Ford Mustang (2010 and older) Sports

DESCRIPTION

The Mustang has been redesigned for 2010. Fresh new sheet metal wraps around an updated interior, giving the icon a more modern look and feel.

The Mustang is available either as a coupe or convertible. Each is available with a V6 or a V8. The 210-hp 4.0L V6 carries over unchanged. The 4.6L V8 receives an increase in power - producing 315-hp for 2010. A five-speed manual transmission is standard; a five-speed automatic is optional. All Mustangs are equipped with standard electronic stability control and LED sequential tail lamps for enhanced safety.

Strength:

-stereo(one kickin sound) -engine quality (fix or repair daily my butt -FAST -good gas mileage for a 3.8 -looks, what would you rather look at, a mustang or a blah honda

Weakness:

-cornering -no sticker that says "I hate your honda"

My stang is fantastic. the high output motor is much better than the stock v6, i have added a supercharger and a nitrous kit, the car will do 0-60 in nearly 7 seconds... which is really good for a six banger. the only thing is the cornering sometimes when i race on the highway and i need to corner i have a gut feeling like the car is going to lose control or rip itself to shreds, but other than that it is my baby and i love it.. ain''t nothing better on the road. on the highway it is nearly untouchable unless someone in a supercar obliterates mine. but besides the point it is great, kudos Ford you build a good car

Strength:

-The feeling you get when behind the wheel. -The ability of running the 1/4 mile in 15.1 stock. -All the power options. -So many hop-up parts available, mine has 300 hp already!!! -Sounds so rad when you put your foot down -You can find lady driven 5 litres for around 5 grand if you keep your eyes open.

Weakness:

-Frame could use some stiffening -Seats foundation tends to break down in many Mustangs. -Doesnt come stock with a rear window decal saying "5 Litre Import Eater" -Can only fit 235 wide tires without cuting the axels:(

First of all, if your a domestic hater then just keep an open mind while reading this review, because I''m not hear to bash Imports. I love my Mustang, it''s a strong reliable car. Whats not to like. The T Tops rule in the summer, and the interior is way ahead of its time. The seats are unbelievable, especailly the lumbar support and the huge head rests. Everyone always says, fords suck, especailly mustangs, and that imports rule. Well, to be honest, your just mad cuz all you see is my brake lights, ha. You should see all the people i make mad, they come up to me in their civics and try to race, and when i respond by continuing to go the speed limit, they loose it, hahaha. But really, this is a great car, I like them better than the LXs because of the interior and the ground effects. With 225 hp and 300 ft/lbs of torque, you cant go wrong. Although if your not the best of drivers you can burn the clutch pretty easily, and Import owners will be on your a$$ everday. Its a great car if you wanna be cool buy going fast, although thats not why I got it, than this is a car for you because they are as fast if not a smidge faster than camaroes and firebirds, and when a guy in a Supra barley beats you and he''s like "ya, ive put so much work into it" and your like "ya, mines stock" the look on his face is worth the money alone.

great fun car to drive.

Weakness:

when ford came out with the modular engine, they needto do more research on the engine to give it more horsepower!

great car, love driving the vehicle, handles really well, except in the snow.after 30 years of waiting to buy another mustang it was well worth the wait!

Strength:

Looks (top up or down), sound, quickness, speed, tradition--all for a fraction of what other muscle cars cost.

Weakness:

The toneau cover for teh top on the 99 covertibles does not stay secure when traveling at highway speeds (or faster!!).

I love this car!!! The look and sound of this car turn heads all the way down the street. Unlike the amateur critics, I did my research before buying the car. I knew that it was basically a 2-seater, had a plain interior and was not the fastest car on the block. I bought this car because it is fast, cheap and an awesome part of history. Hats off to a truely American muscle car.

-not fast enough but good for a 16 year old with his first car. I am planning on getting a 2003 gt when i graduate.

This car is bad ass. Although it is only a v6, and we all want v8s, it still halls ass. I am 16 and this is a great first car. I have beaten so many cars, including preludes, civics, accords, and v6 cameros

Strong V-8. Good looking car. A classic

Weakness:

Cramped interior. All Ford dealers SUCK.

Bought this car near-new from the original owner. After owning it myself for almost two years, I would say, if you want a car that''s fun to drive with crappy build-quality, this is the car for you. After 45k miles, this thing shakes and squeaks like a bird in a room full of cats. The v-8 is smooth and beefy. The handling is stiff and jolting, but that''s the idea in a performance car. Forget about more putting more than two adults in the car. Now here''s the real reason I wrote this review: Ford dealers are crooks. I will never buy a Ford again because of this. I''ve been to five different dealers in the L.A. area, each worse than the last. To wit: they "forgot" to give me a copy of my estimate repair order after I signed it. The guy came back a few minutes later with an exhorbitant amount filled in. They joy-rode my car, and it smelled like smoke when I got it back. The complains go on and on. Just beware: if you buy a Ford you will need your own private detective everytime you get it serviced

Hold on, I''ll come up with something. I guess I can say the Flowmaster mufflers sounded good.

Weakness:

Dime a dozen. Horrible build quality. Not reliable. Handles like a tank but rough suspension. Gas hog. Not as fast as it could be (heavy?). Low top end - 140mph. It''s a Ford.

Peice of crap. I''m sorry, but in 20,000 miles this thing felt like it was going to fall apart. Sure it felt fast, but wouldn''t you think a 5.0 v8 and a five speed would do better than 6.4 0-60? All that torque made for instantaneous throttle response, but it started wheezing and shaking in the upper (4000+) rpm''s. The Ford dealership said this was normal. The material Ford uses were so cheap that I had to brace the subframe to prevent the rear from sagging (note that all the convertibles do this). The metal on the hood that the latch attaches to was so weak it tore apart and I had to bolt on a new strip of metal to hold it.

Interior Storage space

I just thought I would update you since my last review in April of 01 when I purchased the car new. So far after 3000 miles, I have had absolutely no problems. I never drive this car in the rain however, so I cannot speak to its handling on wet pavement. The only issue I have with this car is the small glovebox that does not even hold the owner''s manual. The seats are comfortable and the stereo (Mach 460 w/6cd changer) is the best stock I have ever heard. The performance of the car is incredible. Yes I know that it will not compete with a Camaro or Firebird but I don''t really care as those cars will not make it to 25000 miles without serious interior problems (fit and finish). You get what you pay for in that you will not find a quicker, better looking, comfortable SPORTS CAR than the Mustang. I emphasize sports car because that is exactly what it is. It does not ride like a Lincoln but I didn''t expect it to. It rides like it is on rails just as a sports car should.
