Strength:
Overall comfortable ride, seats were good, cargo capacity was sufficient, average gas mileage around 20mpg on the highway and very dependable engine. Never had a problem even after 80k miles.
Weakness:
Power steering, windows and doors that only worked when they wanted to. Had this car for four years, overall it was a fair minivan and served it purpose for our needs. However, many things failed during our ownership that shouldn't. The passenger window never could be fixed properly, the powersteering was another anoiance, along with the power tailgate lift that only worked when the weather was nice. The side doors also worked when they wanted to. I would not buy another one from Chrysler. In fact I just purchase a SUV from Honda. |

gas mileage, dealership needs a bath We've had this 2003 Chrysler Town & Country AWD Limited for 2 year. It's my wife's car. It has 27,000 miles, has been to Canada (from California) twice, Disneyland once, Utah several times; in other words it's been around. We've been very happy with it. It is very comfortable, power is good, the interior has held up well, and problems have been minor. The horn has burnt out twice, battery died, brakes at 25,000 miles, a few interior pieces replaced after being destroyed by my kids. Mileage is lousy. Expect about 14 around town and 22 on the highway. The dealership is nothing to brag about. Would I get it again? Absolutely. |

Everything. It has not given us any trouble at all (inspite of what I read in this forum).
Weakness:
None I have had our T&C for 24 months now and I have nothing but praises for it. After more than 25,000 miles, it's as good as the day we bought it. Haven't had any trouble with it. So far so good and we're so happy with the Chrysler Minivan, we're trading in for the 2005 Limited with stow & Go seats, side curtain airbags, power adjustable pedals, park assist, DVD navigation (which are all standard) plus DVD entertainment and a satellite radio. Similar Products Used: 2001 K2500 Suburban LT. A gas guzzler, (12 mpg) inefficient hunk of a vehicle. |

Pleanty of space for a BIG six family. Excellent A/C and very quite ride , even for Puerto Rico roads.
Weakness:
Power train seems week uo hills and breaks don't last and make noises. Power steering makes noises while cold. Overall the unit met our expectation. Had to take the unit twice because a noise in the power steering while it is cold. They had not been able to correct this situation. The unit is very comfortable, design with a family in mind. The left door handle broke out and bent the door frame. The dealer would not repair it. Similar Products Used: Ford Aerostar, Windstar |

Nice styling, handles well, fairly quiet ride.
Weakness:
Brakes keep going, sepertine belt, poor air conditioning. This vehicle is junk. At 25k miles brakes started draging. Dealer had to replace all rotors, drums and pads. Said "everything was rusted out!. Cost was $600.00. At 35K had to replace all brakes again, same thing. Also at 50K and 65K. Everytime it cost $600-700. Radio was replaced 3 times. Anti-lock brakes make "crunching sound" and the pedal is "creeky". Dealer cannot fix. Air conditioning is not cool enough even though rear air conditioner is installed. At 65K need struts ($600.00 estimate). Had serpentine belt replaced twice. Last time idler pully wheel broke and ate the belt. Poor city mileage (16mpg) I also have a 1994 Caravan that had many of the problems mentioned in the thread, air conditioning went out under warranty and again after. Brakes, electrical and more problems. I would NEVER buy another Chrysler product!!!! Similar Products Used: 1994 Caravan, Jeep Liberty, Pacifica. |

Dependability and Definetly Performance. My best friend bought this van for her family and has had nothing but problems since. We traveled in it from Houston to South Dakota twice, and both times, half way there the transmission went out. It only has 75,000 miles on it! The air has gone out at least once, along with the power steering. I was thinking of buying one for my family until I spent time driving and riding in hers. NO WAY!!!!!!!!!!! The Toyota Sienna looks WAY better! Similar Products Used: Plymouth Voyager(1996) |

Really stable and safe feeling. Good stereo and DVD sys. Leather seating is really comfortable. Heated seats are fantastic and a must with leather. Highly versatile interior. Good safety glass-we caught a brick that fell off a truck on the autobahn, hit us square in the middle of the windscreen at 85 mph and it only spidered in that area and was totally drivable for the rest of our vacation.
Weakness:
Aluminum 16 inch wheels are not as corrosion resistant as Chrysler thinks they are. I will probably make a warranty claim on them this spring. Seems they are getting all chipped up from whatever I don't know, gravel, sand or whatever. Bottom line, is they aren't that tough. Would recommend getting the standard wheels and buy nice custom aftermarket wheels if you want something classy on it. Great all around vehicle so far. Must have got one when all the factory workers were having a good day after I read some of the other reviews. Rock solid van. Quiet, no squeaks and all the doors close with a solid feel. Just hit 21K miles and 14 months old. We drive it on the autobahn over here in GE at 85-100 all the time and it is still running fine. Second winter and we just can't get enough snow to run in. Everything power is working like a champ. Only problem we had with the engine so far was a ferret like animal the Germans have over here seems to like the material the spark plug wires are made of and munched them. Other than that, the powertrain has held up to the constant highspeed commutes like a champ. Seeing we put a little more than average mi on our van, I thought we would have mx issues, but we haven't had a problem with dependability yet. We do have the services done religiously though. We've taken our family of 5 on numerous trips with all their gear for a week stay here and there in Germany and Italy and fuel milage is around 20mpg at 70 mph or less. Anything over that and it really sucks. Locked my keys in it one time with the key in the ignition. Wish it had a feature that wouldn't let me do that, but hey I learned. Overall recommend this van to anyone that needs a luxory people mover with all the bells and whistles. Similar Products Used: Toyota previa, vw vanagon, vw eurovan |

Cd player, looks, high qaulity interior.
Weakness:
Brakes are cheap and go often, got a recall for the power steering pump...then the next AM the whole rack went out. The rear cupholders under the second row bench fell off. Sepentine belt replaced at 32,000. And now at 67,000 miles the power steering pump is going again and the shocks, struts, and bushings all need to be replaced. Where did the quality of the old ones go? The van is super quiet and is really refined. It has a high sense of quality on the inside and has a lot of room.
