DESCRIPTION

The Mustang has been redesigned for 2010. Fresh new sheet metal wraps around an updated interior, giving the icon a more modern look and feel.

The Mustang is available either as a coupe or convertible. Each is available with a V6 or a V8. The 210-hp 4.0L V6 carries over unchanged. The 4.6L V8 receives an increase in power - producing 315-hp for 2010. A five-speed manual transmission is standard; a five-speed automatic is optional. I drive a 92 mustang. There are plenty of problems with it. it's ugly, uncomfortable, and underpowered. but there is still one thing that keeps bringing me back to it. It is fun to drive. despite all the problems and other cars that are better than it, i still like it.

To the Assnt Piimp: First off anyone whose handle is "piimp" (sadly this site wouldn't allow him to use the correct spelling) and expects his opinion to have much value is already demonstrating his shortsightedness. The bottom line is unlike what the piimp says, japanese imports and domestic muscle have their own pluses and minuses. I've driven many imports 3000 GT VR-4s, Prelude VTECHs, ZX turbos, Civics..etc and domestic muscle cars. Whatever the piimp says about torque, I don't know what his point is. Perhaps he's jealous of torque b/c imports have none. Yeah, imports redline much better than torquey American V-8s. But I've owned many imports and guess what? Revving to 7-8krpms constantly to get any power gets old real fast. It's nice to have power "on tap". Torque is fun. Torque is power. Imports definitely do handle better and have a lighter feel to them. However, you also do NOT get that torquey thrust or V-8 rumble that American Muscle brings. So it's a trade off. As an owner of mint low mileage 92 Mustang GT, I can say that my car feels about as light as a muscle car can feel at 3200lbs (as opposed to a huge boaty Z28 which I also owned). Like so many japanese owners who modify their cars, I can also modify my mustang in almost every department (and much cheaper to do) including suspension packages to make it handle just about as good an import. But no matter how many mods you do to an import, you can never make it have V-8 thrust or torque and nothing can match that. Yes, the interiors on imports are nicer but so be it. My 92 GT is still very comfortable. Reliablity on Mustangs at least have been very good as well. The V8s can take punishment. The thing that really makes import lovers/ricers/domestic haters look bad is how insanely and blatantly ugly and pathetic they make their cars look. The 3 foot laughable spoilers that stick up in the back look more like someone played a nasty trick on them and shoved this thing on their car in the middle of the night while they were asleep. But no, the reality is that they actually paid for this add on!!! It's always good for a laugh from others I guess. And those stupid sounding fart pipes. And those are supposed to do what?? Make your car sound like a lawnmower on steroids? V-8s do sound mean so a custom exhaust accentuates what is already there. On the contrary 4 cylinders do not sound mean and those fart pipes just make that point in a more obnoxious audible fashion. It's just hard to take people seriously that make their car look/sound so blatantly stupid. This is a big reason ricers get no respect. So it all depends on what you like. If you like V8 power/rumble and are willing to sacrifice a bit of handling, mpg, and amenities....you go American muscle. If light handling, high revving, often turbocharged is your thing and you don't mind the lack of low-end torque then go the import route.......but try not to put toooo much money into making your car look stupid.

I am the orginal owner, I LOVE this car and won't part with it! Still in beautiful condition. Fun to drive, despite the tight clutch. Rear end a little squirrely on wet pavement. Flow Master mufflers really added to the V8 rumble. I get asked by strangers all the time if I want to sell. NO WAY! I still have less than 100,000 miles on it.

Not the greatest weather car and I live in Indiana so I have to avoid driving it in snow or really bad rain.

The funiest car ever. It looks great it is a blast to drive. It is the definition of American Muscle and is an outstanding representation of what Ford Motor Company can really do.

After owning a Chrylser 300M, Cadillac STS and Olds Aurora, the Mustang is the most fun car to drive. It's a car that you can't wait to take for a drive. The handling, engine, exhaust note, excellent five speed transmission, great brakes and top down driving make driving this car a great experience. Unbelievable that it uses regular gas and easily gets better gas mileage than my 300M. Tan top, blue paint and bullet wheels is a combination thats hard to beat. I was surprised how air tight and quiet the convertible is. Not a drop of water enters the interior when using a car wash.

makes me want to spend too much time polishing/waxing it

This is the greatest car I have ever owned. I have owned eight cars in the last 30 years, and this is by far my most favorite car. None of my other cars even come close to this Mustang. The styling is excellent, it is one of the most beautiful cars, if not THE most beautiful, on the road today. Triple black (black exterior, black convertible top, black leather interior) five speed GT was hard to find, but well worth the wait. I love the "growl" heard each time the car starts. The handling is superb, and the suspension is amazing. I also owned a Mustang V6 convertible before this. There is no comparison between the two cars. They are as different as night and day. (Actually, my old one was white, my new one is black, so they ARE as different as night and day.) I will love this car for a long time, if not forever. There is not one thing I would change or add to it. In my mind, it is the perfect car. There is nothing better than being on a semi-desolate highway, top down, Mach 6 stereo system blasting, and a red-headed hot babe next to me.

Good Acceleration Looks Great Sounds Mean Sound system is well done.

Weakness:

Too-much plastic on the interior Useless head restraints

The 2002 Ford Mustang is a wonderful car. Despite the fact the chassis is a 'Fox Body' that dates back to 1981 it handles well and has a tight accurate feel. This may be due to the redesign in 1999 where the body was stiffened and the retro styling q's were added. The acceleration is hard and smooth, and the all-around disc breaks provide great stopping power. As far as trunk space and rear-seat space, come-on folks it’s a sports care don't expect much. The 4.6L V-8 sounds mean, and invites petal stomping. Frontally the Traction control system(defeatable) prevents most rear-wheel spin providing a better mannered Mustang. The optional Leather and 460 Mach sound system provide an exceptional driveling experience.

The MUSTANG, not of my dreams, but the mustang, what a car! I have owned my glossy white stang for almost 1 year, and have found that it is nothing. Nothing more than a ford's speality car's unique mustang style with the ford v6 engine, that doesnt exactly push the weight of other styling race cars out there today. The price tag on a mustang is relatively cheaper than an average sports car, but may in some aspect be cheaper overall. I know I love my car, and therefor i took an extra step in the performance of this beast. Her name is Metallica, due to her glossy metallic/white clearcoat combonation done to her, for a nice price tag.(3500$, which may have been the most expensive mod I have given her.) I have also loaded her with a Vortech supercharger, 1.75" headers, 2-2.5" stainless steel straight pipes ended in 3.5" chrome tips to give her a beastley and gigantic sound. Mass air meter, pulley swap, BIG spark plugs and an advanced chip made by Super Chips. This car as of now, will dust a Z28 Camaro, Stock late model Corvette and any other low class V8 sports car including time slip comparison, Dodge Vipers. I would like aethetically point out the cheapness of an America Sports Car, with the Carisma of a DREAM!. PS: Includes all american sound system, not stock but all Pioneer including: a Pioneer 5.5" digital display DVD player, 4 Pioneer 6-8 20-24,000 mhz, and two superloud 12" subs custom mounted created a whole between the back two pull down rear seats to give a distinct look to the lucky women cruising the main str. Sitting low on 4-Chrome Cobra R's!
