Strength:

GREAT PULLING POWER WHEN I FIRST GOT IT, PULLED A 2400 LB CAMPER, AND DIDN'T EVEN KNOW IT WAS THERE.

Weakness:

NOT SO GOOD ON GAS MILAGE, BUT I KNEW I'D BE VISITING THE GAS PUMPS MORE

NOW IT SEEMS TO BE RUNNING ON 5 CYLINDERS, AND NO ONE SEEMS TO BE ABLE TO FIX THE PROBLEM. OH YES THEY LOVE TO CHARGE YOU YA OUT THE KAZOO BUT NONE OF THE DEALERS, OR GARAGES I'VE TAKEN IT TO HERE HAVE THE SLIGHTEST IDEAL WHAT COULD MAKE IT SKIP ONLY ON ONE CYLINDER.

Strength:

Easy on the eyes. Great in Snow and just about any other road condition. Easy to Service. Lots of room. I am 6, 3" and I fit perfectly into the front, and am able to put 2 friends comfortably in the rear.

Weakness:

Front & Rear Bumper Paint rusts away. Starter sometimes screams at you. Poor ride quality. The rear tailgate window opens if you slam a door. Rust

I bought this car when I turned 16. It was $3000.00 Canadian, and my total repairs since then have only cost me about $1500.00 GREAT DEAL!!! Over-all I have had a great time with it. It is a great looking Black BEAUTY and has the mint five star rims. Like above the one major problem I have had is the bumper rusts quickly due to the fact that it is made of solid steel. Also the paint just above the front bumper peels if you go to a cheap paint-shop, i guess thats my fault. But other than that my problems are minor, like if you slam your door too hard the rear window will pop open causing some real chills when you don't realize it before your on the highway. Its a good thing the spare tire keeps the window from opening completely. Also when your not driving on a perfectely flat road you do feel every bump and crack: A REAL SUV!!!Honestly I love my car, so does almost everyone who takes a ride in it; I get offers to buy it from me almost daily. I can't express in words how easy it is to drive, and how short the turning radius is, great for malls. Great for driving in snow, Just not all that much fun when you have to stop. If your going to buy one make sure you get the ABS, with out it you may find yourself jumping a few too many snow banks!but thats no problem because its soo solidly built that nobody would ever be able to tell. Overall a great Truck I would suggest to anyone. I LOVE MY TRUCK

This blazer has some BALLS!!!!! when I put the gas peddle down IT MOVES!!!!!!! AMD I MEAN MOVES!!! the 700 R4 tranny is so cool that it shifts at about 4500 Rpms no prob!! And the vehicle looks really cool!!

Weakness:

the only thing that has ever went wrong on it was the u joint from the 4wheel drive shaft busted, but that was because I was rodding on it too much in the trails!!! and the Alternator went out but you know seeing that this vehicle is 11 years old things do go wrong!

My blazer is my baby and I will never doubt it!! it has done anything I have ever wanted it too but ONLY better!! and does it FAST when I want it too!!! when I put the peddle to the floor it goes right now!!! not waiting around time AT ALL!!!! so all you losers who hate them!!! YOU JUST NEED TO LEARN HOW TO KEEP THEM IN GOOD SHAPE!!!!!!!!

Strength:

Comfort, reliability, strength, and lots of room (for a smaller SUV).

Weakness:

Brakes and cooling system (with Dex-Cool). The dealer can service the cooling system so that it uses the green coolant instead of Dex-Cool, thus stopping the rust in the cooling system problem.

3 1/2 years later and I still love my truck. I have had some minor problems and 1 major one (fixed for free), but my Dealer has been outstanding with servicing the vehicle. It plays in the snow nicely, tows boats very well and I've had no problems with the leather interior.

Good Looks. Price.

Weakness:

Brakes. Rattles.

Squeaky-ass brakes. Mechanic says pads are 60% good. Cleaned but still sqeals unmerifully. Bought used @ 81k. 1st cold weather Check Engine light came on. Mech. found 8 codes. Replaced 2 oxygen sensors. Cam sensor had blown fuse- seemed to fix Check Engine light problem. Idles a little rough still. Still like the vehicle though. Maybe I'm a fool?

Strength:

Looks good.

Weakness:

Purchased at 31000 miles. Was a program car. Not permitted to buy extended warranty. Changed oil and checked fluids every 3000 to 4000 miles. Transmission blew out at 51000 while on vacation. Chevrolet and GM both refuse to help at all. From reading many of the other reviews, I am certainly not alone. Service manager said that most of their transmission failures were with program cars with 50000 to 60000 miles. Get this - new transmission has 50000 mile warranty while new car only has 36000. Have exhausted all normal avenues of appeal for help. Am seeking legal assistance. Sounds like there are many in the same boat.

Whats to review. This vehicle is a piece of junk that GM refuses time and time again to make good. I will never again even look at a GM product.

Strength:

4 wheel drive, small wheel base, 31' tires fit on it, lot's of power

Weakness:

Low rear window visibility (fixed by removing the spare tire rack), likes to roll on turns (fixed with polyurithane bushings)

I started to read the reviews on this page and it made me sick. Most of these problems that were previously stated could easily be fixed but most of you insisted on having a GM shop look at it. Duh, think about it, if you have someone who is constantly asking you to fix something that is so trivial, you start to mess with them to get back for wasting your time. And I know that this holds true to other companies. Besides there are too many "soccer moms" driving suv's nowdays. Buy a van. 95 percent of suv's nowdays don't even touch a gravel road, then why buy it? I am in the 5 percent and use my vehical for off-roading, hunting, and work. I am very pleased with my vehical and will hope if you buy this vehical that you use it for the purpose that it was intended for, 4x4. If not I hope gas raises to 4 dollars a gallon and teach those city people not to drive the gas guzzelers in town. Just common sense.

Strength:

Dependable, never a problem.

Weakness:

Squeaks, back of the truck?? That's it. It has been a very good vehicle.

Dependable, smooth ride, handles well, no major repair bills. One bad thing - the squeak. I believe it is because of the tire, which is mounted on the rear of the vehicle. Still, I love my Blazer, but I hate the squeak. Few Blazers now come with the rear mounted tire.

Pontiac - everything went wrong with it. Cougar - problems all the time. Mustang - compared about the same (no squeaks).

Strength:

Well I think the best strengths of this SUV is the back tinted windows... I olso love the feel of a car, but yet the best look of a nice SUV.....

Weakness:

Weaknesses? Well when I first bought it, the rear right tire made a weird noise, I took it off, dusted the brakes, and all of the sudden the noise was gone... Which I think was great... Other than that, Its great...

Well I think that this car is just great, Its dark read with running boards and alloys.... It also has a CD changer, and key-less entry, and remote start with alarm... I also love the interior of it, its nice and roomy but yet nice and comfortable that you know where everything is at... I had a question, is there a way I can attach a 3rd row seat? If you do know please e-mail me at young_1_chicago@hotmail.com

What else can I say? Ok about all this bull cr@p about how this car sucks? Its only obvious that if the car is used its going to need some maintance... And its only fair for you to trade the car back in... And get a car rather than an SUV, I dont think you are tied down, if you dont like the truck then dont keep it, its that easy... I just love my truck... Its nice and small.. and has a nice ass.....
