DESCRIPTION

The Mustang has been redesigned for 2010. Fresh new sheet metal wraps around an updated interior, giving the icon a more modern look and feel.

The Mustang is available either as a coupe or convertible. Each is available with a V6 or a V8. The 210-hp 4.0L V6 carries over unchanged. The 4.6L V8 receives an increase in power - producing 315-hp for 2010. A five-speed manual transmission is standard; a five-speed automatic is optional. Strength:

Great Engine
Automatic (AODE) transmision handles the V8 pretty good
Excelent driving (everyday)
Good look
A fast car without the troubles of a racer
The BEST car to perform customizations! parts are not thet expensive and you can make a 400 HP beast outta them

Weakness:

Back seat is really unuseable
Gas/milleage is poor
Brakes need a little job to work right

Late model Mustangs are cars made for true fans, even old ones. If you want a car to go to the office, market and on vacation with your the family, get a Minivan or a big 4 door car. Mustangs are meant to enjoy every ride you take on them AND you can use it as a daily driver if you don't mind spending a lotta money in gas.
For the guys who like germans, I had a Jetta 2.0L (95) and this was a TRUE junk car, it burned out on a hot day cuz I turned the AC in heavy traffic, lowsy engine, really old, oh yes, it gives good milleage/gallon, but that's not what an 8 cil 5.0L engine cares about. European/Japenesse cars are built to work in those countries conditions... so if you're in America, get an American car!
So in the short, Mustangs are for people who knows what they are buying, and not cars for "let's give it a try"

POWERFUL, EASY TO MAINTAIN. ANY IDIOT CAN LOOK UNDER THE HOOD AND BE RIGHT AT HOME. IF YOU CAN'T YOU DONT NEED TO BE IN OR AROUND SPORTS CARS. RELIABLE, GOOD GAS MILEAGE IF YOU CAN KEEP YOUR FOOT OUT OF THE THROTTLE.

Weakness:

TRACTION PROBLEMS WHICH ARE BAD BUT BETTER THAN F BODIES.

IT IS VERY COST EFFICIENT. YOU CAN MODIFY FOR NEXT TO NOTHING AND CAMARO'S AND TRANS AM'S CANNOT COMPARE TO COST OF EASE OF DRIVING AND REPAIRING.

Plenty of power. Mines have the stock 2.73 gears in it but its going to be changed to 3.27 or 3.55's. So far it has Underdrive pulleys and K&N air filter. The underdrive pulleys don't make it run hotter either and i can tell a difference in the new K&N filter.

Weakness:

Could have a little more power at least 25 more. Easy to upgrade for more power. thats it

i would definitly recommend the car to anybody. Everybody says Mustang GTs won't run but they do. They just don't know what it feels like to own one. Espessically when everyone stares at you because you got one.

Love the power. There's nothing like being able to overtake anyone on the road you want to. It's a stylish car that's pretty distinctive, not just a jellybean produced by computer. The front seats are more comfortable than my mom's Mercedes. Pretty good dash layout, but you gotta take your eyes off the road to find the damn radio buttons.

Weakness:

Space. Trying to get more than one chick in and out of the car is like watching a gymnastics event because of the seat belts. On second thought, maybe that's not a bad thing. Reliability: Thank goodness there's a warranty, I've had the rear dif. fixed twice, the rear defrost stopped working, and there's a funny whine that won't go away either. The top bow rusted after just six months. Ford builds pieces of sh.. But the snarling v-8 makes it worthwhile. So far. Also, all Ford dealers in the L.A. area are theives and crooks, who don't give a damn if they can't charge you, so the bumper-to bumper warranty is a mixed blessing.

I'd recommend this car for anyone who doesn't need a lot of space, wants an easy drop top and loves to drive fast. That pretty much describes everyone in the world. I love the car, but I don't know if I'll keep it long term if I gotta keep fixing it. Then again, what else are you going to buy with a v-8 under 30k? A Camaro? Yeah, right.

I've restored several classics, and drove a Jetta for 10 years. The Jetta was bulletproof and I had a lot more confidence in the build quality. I've been to the shop more times in six months with my 'stang than in 10 years with my vw.

I use to want a camaro until I road in my friends 93 5.0. Wow that thing has power. I then went looking for a Mustang and then I got a 99 GT. I love this car. I don't know why people have problems with Fords. This is my first ford car (my parents hade many Fords)if you take care of it it will last you. I baby mine to death. For them money it's an all around great car.

Weakness:

The only thing I don't like about my mustang is the gas. Wow it takes all my money but it's worth it.

I would recommend this car if you have money to spend on gas. You get looks in a Mustang. I also recommend a 5.0. My friends sounds great. I don't like the style like my 99 but my 99 doesn't have the rumble that I want.
If you have a good job and you want a car that will get you from A to B in style get a MustangGT. NO 6. get an 8!!!

the 5.0 is tough as nails and takes abuse on a regular basis. I have driven this car for over three years with a blown out fifth gear due to my abuse and not once have I thought it was going to come apart and that abuse includes 6,000 rpm hole shots and many passes at the drag strip. I also have more then 350,000 miles on this ex police car with no end in site even with four gears I still get over 20 mph on the highway and I will be beating the sh*t out of this car for many more years to come before it's time to rebuild it in to a real street sweaper.

