Strength:

Outside looks good, roomy, horse power is great, money wasn''t too bad for an SUV.

Weakness:

Chevy knew there were problems with the blazer but had too many factors involved to fix the problem through the recall. Did not stand behind product!

This truck has plenty of horsepower and has been okay to own however the egr valve has been replaced several times and because at the time of recall our blazer had met the millage max-which didn''t have problems before the 75,000 miles. The windshield wipers were recalled along with something involving the seats. Plastic interior is breaking already! I will think twice before purchasing a new version of a car!

Weakness:

small squeaks now and then. however if you get your truck oild this problem is solved

This is a solid truck. it goes through everything, and does it with style. I read some of the other reviews and those guys must be smoking something, because this truck is solid. I have a 4.3L engine which is slightly tweaked and it seems to never run out of power and not to mention torgue

Power 4.3l v6 262 cpi engine puts out 200 horses and 260ft lb of torquein. With K&n cold air kit and tornado it prob puts out 210- 215.Installed bilstein shocks truck handles and drives as smooth as silk.Good veiw of the road, comfortable bucket seats, remote oil filter makes for a quick and easy oil change.very good heater and ac system.fold down back seat for extra storage.

Weakness:

if it only had the new 270hp I6 engine!

These people with these doomed blazers have to be planting these bad reviews purposely because thats unheard of 8 fuel pumps before they could fix the problem.Ive had my cpi unit and pump repaired once at 100000 miles and im going on strong now at 140.Blazer rule!

YOU NAME IT.......DEATH TRAP!!!

I CAN believe what I am reading!!! I HATE this BLAZER!! I have almost died in it 7 times. I tried to use the Lemon Law but was one month two late....I wish I could drive this off a cliff. I have had 8 fuel pumps, oh but between the eight fuel pumps I some how had to pay for other things that could be causing the problem...like a fuel filter or battery...give me a break! This car is a DEATH TRAP and should be avoided at all cost. If you see one on the road move away from it. You never know when it might shut off while driving or lock up on you. I''ve been there and I know it happens. I''ve been towed 10 times! I am on a smart buy (dumb buy) and this month it is up. I have to return it and pay for damages that occured while in ownership of the Blazer. Which will total a large sum...including ovarage mile of $4,000. I have to pay for the front bumper, broken driver side seat handle (fell off), chipping paint, and many many other things. By the time I finish with this HUNK OF JUNK I could of had a nice BMW or LEXUS! I will NEVER buy another GM for as long as I live. I am VERY LUCKY to be ALIVE!!!!

13 MPG BUT HEY WHO CARES ITS WORTH IT. PEOPLE TRYING TO STEAL IT. RED INTERIOR :(

AFTER READING EVERY REVIEW HERE, I AM STARTING TO BELIEVE THAT I HAVE THE BEST TRUCK IN THE WORLD. I BOUGHT MY RED 1993 K5 BLASER SPORT 2 1/2 YEARS AGO FOR $10,000. THIS TRUCK WILL DRIVE THROUGH A BRICK WALL AND DO IT IN STYLE. I HAVE UPROOTED TREES LARGER THAN MOST COMPACT CARS WITH ITS 5.7 LITRE V-8. I CAN GO THROUGH ANY AMOUNT OF MUD AND WATER NO PROBLEM AND I CAN GIVE HER A WASH AND PEOPLE MISTAKE HER FOR A BRAND NEW TAHOE SPORT!! EVERYWHERE I GO PEOPLE WANT TO BUY HER. I HAVE HAD OFFERS OF OVER $14,000 FOR HER, AND SHE HAS 196,000 MILES!! SHE RUNS LIKE A CHAMP AND LOOKS BRAND NEW. THE ONLY PROBLEMS I HAVE HAD HAVE BEEN DUE TO A PERFORMANCE CHIP THAT WAS INSTALLED BY A FORMER OWNER. THIS CHIP MALFUNCTIONED AND CAUSED MY OVERDRIVE TO BURN UP AND COSTING ME A NEW TRANI. THE ORIGINAL PAINT STILL LOOKS AMAZING. THE ENGIRE STILL ROARS TO LIFE EVERYTIME I START UP, AND UNTIL THE REMOVAL OF THE PERFORMANCE CHIP SHE WOULD CRUISE AT SPEEDS UP TO 115MPH, NO SHAKING. I WISH EVERYONE HAD THE PRIVILEDGE OF OWNING THIS QUALITY OF CAR/BEAST. ONLOOKERS BOTH FEAR AND ADORE MY HUGE BEAUTIFUL BEAST( I HAVE 285 R16 A/T''S ON HER). IF I COULD FIND 10 JUST LIKE HER I WOULD BUY EVERY SINGLE ONE.

Strength:

Lots of power and options. One of the best looking SUV''s out there!

Weakness:

Plastic interior. Big improvement on the 98'' and newer interiors.

I bought this vehicle used in Sept 1999 with 49000 miles on it. The previous owner took care of the outsidelooks real well, but didn''t take care of any of the maintence that the Blazer requieres, except the oil changes. Of course I discover this after buying the thing. To my surprise, I have had little trouble with it, except getting it caught up on basic maintence, and I am quickly approaching 75k. I hear no rattling when driving and the 4.3 has plenty of power. I''m sure I''ll have to nickle and dime it pretty soon, but that should be expected with any American made SUV approaching 100k. I''m looking forward to stepping into the new Trailblazer.

Everything under the hood.

What a piece of crap! By far the worst Chevy ever made. My entire family only drives Chevrolet Trucks and we can all say this is the worst one ever made. I bought it new and have had nothing but trouble from the beginning. I don''t even drive the thing anymore but I can''t sell it because the Service Engine light keeps coming on. I have so much money in that car now, I''m just going to let it rot in my garage. We take it for a ride once a week just to keep it running and the computer brain just went out. Needless to say, I''ll never buy a Blazer again.

Strength:

Great Design, not to big, not to small Fuel milage. If you are shopping for an SUV, you should buy a new TrailBlazer.

Weakness:

Bad design of the endgate

I have had this SUV for 3 years now and have never have any major problems for this vehicle. The one problem is that there is some rattling inside, but can only be heard when driving in rough roads. Another is that the mirrors should be made stronger because the passanger side mirror broke off and the driver side mirror is still hanging on by a few screws. The sound system is great and also the gas milage when compared to simmilar SUVs. The only thing I hate about the design is that the rear tailgate should have been a liftgate and liftglass and not a two piece tailgate and liftglass, because it is hard for short people to reach into the back cargo area. Overall I like this SUV a lot and is looking forward in buying the new TrailBlazer.
