everything works great and the third row is comfortable and so nice for my kids and easily motion sick japanese in laws. since we''re mostly city drivers this vehicle is awesome. turns great, strong pick up, holds everything and can see over most others, a real benefit in this mini van world.
Weakness:
santa barbara does not have traffic, but if it did you could just hear the cash register turning from the gas consumption. we are getting 16 mpg so far. not bad. slight finish issue where the roof fabric trim does not meet up to the door gasket on the rear passenger door but beyond that no problems. Being an American car AND costing more than twice I have ever spent on a vehicle, i was concerned, but in the two weeks we''ve had it, it has been nothing but awesome. i did get the extended warranty to hedge my 10 year bet. already twice we''ve carried 8 people 6 adults and two kids with ease. one trip being 100 miles each way so it was smooth and confortable for the haul. this is a great travel vehicle and will meet the needs of any family for daily driving and travel. Similar Products Used: toyota camry station wagon. a great vehicle but in a different class (and cost) then the Denali. |

Great towing vehicle. Nice stereo system. Luxury interior.
Weakness:
Running boards on this vehicle are not made for heavy snow or ice. I like my Denali, but I have had several service repairs. The heated seat wires melted. The side window and back doors leaked really bad. The running boards wrinkle up in the hot sun. I''ve had the bolts come out of the running boards because the snow and ice pushed them up from underneath the truck on really snowy days. The master cylinder went bad and had to be replaced. The wipers almost came off when it was raining really hard. Similar Products Used: I have owned two Tahoes before I got this vehicle. |

This SUV takes off very quick. Faster then most people would think. I am only 17 and this SUV gets me all the ladies. This truck is PIMP. The sound system is great. Everything about this truck is great!
Weakness:
It comes with not so good tires. The turning radius is big. But except for that everything else is good. I paid 47,000 for this truck and it was well worth it. I highley recomend this SUV. Similar Products Used: Cadillac Escalle is the exact same thing but $5,000 more. |

Beautiful, easy to drive, every luxury available. Nice stereo, Wheels are great looking. It is an upscale ride. Everyone has complimented its looks.
Weakness:
Cruise control is obsolete looking, needs updating. Blinker and cruise control needs separating. Should be located in the steering wheel. I think it is the best looking ride around. It better be... because I traded my Jeep for it, and I loved my Jeep, even though I will not be using it as a Jeep. I know the difference. Similar Products Used: Nothing compares. I went from a Jeep wrangler to a Yukon Denali. The Denali will be great for long distance trips. |

Strength:
It is a beautiful truck and unique. There are not a lot of them on the road and I like that. It could be that for the bang you get for the buck, most people are wary of spending that kind of money for american.
Weakness:
Probably the two things that irritate me the most are, the engineers who designed the running boards should have made them wider, so that when people open their doors into mine, they would have hit the running boards instead of the paint and clear-Kote on my door panels, which of course are also dented. The other item is the who cares attitude the delalers in general have. I find the japanese dealerships are about the same. Must be an american thing. Overall I have mixed emotions with my SUV. I have less than 40,000 miles on the truck and have owned it less than 3 years. There are some items that are very upsetting. At 36,000 miles or less, many things began falling apart. The carpeting on the tailgate has come off. The right rear passenger door has a defect in the opening and closing mechanism. This will require welding. Considering I have no kids and rarely used that door, I would guess that in less than forty openings, this issue has arisen. Inferior quality and workmanship is my guess. The air adjust (for AC) on the driver side will not stay open. When I first bought the vehicle, nobody inspected it. Beside the black marks on the front console (small, but there), a plastic piece on the luggage rack fell off as I was driving my Denali home. The best that a dealership could do was a poor paint job on a new piece. The paint job was dull and at least three shades off. Had I not had to leave my vehicle there, I would have had them redo it. I was going to change the spark plugs, but after I bought them and looked under the hood, I figure I would be lucky to complete the project in one day. The engine is running rough. I change the oil religiously, with synthetic and have checked everything else. I might be better off taking the vehicle in. I believe after this purchase, I will go back to buying japanese manufactured vehicles. My experience now is that whether it is a truck or car, the japanese have superior products. Similar Products Used: I have never owned a truck before, but when I compare the american vehicles I have owned to the imports I have owned, the japanese import quality and workmanship win hands down. I would rather buy american, but my dollar does not go as far. |

door locks get stuck, window track broke, everything about the motor has gone wrong, very bad brakes.in other words just about everything!! This car has been nothing be trouble. Something is always wrong with it. It is a pile of junk. I recomend this car to no one at all it is a total waste of money you will more than likely spend more money on parts for the car than what you paid for it!! Similar Products Used: None |

Everything about this vehicle rates as 'best qualities". The ride with the new suspension is tremendous, smooth but not mushy. The interior is plush and precise. The Bose stereo, well...awesome. This is not only the nicest vehicle I've ever owned, it's the nicest vehicle I've ever set foot in.
Weakness:
Gas mileage is a little tough to swallow. But, if it was gas mileage I was mostly concerned with, I'd have bought a Geo Metro. I would rate this as a five-star vehicle. There is absolutely nothing I would change. The changes for this year really make the difference. It has tons of power and torque with the new engine, transmission is smooth with a decent range per gear, and the new suspension is truly amazing. The fulltime all wheel drive is my wife's favorite feature (requires no forward thinking about when to shift into 4WD) and all the creature features are wonderful. We got a black one (1997 was black GT) and it turns alot of heads. This is a great vehicle, tightly built, well designed, powerful, and comfortable: A real road warrior. Similar Products Used: I sold my 1997 2-door Yukon and bought this. The '97 was a great truck and was why I went with another Yukon. The new one though really is trick. |

Fast. The sound system is loud! The Bose system will go full volume, far beond the point of pain, without ANY distorion. I added two twelve inch subs to this rig and people know when I'm coming and see me in this awesome truck.
Weakness:
Suspension rattle. Rear wiper fluid didn't work for a little while, easily fixed. The suspension is a bit too mushy. I got the car from a private seller. He had put a supercharger and an exhaust system along with an air filter. This thing rocks! It is totally fast with a 0-60 time of about seven and a half seconds. I have been driving it for over a year and it is one of the best trucks I have ever driven. I recommend this to anyone who wants an incredible sound system and an incredible ride with awesome power. Similar Products Used: To nothing else-it's above most everythiing else I've ever driven. |
