Strength:

Great looks, Feel, Comfort and Price. Car feels very solid when driving.
Car Stereo is very high end and will impress most.

Weakness:

Bad location for automatic door locks but not as much of a problem with remote keyless entry. Bad blind spot when wanted to change lanes in a hurry.

Paid 24,000$CDN

I would recommend this car for anybody looking for a sports coupe in this price range. The trunk space in plentiful and will even fit a couple sets of golf clubs.

Strength:

Very fun to drive. It's a blast after 6000rpm. This car is amazingly responsive at corners.

Weakness:

Could have a little more low end torque. Would be great if VVTL-i kicks in earlier (abt 5000rpm). Since the car is still new to the market, aftermarket modifications would be difficult at this stage.

Paid mine for $23400. Silver GTS. ABS, Sunroof, Side Airbag, Spoiler, Tinted windows, Security, 16" alloy. Great deal for the performance. Definitely recomended.

BTW, check out http://www.newcelica.org for more info.

Strength:

The styling makes this car look like it's going 90 when it's parked. 180hp GTS engine is a real kick. The car handles like it's on rails. Interior is like a fighter jet cockpit. Seats are excellent. Exterior body panel fit is superb; more like a German offering than what you'd expect in a sub 25k Japanese car. The price - lots of car for 23k!!!

Weakness:

Blind spots make backing up a bit tricky, but I wouldn't trade the styling for anything.

I am and will always be a Corvette owner. The Celica lacks the raw, monster power of a Corvette, but it makes up for it with pure fun and gas mileage. The Celica has become my favorite car to drive. The quality is outstanding. Fit and finish of body panels is more what you'd expect from a Mercedes than a 25k Japanese sports car. The 180hp GTS version is definetely worth the extra couple thousand. Everyone compliments the looks of the car and it should hold a great resale value. This car tests out to .89 on the skidpad, yet was comfortable on a 1200 mile trip the first week I owned it. Very smooth ride for such tight handling. I just can't say enough good things about the car.. it blows away everything in it's class, plus most that cost 15k more. Great quality, great gas mileage, great handling, 180hp from 1.8 liters.. all for under 25k. What more could you want? .. I never thought I'd find a car that would make me happy to park my Corvette, but the Celica is that car.

Strength:

Looks great, more power for the money than I expected,
great gas milage, killer stereo

Weakness:

Center mount locking button, already locked myself out
cleaning the car. Car has the "come on and bust me for
speeding look".

Could not beat it for power and gas economy, it gets lots
of looks from everyone. Usually after I buy a car I have
second thoughts. . . only one I have on this car is wheter
I should have bought the larger engine, but needed the
gas economy.

Strength:

The over-all looks of the car. The new VVTI-L engine rocks. Always gets looks. Major horse power power improvements from previous Celica's. Well built and reliable. Handles awesome. Second Celica I've owned.

Weakness:

The interior has too much hard plastic. Previous Celica's had better interior material (vinly). Upgrading stereo sytem was a pain. Toyota Racing Development parts are too expensive.

I got this car at a pretty good price (21090) fully loaded. I would definitely recommend this car to everybody looking at Sports Cars in this class. I love driving this car versus my 95 Celica. If your looking for a reliable name and reasonable priced car then Celica's for you. Finally I can hang with the thousands of Acura Integra's that crowd the sport compact scene. They way Toyota developed this engine, it's pretty much in the class of Lexus's.

Strength:

Tremendous improvement in the look of the car. I have to be honest when I first saw the car I really didn't like it but I can honestly say I love the way it looks now. The most fun car I have ever driven. The high redline and VVT at 6000 RPM are superb. The 16 in. wheels available as an option really make the car. The huge amount of standard equipment.

Weakness:

Lack of torque below about 5000 RPM. If you could somehow get some, hopefully aftermarket will provide, this car would kill anything in it's class.

I paid $25,025 and got everything except ABS and the 6 disc changer. This includes leather and security system. I love the way this car explodes after 6000 RPM. I had to strugle to keep myself from doing it throught the break in period. It is a true joy to drive and would recommend this car to anyone, especially those wanting something to compete against the Type R Integra.

There is no comparison. The new Celica is in a league of its own when conmpared to other Celicas. Toyota almost should have renamed the car.

Strength:

Sleek Design, Powerful Topend, Great Exhaust, Great Stereo, 16"Wheels,

Weakness:

This car has no torque. If it had a good take off like its topend it would smoke everything.

The celica has always been a little expensive, but it is worth what you pay for. I've only owned two cars and they've both been celicas. I was so glad toyota decided to put a little power into these things. Hopefully they'll come up with a way to add some torque. I recommend this car to any one who loves cars and craves attention b/c this car gets plenty of it.

Strength:

The bold futuristic exterior/interior design. When you know how to drive a car like this, it hauls serious ass. Living here in Utah, I couldn't resist taking the car up one of the canyons to test the cars handling. It didn't faulter once, it took the corners like a rear wheel drive car.

Weakness:

The keyless entry as an option. The italic guages.

I paid $22,300 for the car. Fully loaded. I think this is the best car in its class. The Integra GSR is showing its age and the New Eclipse design makes the car look funny. The Prelude is a superior car but it is more expensive and it doesn't come the the ammenities that the Celica comes with. Overall the GTS gets the most bang for the buck. It also turns head everywhere you go.

Strength:

-looks interior and exterior
-powerful engine when driven right
-BRAKES and HANDLING
-cockpit feeling
-not a "chick" car anymore

Weakness:

-interior plastic
-oem cd skips

i payed 23,000 for a fully loaded red gt-s with all that southeast offered. the leather is thicker and is less likely to "crack" then oem. i love the car but you have to learn to drive it, redline it is something you have to do to get it going fast. i've driven many cars and this is not the fastest car out there but it drives like it is and does a very good job trying. the interior is no suv, it's 'cozy', and the back seats are like many other japanesse cars 'small' but i have put 4 adult men in the car.
the brakes are great i was going to buy a civic si but the brakes on the celica are super. the handling is that of a sports car, one can get the rear to come out much like a rear wheel drive car due to the toe of the back wheels.
you should buy the gt-s is you have that urge to go fast sometimes, if you don't, but like the looks go for the gt model.
