Ford Mustang (2010 and older) Sports

DESCRIPTION

The Mustang has been redesigned for 2010. Fresh new sheet metal wraps around an updated interior, giving the icon a more modern look and feel.

The Mustang is available either as a coupe or convertible. Each is available with a V6 or a V8. The 210-hp 4.0L V6 carries over unchanged. The 4.6L V8 receives an increase in power - producing 315-hp for 2010. A five-speed manual transmission is standard; a five-speed automatic is optional. All Mustangs are equipped with standard electronic stability control and LED sequential tail lamps for enhanced safety.

My car is just as fast as my dads CamaroSS, and just to set things straight GTPs are slow I just destryed one 2 nights ago.

Weakness:

The backseat is crap, but I'll never sit there anyways

If I were to buy another car, YES it would definatly be another Mustang GT, maybe even a Cobra the things handle great and they are chick magnets!!

head turned
Does Fat smoke shows

Weakness:

heats up pretty Fast
Ugly luvars
Needs a 3 core rad.
gas pig

I Highly recomend this car ( Only if gas goes down a bit )I have only lost one race with it in the 2 years I have had it, a 92 Mustang Cobra with a supercharger and a 20lb nitrous system. He didn't beat me by much, but he still beat me. If your looking for a fast car that dosn't give up.. go with the 69 Moch 1.

I have raced in both a 67 Camaro, and a 70 Chevelle 454, and My car seems to be more powerful, I have almost nothing stock on it, but still.

Strength:

Very Reliable so far...Powerful acceleration, 5.0 Liter engine, Flashy clearcoat paint, Overall handling, It's EXTREMELY easy to upgrade..Plenty of after-market products, easy to add horsepower-

Weakness:

Fair turning radius, body sometimes creaks during hard corniering...

I got a VERY good deal...$10,000...with only 36,000 miles. I would recommend this purchase for the 94-95 GT', but be sure to check vital statistics and engine condition when test driving it.
Overall, it performs and handles well, and I (or the car) get plenty of heads turning. Its a very personable car with a lot of history and a whole lot of power.

Strength:

Reliable. No problems until 115,000 miles (except for self inflicted problems).

Weakness:

The Carter/Weber carburetor is the worst carb since the 1950's. Power steering unit leaks slowly. Windshield washer pump is weak.

This engine can take a beating. I overheated it once by letting the water get too low during a hot summer, but it runs forever, and after 120,000 miles I lost a timing belt without any damage to the valve-train (no bent valves)! I just replaced the belt, re-timed her, and was done. Other than that, I lose little oil, no water, but I do lose some power steering fluid slowly.

Similar Products Used:

Many Mustangs, Probe, Taurus, Camaro.

Strength:

This car is fast. If you want the best bang for your buck buy a mustang 5.0. I only paid $3500 for an adult driven stock car, and the best part is that there are so many mustangs out there. I have not even modified my car and it will take lots of cars on the street. The engine is durable besides for those pesky rear main seal and oil pan leaks. If you want to modify the car its the cheapest car to do it to. I am planning minor mods because i still want to retain gas milage and streetability.

Weakness:

Noise! The interior rattles alot which you just have to get used to. The oil leaks are a pain in the ass but are not threatening. The car will get you in lots of trouble, especially if you are young. The hatch will go after a short amount of time as a result of clogged drain plugs, plan on body work and new paint on this old of a car.

For the money this car will whoop major ass. Try to find another car that cheap that can beat it, you won't. If you want a fast car that you can make really fast for really cheap, buy this car and whoop some gm ass.

Strength:

Strengths? Too many to list..
1) Awesome power that is also an excellent daily driver.
2) Looks - people will stop and stare.
3) Rock solid reliablity. My car is 2 years old with 70,000 miles on it.
4) Smooth - very nice ride.
5) Great build quality - used to drive a 94 Civic DX. I was so close to getting a Civic Si, but it wasn't good enough for me. I really was so close to getting another Honda, but Honda doesn't know how to make a car like the Mustang. Affordable and powerful. Oil and water for most Honda and most imports in general.

Weakness:

Absolutely none!!!

I got a great deal on my GT - $21,000 flat. I would recommend it whole heartly! In fact, I have so much confidence in this car that I'm going to eventually trade in for a top of the line Cobra.

Strength:

Very dependable. Hatchback is versatile. Good, strong motor! Even after 150,000 miles, it can literally burn the tires off of the rim. Does 14's with no modifications.

Weakness:

Body flex, bump steer, crappy shifter, scary brakes, wind noise at higher speeds.

For what I paid for my car, I couldn't replicate the same level of performance. I can outpull many costlier cars such as BMW's, Mercedes and mostly any stock rice burner. It can decidedly keep up with traffic. There is a higher percentage of slower cars than faster cars (in relation to my 5.0) on my daily commute to work and everybody wants to test themselves against a 5.0.

Similar Products Used:

94 GT,97 Formula, 99 Vette, 2000 WS6. The GM cars are quicker, however they are pricey. The GM F-bodies are tight and cramped and are built aound the engine. The Mustang was designed around the interior. I have a lot more usable space.

Strength:

-Very reliable
-cheap on gas
-Loads of fun to drive
-Some say bad winter car, I say exciting winter car! Driving this car in the winter has made me a better driver. I've learned many techniques that you couldn't with fwd. And as soon as you get on Canadian ice and snow, a 4cyl will handle and go just as fast as a V8.

Weakness:

-Not much power, but that's what you get; I've recorded 45mpg on the highway!

I bought this car as my first car in 1993 for $3000 Canadian. In those 7 years, I spent maybe $700 on repairs, that is being generous. Plates cost me $700/year, and I don't spend more than $400/year on gas (though that's going up) I started driving this car to high school as a student, and I still do, but as a teacher! It has been an ideal first car, and although I'm making nore money now, I can't give it up. I would recommend this car, and hope your luck is as good as mine.
