Ford Mustang (2010 and older) Sports

Ford Mustang (2010 and older) Sports

DESCRIPTION

The Mustang has been redesigned for 2010. Fresh new sheet metal wraps around an updated interior, giving the icon a more modern look and feel.

The Mustang is available either as a coupe or convertible. Each is available with a V6 or a V8. The 210-hp 4.0L V6 carries over unchanged. The 4.6L V8 receives an increase in power - producing 315-hp for 2010. A five-speed manual transmission is standard; a five-speed automatic is optional. All Mustangs are equipped with standard electronic stability control and LED sequential tail lamps for enhanced safety.

Model Reviewed: mustang gt

Strength:

power, power, and more power, reliability, style, sound system

Weakness:

the live rear suspension can seem at little rough

I've always wanted a mustang gt. I love this car. It's got power to spare and you can kill all those rice burning parking lot racers. And for those that say it only has 215 hp, that's taken at the wheels. Do the conversion and you've got 260 at the flywheel which is where gm takes theirs. This car handles great. I've had no problems on slick wet surfaces. This is the best car I've ever owned. Spend the extra couple thousand and get the gt, it's worth it.

Strength:

nice look, speed (some, haha)

Weakness:

very little room, ball joints, paint chipping.

I always wanted a Mustang, but now, i don't think I'll ever own another one. They look nice, but it seems that there was constantly a problem. I had several problems with the radiator, as well as exterior keepup. The ball joints broke several times on mine, within the matter of a couple of months.

Model Reviewed: Mustang V6 Coupe

Strength:

V6 is strong (rated at 193hp), it's a beefy engine, mean sounding even for a v6. and the 5-speed tranny is mostly bulletproof, well matched powertrain. great looks, girls love it, a LOT less cop attention than i expected, of course, mustangs are just about dime-a-dozen around here, not bad in the rain, just go easy on the GO-pedal and the back end won't complain, of course unless you want it to... :D great brakes too.

Weakness:

relatively low redline, although, it pulls very hard up to it.. handling isn't bad, but could be vastly improved, has a lot of body roll in turns. stock tires have poor wear characteristics, wear mostly on the outer edge...but this could be fixed with some suspension replacement. has had a few minor things break that i've had to get fixed under warranty, 1st-power window motor burns out, 2nd-mass air sensor goes bad. both were fixed quickly though.

i've had this car for around 11 months now, it's typical ford, quality wise, nothing to complain about for the price i paid, there's nothing in the range to compete, i get crap from people about not getting the V8, i tell em to pay my insurance lol. i'd suggest it to anyone who's looking for near-V8 performance for under 20 grand, and doesn't want to pay the insurance.

Model Reviewed: Chevy S10

Strength:

Engine was anemic in terms of power, but it ran well.

Weakness:

Major drivetrain problems, Incompetent service.

This truck is a POS. This truck defines POS like no other truck does. I bought this truck new in 1998. After a week, the transmission started leaking fluid, and only got worse after American Chevrolet's mechanics fixed it. It took them three times to get it right. The rear axle pinion seal started leaking not too long afterword. After American Chevrolet "fixed" it, the rear axle seized up. Just when the warranty was going to expire, I started having hydralic clutch problems. I made up my mind then and there to unload this lemon. I will NEVER buy another Chevy or GM product again as a result

Model Reviewed: Ford Mustang

Strength:

Excellent engine, classic style, good handling, excelllent acceleration for a V6

Weakness:

Brakes sometimes can be noisy.

Best car I ever owned! I have over 180,000 miles on it. The only significant repairs required were brake replacement, shock absorbers, and replacement of the multi-function switch. The 3.8L engine still runs like new! I intend to drive this car until the wheels fall off.

Model Reviewed: Mazda Miata MX5

Strength:

exquisite handling. Very reliable. Car has 55K on it, no repairs needed whatsoever other than brake pads, etc. Quite possibly the best handling car ever out of the box.

Weakness:

Not enough power. 0-60 time for a production model is a measly 8 seconds, and redline is at 7500. Lousy and no fun on the interstate, great on back roads. MazdaSpeed is producing a Miata (MPS Roadster) that churns out 200 hp on a 2.0 litre DOHC four, but it is iffy if this rocket will make it to the US. They are crazy if they don't, as the lack of power will cause this car to be labled as "wuss", even though it is one of the best cars ever built. Get off you arse, Mazda, and give us more zoom-zoom

The Miata is the best handling car I have ever seen straight from the Hiroshima factory. Tuned it is even better as witnessed by its all-time slalom record posted by the Racing Beat's Miata that skunked Vettes, Porsches, and all other other comers. That and impeccable reliability make it a 60s Brit style ragster without the leaks and Lucas electrics that go out while you are night driving. If you love the Miata, you are doing yourself a disservice if you do not upgrade the engine and exhaust with aftermarket performance parts. Just adding cold air intake, racing headers, and performance exhaust raised HP at the rear wheels by 25-30. Oversize alloy wheels and Nittos were ditto, as was a slotted/crossdrilled rotor set from Moss. All it needs is a JR supercharger or a Flyin'Miata upgrade and nothing can touch it.

Nice handeling (dry roads) Good power for a v6, remember i have 5 speed Beatiful Car! Babe and Police magent :/

Weakness:

Wet weather traction When i go on bumpy roads the A pillars make funny noises, probably normal for a convertible though!

The mustang is an amazing vehicle. I have a 2000 Mustang v6 Convertible 5 speed and its really really nice. I havent had any problems with it. It has 44k miles. AMAZING handeling and good power for a v6. Only complaint is it has horrible traction in rain. I would highly recommend it! :)

Strength:

Everything.

Weakness:

People don't give them enough credit for what they are now.

This is simply the best car I've ever driven and I've driven Asian cars in the past. This car has everything, looks, all the power you could need, reliability, and a legend behind it. BS to anyone who says they've beaten a GT or higher from a dead stop! No matter what anyone says, Ford makes the best cars (especially the mustang) People keep driving around in their annoying little, cheap ass rice rockets...and people say American cars are slow? Yeah, think again. The mustang is one of the best sports cars.

Strength:

Everything. Looks. Engine. Driver friendliness.

Weakness:

Insurance costs (inevitable)

Fark! This car is without doubt a spanker, and the sound...yeh, big v8 humming. The ride is beautiful, the car takes about one hour to feel fully comfortable with, handles perfectly, is relatively safe (excluding the fuel tank in the back) and best of all, the rice burners don't even try. Oh i love this car, i've never had a sports car before so its all relatively new to me, but i love this car. I recommend one to anybody, just do yourself a favour and buy yourself a clean used vehicle, the best way to do so is to get the most competitive prices from the net. I found mine for below blue book value, well taken care of, etc. just in a bad mustang market where there weren't any takers. BTW, the guy who sold it to me was an absolute champion, he was meticulous and really treated the car well. Anyway, I love this car and it has a huge fan following. Anyone that proclaims that their particular type of vehicle can beat the mustang hasn't driven against somebody who has known what they were doing. If you want to see the raw power of the mustang, get the program "Kazaa" and type "Mustang Wheelie" under video search. The proof that mustangs are absolutely the shiz is right there.
