Strength:

so far so good- I like the van.

Weakness:

Allpar.com website must read-this trany sensitive to poor maintanence or incorrect fluid used by service people who dont care. trany service max 15,000 mi interval -it makes a diference -use the chrysler transmission fluid.

95,000 miles 3.3 liter 4 spd auto-have spent $200 on trany sensor after having trany fluid replaced by a quickie lubrication shop. A different trany specialist clued me in to special needs of this transmission. that is the only problem I have had.

Strength:

Very roomy and the 3.3 litre V6 has plenty of power

This vehicle has been very dependable. Have really only had one problem with it since we bought it. The A/C control inside went bad. I have 115,000 miles on it and have had it 6 years.

Strength:

It would be a strength to have a van for the kids - roomy - if it runs.

Weakness:

oil leaks, transmission, a/c, water pump - everything

Lets just say its the worst mistake we ever made. We have had it in the shop so many times - that we have actually stopped counting - too depressing. I know its been in the shop 3 times for oil leaks, and it still leaks oil. It has been in the shop at least 9, in the four years we've had it - each time costing at least $800.00 (water pump, gaskets, a/c) I would just say - please keep looking. This van will just crumble in your hands.

Strength:

really wanted to like this van, it looks and rides nice.

Weakness:

with warranty about to run out, I'm scared to death. Transmission, etc.

Add me to the list of transmission problems. Major work at 12 and 20k mi.(under warranty) then a few trouble free years. Now it's in the shop again for a new transmission. Thank God for extended warranty. Also belt tensioner and clock spring in steering wheel(not covered by warranty)

Strength:

I do not know any strength, I always worry for its realibility.

Weakness:

poorly made, not a reliable van, I will not encourage somebody to own one.

I PURCHASED THE CAR BRAND NEW, UPON REACHING 50,000 MILES I HAVE TO BRING TO THE DEALER, 4X TO CLEAN THE FUEL INJECTORS THEN THE FRONT STRUT SHUT OFF AND I WAS CHARGED, $800.00. REACHING THE MILEAGE CLOSED TO 65,000, THE ENGINE STARTED RUNNING SLUGGIST AND ACCORDING TO THE MECHANIC THE ENGINE ARE MISFIRING THEY HAVE TO BRING THE ENGINE DOWN, WHICH COST ME $1200.00 FOR THE REPAIR. THEN SUDDENTLY THE AIRCONDITIONER WAS SPEWING WITH CLOUDLIKE SMOKE SOMETHING WRONG WITH THE CONDENSER TO CHANGE IT THEY WILL TAKE EVERTHING OUT IN THE FRONT PANEL, ESTIMATE PRICE $1000.00. I ALMOST STRUCK THE VAN WITH 2X4 TO END MY MISERY.

Strength:

The only strength is that it costs less up front; but you make up for that in repair costs in the first few years.

Weakness:

The engine is bad. There is not enough storage room in the back. And it is not reliable.

The Plymouth Voyager has been a problem ever since I first purchased it. I bought it new because I didnt want to take a "chance" buying a used car. Well, SURPRISE!!! It has been leaking oil since the first year. And it does not have a lot of power in the engine. Going up hills is a battle. I have to floor the accelerator and it's still slow. Then the head gasket, timing belt and water pump blew at 47,000 miles. ($2000 down the drain.) I would not recommend this car to anyone.

Strength:

very few but price has to be one

Weakness:

Quite a few. This obviates the praice advantages dur to extraordinary repair costs of >$6500 in the first 50,000 miles.

with less than 50,000 miles on the car: 3 brake jobs (@>$350 per) 1 head gasket replacement ($1200) 1 radiator and hoses replaced (see head gasket problem above) (650) 2 transmission replacements ($2100) Radio malfunctions Steering power assist malfunctions

Most anything would be superior to Chrysler products and "5 Star" service. They do not stand behind this product. I would be very wary of any Chrysler/Plymouth/Etc. purchases

Strength:

Any that it might have are completely overshadowed by the total lack of reliab ility. Ours left us stranded in San Francisco of all places.

Weakness:

Engine, tranny, emissions, gauges.

Should have read up on these lemons. Have had this one less than a month and it's a pile. Engine light comes on and off randomly, fuel pump went out, O2 censor bad, and some other emissions piece. RED FLAG - THIS CAR BITES!

Strength:

Nice looking,good power and mileage

Weakness:

Brakes, terrible from day one.#2 fabric on front seats looked like it was overstretched at factory.#3Rode like lumber wagon#4 while sitting in drivers seat the steering wheel is misaligned with your body by two inches#5 poorest tires you could put on a motor vehicle

Would never buy a Chrysler product again, anybody that could take a product like the 1989 Voyager which was a bit spartan but never the less a fair vehicle and redesign it into the piece of junk I bought in 1994 does not get my bussiness.Chryslers problem is they never get anything perfected, then brag that they have made 40 improvements to this years model. It is 2003 and they still are having tranny problems in their mini-vans.The LE I bought was their best and my worst.
