air intake added 5-10 horse power and the computer chip upgrade added 10-12 horse power and 12-14 on torque. Probely my next upgrade I am going to do would have to be to put on a 2 inch lift and some nice rims.

Strength:

Fun to drive Power Styling The Way People Look At It.

Weakness:

Some of the stock parts cannot be replaced with aftermarket goodies such as a different grill.

As a new post, I want to update my experience with this truck. More miles covered, and still I have yet to run into ONE problem.... NONE, Zero, Ziltch. I get an oil change every 3K miles, after which it feels like it can go to Alaska in 10 minutes! The truck runs great, looks great, and performs great. Some interior touches are a little lame, but I have re-done many of the interior features, such as upolstering EVERYTHING in leather, putting on a $300 wood kit, not to mention the neons, and an upgraded sound system. From the inside, you would never guess this was a 28,000 vehicle. Its got a great seating position, and feel. From the outside... boy oh boy. People take 5 looks at it because it looks so exotic...and then I get the "awesome truck". Ive convinced a few people to buy a passport or a rodeo, and the people who have thoroughly enjoy them! I also have black out light covers, blue foglight/headlight bulbs, Chrome plated rims, running boards, brush bar, tail light guards, rear spoiler, deep black windows, and a beautiful sounding MagnaFlow exhaust system with a Remis-made tip, which is 4 1/2 inch diameter chrome plated pipe. The performance, even when stock, was amazing, service quality is okay when it needs service, and everything seems to just keep working and never needing to be fixed! I have replaced 50% of the stock parts on the truck to aftermarket goodies, but when the truck was stock it was great. With a few thousand bucks thrown into it, you can turn a great truck into an amazing truck. Great exterior styling, lots of aftermarket parts for them (u can buy isuzu aftermarket parts too).
