Strength:
Brakes, acceleration, smooth transmission, quiet ride
Weakness:
Seats could be better. A little boring, but the 2002 takes care of that problem! Excellent car! It grows on me the more I use it. I bought the 6 cylinder with 20,000 miles on it. This is a smooth, refined engine and transmission. I put 20,000 miles on it in 1 year and there is nothing wrong other than a buzz from the radio speaker. The new Camry looks like an amazing deal and I hope to buy one of them (many years from now). Similar Products Used: Rented Taurus, Honda Accord. The Taurus doesn''t stack up, the Accord is pretty good. |

Camry LE
Strength:
Engine performance, quiet ride, good handling, excellent brakes, durable interior, good mpg, quick heater and cold air cond., roomy for 6''2" driver and same size back seat son. (Like safety features like ABS, and rear headrets).
Weakness:
Paint somewhat dull, could be due to poorly maintained finish by prior owner(s). I am concerned about recent news articles about engine sludge problems with ''96-''01 Camry''s especially without prior owner''s service records - this is a red flag... Bought my 2.2 LE with 86K+ miles from ad in newspaper. Probably the best car/deal ever. Although it has relatively hi miles, it is almost rattle free, good fit and finish and everything works. Get lots of compliments for 5 yr old car! Would buy another Camry and would recommend one to a friend who either knows nothing about cars or was an expert. US manufactures still can not compare to similar size Japanese autos - they''re still not there yet. |

Strength:
very reliable like the remote system its an easy car to have around
Weakness:
Mines Australian made so things do not quite fit how Toyota designed them. After owning many european cars I thought everyone spent huge amounts of money keeping their cars on the road. Then I got my Camry and my life changed I have money in the bank for other things like food. This car just goes and goes and still looks great after all the abuse. Everything, very reliable, I know that she''ll always be there. Paint still looks brand new (I always get compliments and she still makes the heads turn) Oh yeah.. Did I mention reliability? :)
Weakness:
Absolutely None. I have owned this car for 3 years on May 1. I also very fondly call her "Cammy" go to her and is very fun to drive in my I''ve never had a problem with this car. No money has been invested in it and my parents swear that it still drives like the first day that they bought it! Engine is very smooth and I fully trust her to get me wherever I need to go, especially cross-country trips. I passed 198,000 miles on it the other day and I have no doubt that I''ll be trouble free for the next 11 years and more. :) I''m not much into the racing scene but the kids around here just get plain annoying and need to get put in their place (which they most certainly do). This car still has a lot of get up and opinion. I''ve never been beaten in a race even with newer cars that have a lot less miles on them! I love it Don''t buy anything but a Toyota, you''ll never go wrong or be stranded! Weakness:
None if you don''t rely on a car to add excitement to your life Ifyou are an engineering type like me who uses a car as an appliance, this is one of the best autos made. A utilitarian''s dream-a sensible, reliable car, easy to service and low cost per mile overall, safe and quiet. Purchase from Hertz was excellent if you know how their car sales system works (Use their national web site to locate the one that is cheapest) Similar Products Used: Accord,Legacy,Maxima |

Camry LE (4-Cyl.)
Strength:
Good brakes(ABS). Great gas mileage: 25-27 mpg in the city and 27-29 hwy. Full-size spare tire. Reliable, quiet, roomy and comfortable. A decent CD/Cass. stereo system and speakers with nice features and the antenna in the rear window is a nice touch. The 4 cyl.engine impressed me on the first trip to the mountains -no problems with climbing at all and cold A/C in Arizona is a must... fortunately, the Camry has it.
Weakness:
Okay, it''s not the sexiest car on the road. So far, the car has met or exceeded my expectations since I bought it w/ 29,000 miles on it last year. I have since put 7,000 miles on it in approx. 8 mos. Paid $280 for the 30,000 mile scheduled maintenance. Nothing else other than gas. The shopping experience and deal at Hertz was a nice surprise. 1-Quality and value. 2-Excellent road car (in SE conformation). 3-Roominess and economy of operation.
Weakness:
None identified so far. I love the car. The drive train (4 cylinder, 5 speed manual) is silky smooth. The car handles well and is very quiet in operation. It is extremely comfortable and spacious inside with a cavernous trunk. Similar Products Used: Honda Accord, Ford Taurus. |

Dependability. Well built. This is the best car anyone can own. I am the original owner and bought my car in 1991. It has never needed any engine repair until this year (11 years later). And only because of wear, tear and corrosion over the years. The car has well over 200,000 miles. The car may not be as exciting as a sports car, but not having to send it to a shop for repair for 11 years, how can you beat that! I''m buying a new car this year and again I will be looking to buy a Camry. Similar Products Used: Taurus |

Camry LE
Strength:
Very, Very reliable and easy to repair according to my mechanic - just the 4 Cyl. 95K miles and have not had any major repair other than the power antenna. Very roomy.
Weakness:
Does not take turns well at all. Lost control once. See those signs...Curve, 20 MPH ? Respect them if you drive a Camry! Especially in wet weather. Pick up is there but very noisy - I try not to exceed 3000 RPM. Power antenna - first to go. Thank god they eliminated it. Driving position not great for little people - surprised coming from the JAPs!! This was my third Camry. The reliability and mileage for its Class are the two main reasons. Lost a lot of features from the 86 car to the 95 - Very dissapointed. Kind of noisy. Did blow the H.Gasket in one, I think pushing the engine up the hills beyond its normal capacity does it. In the market for either the Camry V6 or Lexus(the extra cost has to be justified in true quality, not just the show)- My time has come for a more quiter and bit more powerful car. Similar Products Used: Honda Accord - great turns but a bit bumpy on the ride. |

Strength:
Gas Mileage, Paint, acceleration for a 4cyl., insurance price, reliability, comfort.
Weakness:
A/C I purchased this vehicle at the age of seventeen lookn for something reliable and good looking. And that is what I have found. I have 156K on the 4 cyl right now and ill be damned if it doesn''t drive like new. The single problem I have had with it has been the A/C, had to replace her twice, but Toyota did cover $600 of total cost because of a defective part on that year. I would suggest to anyone.
