DESCRIPTION

The Mustang has been redesigned for 2010. Fresh new sheet metal wraps around an updated interior, giving the icon a more modern look and feel.

The Mustang is available either as a coupe or convertible. Each is available with a V6 or a V8. The 210-hp 4.0L V6 carries over unchanged. The 4.6L V8 receives an increase in power - producing 315-hp for 2010. A five-speed manual transmission is standard; a five-speed automatic is optional. Strength:

the 89 is the strongest engine that ford ever put in a gt. The power is awesome. I still smoke off new camaros and all these foriegn cars.I love the sound of that 5.0 ratlling.

Weakness:

Head lights tend to get dirty after a while which causes night visibility to go down.

i got it brand new at a dealer here in 89. it cost 22,000 bucks but after a little talking to the dealer i got it down to 14,000 bucks. Thats a real good deal for a car that can still beat the crap out of the newest camaros. All they do is piss me off.

Strength:

What's not to like? Great power, easily driveable, easy to operate top which never leaks and is quiet on the highway. Excellent handling, much better than a comparable chevy. Looks better than enything on the road as well.

Weakness:

Poor gas mileage, driveshaft vibration still being troubleshooted.

I'd recommend this vehicle to anyone seeking a fun, all weather driver. Despite it being a convertible, I use it all the time and don't have any issues with it. The engine has two different personalities, below 3500 rpm and above it. In town, it's docile below - but rev it up and the car takes off. Very fun.

Engine fix for all 99 Cobras took only a day and the car runs noticeably stronger. Vibration of driveshaft is a common problem with the Independent Rear Suspension and comes online at 2000-2500 RPM in fifth. Ford is aware of the problem and has fixed most cars quite successfully, it might just take a little trial and error. Still, mechanically the car is sound and is a great deal if you can find one.

Strength:

What's not to like? Outstanding POWER! Great sound. Head turner. Makes you feel like a professional race driver.

Weakness:

Corners cut by Ford to save cost. (Example..Strut Tower Brace, center clock console, etc.)

I would recommend this car to anyone who wants to drive a REAL car. This car has all the power you need in a street car. Easy to upgrade if you feel the need. I've put on lowering springs which increased handling 100%. An off-road X pipe adds much sound and take away 6 factory cats. This car now says "Go ahead...wanna try??" A bit pricy but worth the $ if you can fork it out. If you see a 99 Cobra just laugh because you know they got screwed on the HP!!

Strength:

Dependability, power, smooth ride, fuel economy. Great sounding engine!

Weakness:

The backseats are really small but I don't use them...winter!!!!!!!!

This is a pretty awsome car.
You'll have alot of fun, turn some heads, make new friends just like that and in he middle make alot cars eat your dust...
The horsepower its always easy to pick it up a little bit more. If you want a car where you can "tweak" a little bit for fun, the Pony car is the one. The engine loves to rev, and sound great! The Cobra is a little more exclusive and woth the extra price!

Strength:

The new Mustang delivers power, acceleration without sacrificing drivability or convenience. The new body design which features classic styling cues from 60's Mustangs makes for a really fun car.

Weakness:

The back seat is basically useless. The trunk space is hard to utilize to to the awkward trunk opening and the shallowness of the trunk.

I purchsed a fully loaded 2000 Mustang GT over a month ago. It has features such as the Mach 460 sounbd system, leather seating, power everything, cruise control, and traction control. The MSRP is approximately 24k. I also happened to get a the Millenium Feature Car package which is a carry over form the 1999 35th Aniversarry Model. The package includeds machined 17" wheels, decorative hoodscoop and side scoops, and black GT hood stripes on special Zinc Yellow paint. The car is much better than I expected. The 260 hp of thr 4.6 is a long overdue boost for the new Mustangs. The rev happy engine is excellent for daily driving, but is an entirely different animal when you downshift and want to have some fun. The traction control makes driving in wet or slippery conditions better, however it takes a moment or two for the system to detect the slipage. Steering and pedal feel is nice, however braking could be better. The car's handeling is well suited for everyday driving. Taking corners at high speeds takes some getting use to.....the car actaully handles much better in turns under throttle, coasting through corners or curves creates a floating feeling. The interior in the 99+ Mustang is larger than older models and the seating is comfortable. I prefered the Mustangs driver positon and rideheight over that of its GM counterparts. Visibility is muxh better than the GM cars as well. All in all, I am very happy with the 2000 Mustang GT> Great looks, great performance, and great drivablility.

Camaro Z28, Firebird...The Mustang GT is a more practicle car compared to its GM counterparts. Driver position isn't as awkward and visibility is much better. The Horsepower increase of the new Mustang narrows the performance gap tremendously.

Strength:

It roars and runs strong, the 5.0 in my opinion is worth soo more then the newer 4.6 engines, and with the modifications avaiable for the 5.0, I'd go older then newer at this point. This car also attracts a lot of attention, some good and some bad, but most of the ladies love mustangs.

Weakness:

The stock stereo really hurts the car, it has no power at all, thats something you'll have to replace, I have the 16 inch wheels, I think the 17 inch wheels because they have more traction.

I only paid 9,000 for mine would minimal work needed be done to keep it running, just the normal oil change, tires changed, brakes changed, new rotor, but besides that it was a great deal and you would never believe i only paid 9K for the way the car looks after washing it almost every 4 days.

the handling is great, gets alot of attention

Weakness:

could have more stock power but i took care of that with a supercharger. that's all i have to say thats bad about this car

i paid $8,000 for this awsome car which i have only had to replace the water pump and that's it. that's what you get when you take care of your stang. FORD all the way. i love my 95 ford mustang which i added a wing and a supercharger for that extra power which comes in handy. this car does not handle that great when its raining but its fun to drive in the rain also. i aslo added a bra tail light covers headlight covers and catback exhaust system.this car has NEVER let me down always got me where i want to go never broke down anywhere. this car has been to south carilina and back 7 times and never had a problem with my pony runs like a champ. i would recommend this car to that person who likes an all american sports car and doesnt want to be let down or sitting on the side of the road.

Everything, the body, the interior, the sound, the grip, and the features.

Weakness:

The only thing i dont like about it is that its so beautiful that you need to clean it everyday. Its just that you have to, especially with Silver Color.

we paid about $24,000 the only thing we didnt get was the 17" wheels and the Engine Block Illumintator or whatever it is,. Would i recommend it do you ask?????? Hellz Yeah!!! Its a fun car to drive. Their are cars better then it but for what you pay its worth it, and its nice and light to so you accelerate fast.

Strength:

Lots of power, great looks, electric green paint is one the the best stock colors around and decent options group on the LX

Weakness:

15 wheels and tires must go. Cup holders and other interior parts are not well thought out as the rest of the car.

A really nice car for the price. If it holds up it will be in the family for many years. I think Ford builds a decent product my 94 Ranger has been trouble free and think some reliability problems with the mustang are caused by hard driving.