Weakness:

bad brakes, front lights get foggie, never enuf horsepower

For the money there's no equal!!!

Model Reviewed: Mustang LX 2.3L

Strength:

-Reliable car
-Great handling and control
-Still looking good after 8 years!
-Great gas milage (more and more important as gas prices goes up..)
-Peppy car!

Weakness:

-4 cylinder engine...so at at around 45-55MPH, acceleration cuts back
-Car rattles a little around 70-75 MPH (but not over...go figure!)

Great car for someone in college or high school, good price if you can find one and a very reliable car! Not good in a race of course (though I can beat alot of cars off the line =) ), and its not exactially a showpiece (the 2.3LX's were pretty dull looking it seems), but a good fun car to have and I definatly recommend it!

Hmm,,Let me think about this one. 2000 Ford Mustang coupe. Total panty dropper. With its sleak new styling and great power output, this car was built to get women. If you are 16 years old like I am, and love to race, this is definitely your car. With a more than modest price of 16,500, there is NO better value for under 20,000. This car is my first, and will be my last. Ford has definitely gained my confidence in them after having driven this car. With my 0-60mph being only 6.9 i must say FAST!! Having already left, Camaro's, Eclipses, Integra's, Avengers, Cougars, Celicas, all in the dust. This is the car to have. My brother got himself a 2000 Celica gts, and i have him wishing he would have spent 2,000 dollars less and gotten himself a MUSTANG! After killing him in a drag race there were no doubts in my mind that this is the best car for under 20,000. I love the standard features like the CD player, rear defroster, power windows, doors, and locks, and just too many other things to list, this car is of great value. Fathers, this is the car you need to get your son. I have had it now for 6 months, except for the fact that I have too many girls and just too little time. The 40hp addition from the 98' models make this car the one of the fastest in its class. A great car for a great price, and thats all i got to say.

Weakness:

Now, this car is definitely an eye catcher, but there is only one thing i could change and that is the sluggish start from first gear, but that can be fixed with a few modifications to the stock model. Nonetheless this car is super fast! I was running at 115mph in fourth gear and when i hit 5th it was barely past 3500rpms. The governor doesn't let you meet the cars maximum capabilities. The stock rims are ok, but if you want more women some 17inch chrome wheels are nicer.

Nothing better than my 2000 Ford Mustang. Its a stock and can beat a 2000 GTS Toyota Celica. I paid 16,500 for mine during a great sale Ford had and the dealer was just great. I have great interest rates and paid NO MONEY DOWN. It doesn't get better than that. Gas mileage is not bad. I went from St. Louis to Indianapolis in back on one tank of gas. Great sound out of this engine with 190hp output it doesn't get any better. The styling on this car is impecable. I love the new lights on it. The rims i got changed on it and women just love it. Cd player, remote keyless entry and trunk. It is a wonderful car. Great first car. Very fast with good insurance rates. No car like it. Used to hate Ford before I got in this baby, One of A Kind!!. Get it in the new Atlantic blue color it is the nicest color they got. Or the yellow, whichever you prefer. Highly recommended with a wonderful blend of styling and performance with a great touch of value. All in one. Buy it baby!! I wish they would give me more stars to rate it as because five just doesn't do.

300zx, very nice car, still take a Stang over it for price and value,
BMW 323i. Well, if you wanna pay 33,000 dollars for 20 less hp go ahead. The bmw and the stang are head in head in a race, the beemer just takes off quicker.
2000 celica gts, its cool and modern looking, but i don't know why it has 6 speeds, its not that fast, and sounds like a little mosquito engine while the Pitbull growl of the mustang just eats up that little i4 toyota.
2000 Corvette convertible, Well now i'd be stupid to compare these two cars.
Acura NSX-only 84,000..you decide which is better
I test drove and impreza. now that is honestly the car i wanted, because i'm sure its 0-60 could get to under 6.0 easy, but in terms of value, the Stang is where its at.
2000 Gti. This modified Volkswagon golf is the fastest hatchback i've ever ridden in. Nice car.

Strength:

-lots of V6 power; will blow away new V6 Camaro or Firebird
-great car for the price; many standard goodies for under $20,000
-nice throaty exhaust sound; you'd swear you're driving a V8 as you accelerate from second to third; 5-speed is the way to go
-great styling, a total chick magnet
-loads of aftermarket parts

Weakness:

-slow first gear acceleration; takes awhile to get used to the manual
-no optional fog lights or sunroof
-dual exhaust for more power would have been nice, but car sounds great anyway

Great ride for the price. It get tons of looks and I've had many compliments on it (especially with its electric green paint job). A great car for the young people but a pleasure for the most experienced drivers. A very affordable sports car that won't burn a hole in your wallet.
