Its beautiful, fun, and great in the winter. 4 wheel drive is great.
Weakness:
100,000 miles- thats terrible This blazer is sweet! 2 door and silver. I love it. Fully loaded- decked out- The best blazer i have seen on the road! I love the style and everything about it. It does great in the winter and gets me through alot of tough spots. This blazer has just rolled over 100,00 miles- thats the only bad thing. The only thing I have replaced is the alternator. What can you say, i have a great truck! Similar Products Used: none |

i like my truck and it goes good in snow
Weakness:
DO NOT BELIVE DEALERS AND ALWAYS GET SECOND OPINION i have to say there is a lot of proublems with this truck.i found there was a warning about the upper ball joints seperating so i went to the dealer and told them i wanted to have them fixed before they went out i have kids in this car and the need to do something so they replaced them free then the gas guage was stoping at one half mark so i went to dealer again they said seven hundred dollars to replace the mod it was not the mod it is the fuel level senser it was 90$ for the part and a small shop put it in for 65$ then my transmittion was slaming into gear when it shifted they wanted a thousand dollars to epair it it turned out to be just a selinoid in the transmittion and costed 110$ the way i found out was to unhook the battery for a minuet to reset the computer then it stoped for a while then started so i replaced it. the only other lesson i learned is not to park outside the garage when my girlfriend is backing out because she does not look and you learn to do body wook then |

Everything! Wow! Where do I start. Well I have one word to describe this car.....crap! It raddles, horrable gas milage, engine sounds like a dog getting beat with a stick. The engine went at 5000 miles, chevy replaced it. Went to change radio station and car stalled out...chevy said it was some kind of short. JUST DON'T buy one! |

Chevrolet Blazer LT 4WD
Strength:
Price, Looks, Power, Reliability, Repairs relatively inexpensive when required.
Weakness:
96 models and earlier had insufficient braking power. Not terribly easy to service. Have had this vehicle for 5 1/2 years now. Regular maintanance has always been done, I use synthetic oil and change it every 5K mi. I,ve had a few problems such as rapid brake wear at one point (pads only lasting 6K mi.) however upgraded to a premium pad which solved the problem (now have 40K mi. on these pads)water pump required replacement at 75K, EGR valve at 90K, oil cooler line to filter started seeping at 100K so I replaced it to prevent catastrophic failure. This truck performs very well in the Florida sand, and once in Tennessee ice, however I would recommend a 2WD unless you absolutely need 4WD, its cheaper to drive & maintain. Overall I feel the vehicle has been very reliable, even when I've had problems its never left me stranded. It still looks & drives great! Similar Products Used: 85 Blazer S, 84 Nissan 4x4 |

Strength:
Good power, beautiful and strong.
Weakness:
A lot of rattles and drafty I love this SUV! I bought it with over 48,000 miles on it. The interior and exterior are flawless. I change the fluids very regularly and maintain it. at's it. It rides great, absolutely no squeaks. The steering is as tight as it probably was when I bought it in 95 and the ABS works great. I have only had to replace the fuel injection and catalytic converter once. I have had it for four years and have spent about 1,500.00 in repairs. It has 106,900 miles and it still going strong. Maybe I am lucky but I love my blazer. I will be taking it to my mechanic to check it out thoroughly and would like to keep it for as long as I can. |

Chevrolet Blazer S-10 LS
Strength:
Nice design, decent fuel mileage for a V-6, reliable for nearly 8 years now. I have the rare Metallic Purple finish that really turns heads - it looks sharp with the Michellin XW4 tires (which are no bargain) and the Chevy "bowtie" mudflaps.
Weakness:
I have a factory CD player in my Blazer. Why did the engineers keep the casette holder box between my seats? Lots of door rattles. I factory ordered my Blazer in February 1995, just as the new body style was catching on. I've babied the heck out of this truck. Now that it has turned 100,000 miles, I've had to put some money into it, aside from routine maintenance. Those of you who have high mileage Blazers, get ready to replace the ERG valve, as well as a part in the Vortec V-6 known as the "spider". The latter runs over $500 for the part, and is labor intensive to install. Teltale signs of malfunction are rough idling, surging, loss of braking, stalling, etc. Similar Products Used: Suzuki Samurai 4X4 - only for the young and dumb! |

THERE ARE NONE My blazer is off the hook. when i bought it, it was a regular 2 door blazer. It had the step up bars and a wood grain dash. I took off the step ups and put on a complete body kit.The front is all custom .it is a xenon bumper cover with all custom grill. the sides and the back are the same as the extreme but the front by it self makes all trucks look like crap Similar Products Used: NOTHING EVERY THING ELSE IN THE SUV CLASS IS WACK |

Strength:
4-wheel drive. Stylish looks. Reliable, cuz I do not beat up on it. It was only $25,000 new!! That's including tax, and license.
Weakness:
Maintenance: Here's what I have done..76,000 miles.. oil lines from engine to oil filter, and from oil filter to radiator had to be replaced, hard to get to, had dealer do it for $300. 76,000 miles.. power steering fluid pump $500!. Neeeded a new battery at 65,000 miles. Send unit in gas tank says it never goes below 1/2 tank...$700.00 to fix...I use the trip-ometer. Wiper control just went wack..ordered an after market from a1-auto for $37.95...easy to install. 50,000 replaced the DexCool with prestone, had the flaky build up that clogged the heater core, but not the gooey stuff. Yes, it has a lot of maintenance, and it is hard to work on, but it's a truck, and it rocks. Ordered it new. 77,000 miles on it now. This truck rocks. I take it everywhere. With 4-studded snow tires, I pass everyone on the way to the ski slopes. Can't even tell you are on ice. These trucks get a lot of bad reviews, so here is a pretty good one. Remember there are literally millions of them on the roads. Bad news travels much faster. |

Rattles, way too top heavy, nickle and dimes a person to death! Since owning this vehicle, which has 63,000 miles on it now, we have had all the regular service done. Knock on wood, but at this time, we have had to pay for a new AC compressor and today was told that there is a leak in the rear pinion seal. That repair, along with the service charges, is costing me about $700. I am more than ready to trade this vehicle in on a Toyota or a Honda. Before something really major happens and I am out thousands of dollars instead of just the hundreds so far. Anyone buying a Chevy Blazer should definately get the extended warranty and sell as soon as the warranty expires. We have put in way too much money in this vehicle. DONT BUY THIS CAR!!!!!!!!
