Strength:

Dependable, and comfortable.

Weakness:

Very plain car, seats were a bear to get in and out.

We had a new 90 Caravan. It was very dependable. At 60,000 miles I needed an oxygen sensor for less than $100.00 After 112,000 hard miles, the struts needed to be replaced. Not bad for that kind of Mileage. had the 4 cylinder, and pulled a 16 ft boat with 100hp outboard all over the place. No transmission problems.

Strength:

Chrysler seems to have got it right this time.

Weakness:

Could use better tires

This car is a very comfortble family vehicle. It has a very roomy cabin, it is very smooth to drive, has very good performance and is very economical. The vehicle handles very well indeed although I think that the engine could be a little more sound proofed. Other than that, the whole car is superb.

Strength:

Nothing

Weakness:

Everything including the smell, transmission, windshield wipers, tires, brakes, customer service........

We are stuck in a 63 month lease on a van that we hate. Transmission went after 12 payments and less then 13000 miles, 4 way blinker switch went several weeks after we had the car. New brakes while the transmission was being repared and new tires the week before the transmission. Why would a car with less then 13000 miles need new brakes and tires. Besides being afraid the transmission will go again after the warranty expires, we are dealing with a moldy musty smell coming out of the defroster vents everytime it rains or snows out and the car gets "moist" Told by the dealership that it is mold and we should spray lysol in the outside vents near the windshield wiapers. Definately a disgusting smell and just great for allergies. Wrote to Chrysler and was basically told there is nothing they could do for us. Tried to trade the van in and our 26000 dollar van is worth 12000 dollars 17 months after taking off of the lot. Payoff is 19000 so we are stuck with a van that is making a sick. Also the windshield wipers make an unbelieveable squeek and the auto parts store told us they are teflon and should not make any noise. Chrysler customer service stinks very rude and we are stuck with a piece of metal on wheels. DO NOT BUY A CHRYSLER PRODUCT!!

Strength:

A very comfortable vehicle that can be driven all day without any discomfort. Excellent all round visibility Decent handling and fuel economy if not pushed too hard

Weakness:

Front brakes required new rotors and pads at 25,000 miles

Nothing ever went wrong with the MiniVan. In fact, this one never even had any "funny" noises or squeaks in it. I really liked this Van. The 3.3L engine was surprisingly powerful for the size of vehicle. Where this one shined was on the open road. Where I live, the prime passing area is a 1 mile up hill (6%) run. This little hummer would accelerate from 50 to 85 in second gear and toast almost any car that tried to catch me. The key to performance is the excellent ratio in second gear.

roomy,comfortable ok on gas milege.

Weakness:

the look to much room for me transmission

first thing never go to this dealer there are other ways to go if you have not so good credit all the cars there are junk but they wont tell you that. have had car for over 3 years has done ok but the transmission has a mind of its own it will shift for you one week and then the next will not leave 2nd.so had that fixed and now only eveyother month it does it. plus from the begginning have always had coolant leaks fixed lots of times.door locks broke on me.other wise has been good to us bought at 93k now has 150k we drive a lot. lots of room for the whole family including in laws thats why getting knew car built only for our children and the 2 of us.like i said good for a while dealer SUCKS. but in all honesty i really hate this van.

Strength:

Great ride and handling. Especially with the sport package (sway bar in back) and large nice wheels.Great milage, especially on long trips.Very comfortable to drive. Priced to compete with the other minivans.

Weakness:

None

Purchased new in 1997. Sport SE 3.3L. It now has 80k miles. I had the radio replaced under warranty. That was it for repairs. Used to own a 1985 ran up to 225k miles. Timing chain replaced. Had good luck with Caravans. Still I got the 7yr 100k warranty. Good idea on any vehicle these days. Repairs are just too expensive.

Strength:

Not to many to speak of. It is a Comfertable vehicle. The rear leaf suspention carys a trailer well without the need for a weight distributing hitch. Most other mini vans require a weight distributing hitch. Worth what I paid and the cost of repairs.

Weakness:

Transmition is very sensitive. Wrong fluid used in the transmition or overheating the transmition even just a bit will dammage the transmition. 3.3 liter in the 1990 can over stress the CV Axels and Motor mounts requiring frequent replacement of these parts. Vehcile is extreamly sensitive to tire conditions. Breaks arn''t as strong as they should be.

I purchased my 1990 in 1999. Turned out it needed a lot of repairs...More than expected. I have become attached to the vehicle. Fun to drive and strong enough to pull a medium weight camping trailer as long as I do the maintenance like clock work.

Strength:

Spatial, responsive acceleration, no mechanical problem in the long run.

Weakness:

Not very stable at the speed over 75 mph. Poor interior decoration.

I bought it used at 3800 USD. It is still running great. It is very roomy and it does give a comfortable ride. Its stability is still questionable. When I accelerate over 75 mph, it starts to shake a little bit on the front. I use this minivan to carry my bikes around, I am still impressed with its cabin space.

Weakness:

This mini-van is the best, you get good reliability. Have 45k miles no problems at all. The 3.3 V6 is superb and fast. Seats are very comfortable and the ride is excellent, but getting to the 3d row seat is a challenge. It fits 7 people plus luggage/groceries with the greatest of ease.
