this car looks good. It drives very well. Seats are supportive. the curves of the body look really good. reasonable standard features. options are not too pricey. dealer was excellent, gave fair and good price/deal. gas mileage. car is very practical, unlike SUV's.
Weakness:
materials of the backseats. very poor rear visibility. abs not standard. high finance rates. i just brought this car this afternoon, and i still can't believe i got it. This isn't an economy car, because its looks really good. But it has the same mileage if not better mileage of economy cars. I really love my new car. Its everything that i've ever wanted in a car, and the price was reasonable. The dealer at freehold, nj was wonderful. There are alot of aftermarket products for this car. I'm more than happy with my purchase, this car will put a smile on your face knowing its in the driveway. Its looks are second only to a 360 Modena, F50, CLK55 AMG, and a lorsner or brabus C-class or AMG c-class. For around $20000, you're getting a really fun car to drive, one that looks great, one that is practical. You really can beat that. my value would really be a 4.5, but i'll give it a 5 anyways. Similar Products Used: i did extensive research before buying my car. 1.8T jetta-just couldn't pull the trigger, the standard features were excellent, and everything was excellent, but it was not in my budget. WRX/2.5RS impreza-WRX was not in my budget. this car is the closet thing to a skyline sold in the usa. 2.5RS was over $22000. good car, but just couldn't buy it. RAV4-the worse list of standards ever. options were pricey. Rodeo/Rodeo sport-great finance rates, but it eats alot of gas. V6 has plenty of power. good car, but not practical at all. Xterra-same thing as Rodeo. Altima-i think this car is wonderful, but it needs to be seriously redesigned. Maxima-out of my budget, but a wonderful car. Sentra SE-i didn't buy one, i had an old sentra before, and that car was the best thing for its price. this car is a really amazing deal, good engine and everything else is good too. but i didn't like the fact that one of my coworkers had one. And the SER is not available yet. Honda's-the civic and accord do not compare what so ever to the quality to the celica. the hondas are overrated and they look ugly. G20-wrong engine for an infiniti. looks nice though. |

LOOKS VERY VERY SPORTY, SURE TO CATCH SOME EYES,ITS QUICK, GREAT PERFOMANCE. n-i-c-e!
Weakness:
after the antenna broke ,i noticed a lot of other celicas had broken antennas too.none other than that. I dont like the way every one is geting hondas(they're a good car and all) but if you want a real car go for the celica (the gts is great). Similar Products Used: honda, well i havn't lost to any of those "street honda's" |

The car is nice it was a good buy compared to my car that i had b4 which was an 89 formula 350 firebird.I needed a car that was good on gas and we all know how much $$ it is for gas.Its red with all power and a $3000.after market system in it so i am happy for now :)
Weakness:
geez it's like a can in the wind everything rattles door panels shake even with dynamat installed. and the black lighting panel where the license plate is is all plastic.other than being slow as hell which will be solved as soon as i get my turbo supra engine and make a swap. well i am now a big fan of sport compacts i would like to get another just for parts so i can this beast going for awhile.its a great car but it lacks the balls if it had them the car would be truly sweet.all i need now is some rims my new engine, woofers and i will be golden Similar Products Used: well this is my first "economy" car so i really can't compare |

Celica GT
Strength:
This car looks good. In Canada It comes standard with mags, A/C, Power windows, locks, CD. So, for the price, you can get fooled.
Weakness:
NO POWER, The GT has the torque of a Civic, passing a car on the highway takes way too much time. You don't hear any noise coming from outside, there is so many rattles coming from the car's interior... Great looking stereo, it's the first time I found a car in witch you can change the channel without taking your gloves off, too bad the speakers are crap. Don't even try changing them, the plastic trim will vibrate and that's the only thing you're gonna hear. The car looks great, but the interior is so "plasticky" that it ruins it. I should have purchased a 2000 Prelude, the problem was that I got taken by the Celica's look. Bad choice. I guess we all learn from our mistakes... If you care about looks but not performance, this is the car for you. You get great service from Toyota dealers. Similar Products Used: I miss my '91 Prelude so much, Honda didn't know about making a car quiet back then, but there was power at least... about the same hp but more torque. I owned a total of 4 cars before buying the Celica, they were all Hondas, I always was really satisfied with all of them. I'm going to buy a Jetta Wolfsburg this week, I love the look, the handling, and the countless options. I don't want a squeaky hatchback (Acura RSX) anymore and the Accord Coupe isn't any fun to drive. |

