I WILL GIVE THEM THIS. I HAVE BEEN HIT TWICE IN THE LAST 2 YEARS AND NO ONE WAS HURT. REAR ENDED AND A CAR HIT PASSENGER FRONT DOOR.

Weakness:

THEY HAVE TOO MANY REPAIRS.

HAVE HAD PROBLEMS FROM DAY ONE. I LIKE THE "COURTESY WIPES". I PUT IT IN THE SHOP TODAY TO REPLACE FAN MOTOR,RECALL ON AIR BAG THING,MY WINDOWS SOMETIMES WORK AND MY LOCKS ARE POSSESSED.THEY GO UP AND DOWN BY THEIRSELVES.I FIGURED A ELECTRICAL SHORT FOR WINDOWS AND LOCKS. WELL THE DEALER SPENT ALL DAY NOT FINDING WHAT I ASKED FOR BUT INSTEAD SAID I NEED THE FOLLOWING WORK DONE.EGR VALVE $180,O2 SENSOR $201,COOLING MODULE $537,POWER ?? $140,PLUGS & WIRES $281, CAN'T READ $305,TROTTLE ?? $103,FUEL FILTER $82,TRANMISSION THING $675,SERPENT BELT $195,OIL LEAK GASKET ? $133,WIPER BLADES $58,REAR WINDOW MOTORS $346,CAN'T READ $47 AND MASTER CYLINDER $386. TOTAL COST $3847.00. NOW HERE IS THE KICK IN THE ASS, THEY DON'T KNOW WHAT THE ELECTRIC PROBLEM IS AND THEY WANT 2 MORE HOURS TO FIND IT. THEY HAD IT ALL DAY AND DIDN'T DO WHAT I ASKED. THEY WANT $140.00 FOR THOSE 2 HOURS. HOW CAN I TRUST THEM TO FIND IT?? WHEN I CALL TO MAKE THE APPOINTMENT, THE GUY SAID IT SOUNDED LIKE A T/I. I SAID WHAT IS THAT AND HOW MUCH ? HE LAUGHED AND SAID IT MEANT A TRADE IN. 1 YEAR AGO I TOOK IT IN FOR A RECALL AND THEY DID THE SAME THING AND SAID I NEEDED $2199.OO WORTH OF REPAIRS. I DID NOT DO ANYTHING AND IT HAS RAN FINE,EXCEPT FOR FAN MOTOR, WINDOWS AND LOCKS.

Strength:

Lots of room, comfortable, great visibility on the road.

Weakness:

The transmission, but it is a minivan, after all.

Bought used two years ago with 113,000 km on it. Considering its age it's really been a pretty good family vehicle. The previous owner didn't replace anything so we've had to do some of the belt/water pump/transmission fixes, but it should be good for a long time yet.

Strength:

Great engine, good mileage, nice ride.

Weakness:

Horrible and I mean horrible seat belts and service on the seat belts if any.

The van has been great. The seat belts however have got to be the worst on the market. In addition, dealers like the one we dealt with have no clue as how to install replacement belts for those that are a hazrd to the driver and passenger. It would be nice to get service from the dealer but no luck, they can't even seem to order the replacement seat belt. By the way, the dealer has so called repaired and cleaned the drivers side belt but havefailed me in their efforts.Looks like I will no longer be a customer of theirs even though I have purchased five new vehicles from them since 1992. Go figure.

Great power on the freeway when it does run and the overall beauty of the vehicle.

Weakness:

I can't trust it at all. My children don t ever ride with me in this vehicle anymore

I am stilling trying to make this van run correctly. We bought used with 70k, really clean, great looking and roomy for kids.It has been in the shop 11 times in 2 years. Replaced transmission right before warranty expired at 94k.It stalls, or gasp at every stop sign. We have taken it to 3 private mechanics and no yone has a clue. I will never buy another Plymouth. Its now at 103k. But I cant trust it out of the area. If anyone knows, we would love the information.

Strength:

It's so versatile. I love having a van - just not this one! Oh yeah, and I like the dual sliding doors.

Weakness:

Other than the defects above, we should have sprung for the Grand Voyager, as the regular one does not include rear air vents in the ceiling. It is sweltering in the back seat in the summertime.

Where to start... This was our first minivan. Bought it used in 1999. Can't remember the mileage, but not bad. Everything was fine for a couple of years. Then, all of a sudden, weird little things were popping up left and right. But I am finding that they are all too familiar to the others who have posted on this site. Our problems in chronological order follow. Most we have not bothered to fix, but they are getting to me! *Interior fan only works on high (The first problem we had and one I actually haven't read about here! But then I quit reading after the first 30 reviews or so.) *No "ghost wipers" as others have mentioned, but still strange. When intermittant speeds are selected, wipers will go anywhere from 1-10 times, then pause and so on. (We like to count and see how many times they go!) Once turned off, they continue anywhere from 1-10 more times and most of the time stop in the middle of the windshield. Then, I have to turn them back on and off several times before I can get them to stop in the right place! Also, the end of the wiper arm that attaches to the van on the driver's side is stripped and has to be constantly tightened or the wipers will overlap and get caught on each other. *Belt squeals every year when the weather warms up. At first, this is only when using the air. As it gets worse, it is anytime I step on the gas. My husband has replaced it twice since last summer and it is sqealing again. Probably the sign of a bigger problem, but I don't want to know! *Studdering transmission. The whole stearing column shakes. Oddly enough, this only happens when the car is warm. It doesn't happen in the winter time unless I drive for 30-40 minutes. *Will not immediately kick into reverse when gear is selected. Funny thing, this happened on my Dodge Neon too. The wait time just kept getting longer and longer. I expect that this will eventually happen with the Voyager too! *And my most recent issue... an oil leak. Surprise, surprise. Also, it always smells like something is burning (probably oil) when the engine is working hard, like when I go uphill.

1995 Dodge Neon - bought it new. Had similar transmission problems. Traded a small piece of junk for a bigger piece of junk! Will NEVER buy another Chrysler product again!
