Strength:
Very bold sliver color, leather seats. Drives very well.
Weakness:
Seat belt get caught up in armrest, so you cannot pull up the seats for people in the back to get out, but you just have to pull it out, its just the biggest problem in the car i guess. We used to have a Ford Windstar, but it was very easy to get dirty and it smelt bad. This car is amazing for a minivan. It drives really well also, we were in a graveyard the other day (dont ask) and were on this really steep gravel road, it did not slip at all. The leather seats are awesome. Heated in the front toasts your buns. |

I love everything about my 1996 XLI T&C. Was not too thrilled with the dark green paint, but holding up well. Been to two recalls, got the 60,000 mile check up a month ago but only turned over 60,000 this week. For a single woman, probably a larger vehicle than I need, but want I wanted once I retired nearly two years ago. Love the comfort, room, just now put back in the back seat, would like a net or something to haul groceries, etc. I added plastic file boxes for the same purpose. Knock wood, but only regular maintenance problems and recalled problems have experienced to date. Got it with about 49,000 miles on it in March 1999. Have driven it to Florida twice and soon to SC and Ohio.
Weakness:
Driver's side door has a rattle when driving down the road sometimes, always forget to ask someone to check it out for me. As a Senior Citizen, I love it! I think I paid plenty for it, but except for the exterior color, was extremely pleased, love those power, automatically adjustable seats, mirrors, radio, CD and all those extra gadgets! Probably should watch gas milage more and will on trips, love those features, too. The 2000 model of the T&C looks equally wonderful! Strength:
Ergonomics are excellent. 3.8 engine is satisfactory. Very confortable. rides smooth, better than other van on the market
Weakness:
Transmission shifts unpredictable due to electronic memory programing. In town mileage 14 to 16 MPG. Noisy engine, exhaust manifold. No hood light. Idler belt replaced 3 time, tensioner twice. Paid $1500 below invoice due to rebate. The Town & Country is great, but do not have Chrysler dealer try to fix it. VIN number did not match door VIN numbers. WHAT A MESS that Chrysler did not want to fix. Similar Products Used: 91 Dodge Caravan ES. Twice the van |

Weakness:
-reliability We've had our T&C for 1 year to replace a 90 Aerostar, and love it. However, had to take it in for repairs twice . Once the drivebelt tensioner broke off and 1 month later the power steering pulley shattered. Other than that no problems at all! Similar Products Used: Ford Aerostar, does not even compare |

Strength:
Beautiful van inside and out. Powerful engine. Really comfortable. Options galore (when they all work).
Weakness:
Poor customer care by dealerships. Too many minor problems. This van is extremely nice but built without paying attention to detail. I have had many small problems with the van that become irritating including: loud banging sound underneath that can't be detected, power window going out, power lock on back door, cd compartment latch, stereo buttons, automatic mirrors, shimmy in the steering, and the van only has 45,000 miles. |

Strength:
luxurious, nicely appointed interior
Weakness:
a bunch of little things broke- cupholders, cd button, etc. T&C is great for long trips because it's so comfortable. The heated seats are a joy and they look beautiful in tan leather. A few things broke but it was covered by warraty so no prob. LXI has all the options one could hope for, its taken me awhile to figure out all the buttons though! Overall i'd recommend it to anyone who has $30K to drop on a really really good minivan Similar Products Used: None |

Strength:
Ergonomically this van is excellent and very comfortable to drive. It has excellent power, there is good vision from the driver's position, and seems to be designed with comfort in mind.
Weakness:
Poor quality. This thing has been in the shop as much as on the road. The transmission is a piece of crap; had to have it replaced. Like others have mentioned, there are all kinds of noises coming from the steering column. Now I'm told by the mechanic that the rack and pinion steering is about to go. Great. Other problems too numerous to mention. We have spent tons of $$ on repairs. Blew it by not getting the extended warranty. I think this van is great from an ergonomics perspective. It's a great van for long trips because of the comfort and style. Chrysler still has the competition beat as far as user-friendly convenience/features are concerned. But this is the 2nd Chysler vehicle we have owned and they both were extremely unreliable. I'm screaming "uncle" now - no more Chryslers for us. If you get one of these, make sure to pony up for the extended warranty. Similar Products Used: GMC Safari |