Celica GT With After Market Products
Strength:
The Strengths of the Celica Lie in its Torque, From the moment I first drove in the Celica, I felt instant traction, and power at the wheels. Handling in the celica is crazy, I took a corner at 115Mph and didnt even get any push or "understeer" The Inside is nice also, equiped with a great stock stereo, and bucket seats. They kinda tell you to enjoy the ride when you look at them.
Weakness:
The only weakness I have found with the celica, is that it has a terible blind spot in the back, and the the Gestapo, errr Police like the color of my car "Brite Red", Havnt had any tickets yet.... YET Well, I had my celica for about 2 weeks, when For some reason, 2 pistons shattered. Well, toyota was dumbfounded, and sent me out a new motor, and the dealership repaired it. They said I was the first to blow a motor, and I felt proud. Heheh. Similar Products Used: Mitsubishi Eclipse: Well, I was a Diamond Star Motor Lover, untill I drove the celica. Infact, I have an eclipse also, but it just doesnt do for me what the celica did. Infact, the eclipse has terible handling compared to it. |

Strength:
-Great interior design, great stereo, great acceleration, very stylish, great engine, nice sport car look. Does pretty well with the TRD cat back exhaust system.
Weakness:
-Hate the brakes, blind spot, very attractive when it comes to policemen, there are not much of performance packages or body kits for it. It is a great car, with much more horsepower and better interior than those honda civics, i'd recommended this car to anyone. What I only don't like from it is that there aren't much, for not saying nothing, performance products like exhaust systems, air filters, turbo chargers, suspension, bars, headers, etc. Similar Products Used: Mitsubishi Eclipse- pretty lame for my celica |

I hate the blind spot when you reverse I love the car. For such a small price you get all the options (ABS, power doors, sunroof, etc.) Great value for a great car. BMW at 35k doesn't even have cruise control or CD player! Similar Products Used: Raced with BMW 323,2001, kicks my ass now, but Celica has potential and it can beat it |

Celica GTS
Strength:
Very Quick, very reliable, plenty of features for an 86, very sporty feel, low maintenance, and plent of hatch space, can basically fit a coffin in there (which means unlimited potential when it comes to a system. Waaaaay ahead of its time.
Weakness:
View....... huge blind spots, rear passengers better not be expecting any let room cuz its non existent. Factory sound system is a pain in the $ss to remove and replace without basically taking the whole dash and rear interior panels of the car apart. Very little aftermarket for the car, dunno why, but there's practically none! This car is an excellent buy for its price, and its really reliable, but if you're a power hungry freak like I am, then this car isn't for you (cough up the extra cash and pick yourself up a supra like I'm going to in a couple of months!!!) cuz there's no aftermarket for it. It has plenty of potential, but can't find the mods for it these days. But if you want something that's quick and you're not a freak, then this is the car for you, if you find one that's in good shape, I guarantee you'll smoke enough cars to keep you happy and satisfy your ego. Here's one to laugh about, people are going to think I'm lying but I'm not, I raced an auto 87' 5.0 Mustang and I beat him 0-100kms/hr 3 times until he gave up. He was in shock, he didn't even know what my car was, but I left him baffled, but mind you anything past 100kms/hr he started gaining on me real quick with no problems cuz of that extra 3L of engine size he has on me. But pretty much after what I did to him, he was ready to cry, I kinda felt bad after cuz he looked like he was seriously going to cry at the last light I saw him at. Similar Products Used: Honda's between 86 and 92 (anything before that damn V-Tec situation kicked in) CRX, Prelude, civic, integra's (can smoke any of those stock, but with a few mods, they'll leave you in dust), any Talon (non Turbo of couse), 90-96 Celica's (can smoke those effortlessly), 86-93 VW GTI's, I even put up a good fight against a G60 once. |

Power when you need it.
Weakness:
Stock stereo stinks, it gives a hollow sound. This car is great. I don't really have any compliants except for that stock radio thing. It handles very well and I'm on the road all the time so gas milage is a factor for me(reason as to why I didn't opt for the GT-S). I recommend the K&N filter though it's about $35. it's totally worth it. The GT gets great gas mileage and even better with that filter(Believe it or not). TRD has aftermarket products that you can have installed your dealer which won't void the warrenty either. Similar Products Used: Acura Integra, nice car - out dated interior though. |
