Strength:
Mid range power is great, great grip off the line. High red line 35th anniversary edition is awesome, hood stripe stands out, real looker performance red is beautiful. 17 in rims 245/45 ZR17 Goodyears
Weakness:
Camero beats the Mustang 0-60 espically automatic small rear seats but what did you expect I reccommend this car to anyone due to power, looks and bang for buck. The 17in wheels are nice the leather seats are comfortable. But be very careful in the rain and snow (if your crazy enough to drive in winter) But if you want to beat a Camero or Firebird you'll have to add some modifications. ford Mustang lx 5.0
Strength:
The power is unbeatable--relatively speaking. I have appreciated the interior, in terms of comfort. Having owned this pony for over five years, it has been extremely reliable: and fun to drive.
Weakness:
Although I highly recommend the mustang and it has been extremely good to me, remember the following: 1)It's a ford so don't expect perfection 2)Be prepared to pay for gas--extensively 3)DONT go up against a Z28 because he will leave you in the dust. I hate Z28's because they're ugly, yet so powerful relative to mustangs. Ford has to add even more horsepower to its forthcoming Mustangs. This was my dream car when I bought it; a white, LX 5.0, stick shift. The car has been excellent, with the exception of minor mechanical problems. I definately recommend Stangers. In fact, I just ordered my 2001 GT Pony--can't wait. One caveat: beware of used Mustangs, some of them have been modified, and raced extensively. In short, The Mustang is a fun, and reliable car to drive. Similar Products Used: 1985 Mustang GT |

Great looks, great power, fun to drive, easily modified, strong 302.
Weakness:
AOD was terrible! Had it rebuilt the first year I purchased it. Not good gas mileage and no room in back seat. This is very typical of sports cars, if your looking for gas mileage and room for kids, FORGET IT, get a minivan! If your looking for a car to buy that is fast and fun to drive this is for you. It is very easy to modify and is much cheaper than modifing the newer cars. Like I said above if you do get an AOD and you plan to race, get it built or replace it with a manual. I choose to build mine, and my 92 will run with and usally beat the guys who have manuals. It is costly to rebuild so get out your wallet. It is also fun to take to your local drag strip and run them a few times. I love this car and feel it was one of the best purchases of my life! It has changed from a car that got me back and forth to college to a hobby that I continue to enjoy.......... Similar Products Used: None |

LX 5.0 Sedan
Strength:
Great low end torque! Wide power band. Huge fun quotient! I bought this car brand new in '89 and have driven in practically every day. Just turned over 200,000 miles and still runs very strong! Tons of aftermarket parts and add-ons available to make them as bad as you want!
Weakness:
The 5.0 is famous for using oil. Mine has used a quart every 1500 miles since brand new. The brakes and suspension are good, but neither are enough to handle the power that the motor can provide. Drive with a feather foot in rain and especially snow, keep the rpm's under 2500. Ride is fair, a little firm, but I don't mind it at all. Back seat is practically useless, trunk is almost as bad. Great, fun, affordable car, especially for younger guys. I've driven mine for almost 12 years and still enjoy driving it. When you first get it, don't go nuts, learn the cars limits before testing it. Counter steering is a must to keep from wrecking! Drive with a little sense at least in bad weather and this car will provide lots of fun! Similar Products Used: Same year camaros: Can dust the 305's easy and stock is real close to the 350's. I have a few bolt on's and can gradually pull them. The newer Camaros and Firebirds with the 5.7 are pretty tough. I've beaten mid 70's Vettes with ease also, but forget about the new ones! |

Strength:
first off i love the way the car looks and for the most part runs. it has a throaty exhaust tone to it and even though heavier than the previous model, has decent exceleration. it is a fun car to drive especially with stick shift, and also handles well.
Weakness:
first off, the car needs more power for a V-8. the car plain out sucks in the rain, this will be my first winter with the car but i can already imagine what it will be like. the intior holds up moderatly well, some panels are loose (airbag cover and other trim). other problems include the fog lamps and not being able to get the car into gear sometimes. the car is reliable if you keep it maintained. even though the exhaust is throaty, it could be alot lauder. in all, i would recommend the mustang. it's alot of fun to drive, especially on high ways. i get alot of good comments and compliments from people who own other cars such as camaros, etc. my girlfriend wants a mustang later on and is currently learning to drive stick on mine. i would say that the car is more than good for the price. small factory rims 15" clutch problems bad traction in rain, snow good car dependable when it is nice outside, mostly comfortable girls like it 5 speed manual is nice a little quicker than normal, will take on most v6 camaro's and firebirds :) :) :) :)not for people who need to get around a lot in winter college students good for them or people who live in the warm climates most of the year. Strength:
Decent power for a V6, it could use more though. Awesome first car, summer top-down driving is the best part of the car.
Weakness:
Slower than comparable camaros. New transmission at 80K miles. Needs more power. I would reccomend this car to any 16 year old guy. It's a chick magnet, but easy on the wallet at the gas pump. V6-auto combination is a bad choice if you want to beat most cars off the line. Similar Products Used: 94' camaro, 91'Mustang GT |

Comfortable front seats, i also like the quickness it has in upper gears. I have beaten alot of the "RS" Camaro's and other cars in it's class. Chicks love mustangs! I love the new shape of the mustangs i think they did a good job bringing back the old style tailights too.
Weakness:
lack of power off the line, if you're looking for acceleration, get a GT or a manual tranny, i also dislike the lack of luxury, expecially in the back. But overall i love this car, and it is worth every penny. MUSTANGS RULE! If your looking for a sporty look this is definatly the way to go. But if you're looking for speed go with a GT, or as much as i hate to say it, one of the new trans am's Similar Products Used: 95 Monte Carlo Z34 - Owns my car off the line, but in long distance My mustang takes over.
